Love your content bud! Maybe do this one again with a “control”- shoot a group with your field points to show how you typically group, so you can compare how the broadheads deviate from the control. Also, do it at a distance that would be a bit more realistic in a hunting situation, 50ish yards max?
Yeah for sure! Especially since I didn’t put in a couple field tips as my base result. I can typically hold a pretty good group at the 90 yards but yeah I should’ve added a control
Kinda what I was thinking but the fact that Ramcat hit nearly the same spot was cool....but the exodus missing a little low and then just enough low to split the targets is about the same. I'd say at 40 yds all 3 would be perfectly fine.
Before conducting a video such as this, it would be ideal to verify to the audience that the bow is in fact tuned. IMO you should have shot a couple arrows with field points and showed how well they grouped with the broadheads. Because this video doesn’t show how well the broadheads will actually fly if your bow is at tuned.
Yeah for sure!! I was in a hurry and rushed it for sure! I’ll have to do another one with my field tips. The bow is tuned and shoots excellent! I can typically hold a 8” group at 100 yards if that helps at all
I just shot the Exodus last night, I've been tuning my bow all weekend and got my slick tricks hitting the same point as my field points. Shot the QAD at 20yds and its 6" low, not entirely sure why yet. My rest is already maxed out on height adjustment as well.
You should give Wac-Em broadheads a try. I used to shoot them out to 120yds. They shot the exact same as my field points. I've never found any heads, mechanical or fixed that matched their accuracy. Those heads also performed very well on deer.
Cool test ,I like the cats , been using the cats for a few seasons now . The set screw functions just enough to be confident with secure blades on impact, as far as I'm concerned anyway.
Thanks for the review, I have shot the qad exodus for years always swept blade, this year messed around with the full blade and found them to be very critical, they don't behave the same way the swept do at all.
Yeah sorry I was just in a hurry due to low camera battery, but I probably shot 20 shots at that distance and had the same outcome so that’s what I highlighted with just 2 shots
I enjoy your videos a lot man, but there are so many variables that go into shooting a fixed blade at 90 yards. Don’t make a decision off of those results, go to 60 yards which is about the max you should shoot a fixed blade and see what results you get from there.
Thanks for your support man! I had the same results at 60 yards, every now and person will shoot different heads differently for sure! This is what works best for me and I got the ramcats dialed into a 3” group at 60!
Alot can happen at that range but I would shoot and have shot the ramcat and the Exodus and both where very good I don't trust that annihilator it's just too small of a cutting diameter for me.
Haxen Hunt I’m no super tuner but I’m getting sub 2” at 50 yards with mine. I’ve shot the 150 grain stingers and 125 grain black hornet. If you email me your address I’ll send you one of each? thomas26280@hotmail.com

I hope you enjoyed making this video.........I'm sure you did, because shooting is always fun but I think I missed the point. What was this supposed to show?
@@HaxenHunt The Ramcat is a good head but the Exodus are absolutely brutal. I'm not a "gear guy" so I'm not one to try everything new thing that comes out. I tend to find something that works (for me) and I stick with it. I shot 100 grain Thunderheads for many years. Actually had 1 head that had 9 whitetails to it's credit. Had to replace 1 broken blade once and just sharpened it the rest of the time. A few years ago a buddy suggested I try the Exodus. I screwed one of his heads onto my current setup and was instantly and repeatedly hitting a 2" circle at 50 yards. First deer that season was an adult whitetailed doe at 24 yards. The Exodus punch through both shoulder blades. She plowed dirt and leaves, with her nose, for 16 yards and flopped over without another twitch. The blades on that head were still sharp enough to cleanly cut paper or lay a finger wide open. Been shooting them ever since.
What's the worst way to test something. This video right here. You but three arrows sub 3 in at 90 yards back to back with field points. I'll shut up put a clock down there.
There's no way you can accurately test these heads the way you did especially at 90 Unless you shoot three arrows same head same time And even then at 90 yards you need to be a Olympic shooter
I've shot Annhilator and Exodus. Will never shoot Annhilator at a big game animal again, for Turkey, heck ya, but not big game. For me it shot really well, but there was a lack of blood trail from it. I know I had a great shot but in my opinion if I was shooting the Exodus or something along those lines it would have been a much better trail. The Annhilator punches a great hole but doesn't slice, if that makes sense. I shoot 3 vane and line them up with my Exodus blades and it shoots awesome. If they aren't lined up it isn't as good. It looks like you are shooting 4 vane so that may be the difference. Just throwing this out there.
Shooting freehand at that distance leaves too much room for human error. Since there was no consistency in any head, it proves that. A more realistic test would be about 40 yds. Reduces human error and more realistic to hunting distances.
Ramcat you have to account for spin drift because of the design of the blades. Excellent broadheads use on compound, recurve and crossbow. All 125 grain

90 yds is a heck of a distance. Good job for even hitting the target. Video should be called “how accurate am I at 90yds”
Exodus swept blade are the only broadheads I’ll ever shoot. They are fantastic
I’m going to give them another chance!

Shoot tune your bow with a bareshaft and you'll be amazed at how everything Flys!
I used the ramcat for deer hunting and the Annkhilator for a boar hunt. By far, I love the Annihilator. It does an amazing job on a tough animal.

Cool test ,I like the cats , been using the cats for a few seasons now . The set screw functions just enough to be confident with secure blades on impact, as far as I'm concerned anyway.
Ramcats on my bow shoot like a field points and the most important part is the massive blood trails and penetration.
Why the Hoyt and not the Mathews?
Cause I can’t shoot the Mathews as good as my Hoyt haha
Had the exact same question!

Yes it was due to my arrows being pretty underspined… I have them another try with the swept blades on a stiffer arrow and they’re money👌🏽
ive used ramcats for 5 years now and take deer every year with them. i switched to the fixed blade ramcats last year.

All flight test with any reliable results has to be from shooting with a hootershooter. A hand held bow has too any variables.
20-50 yards 1:1 broahead and field point. This is more of a test of your long range ability than a test of the broadhead a
