You welded it up the PROPER way. Butt welds might be a little more difficult but it's the correct way in doing a revival project. Doing the same wheel arch repair on my splitwindow VW bus very soon. Much respect to you from Texas.
Hi Seppo, quick tip, when you fit the new arch, cut through both the new and the old arch at the same time, you get a perfect fit everyting, no big gaps , keep going buddy, youre doing well
Doing that often actually! But the width of the cutting blade will have to be welded up.... going in at an angle of 45degrees is better in my opinion! :)
Yes... but I have acess to the backside of all the panel, and there are no rust visible... And also... remember, in a month time I will (hopefully) be driving this in the snow and HUGE amount of salt... so it would be a waste of time to make it too good.... ;)

Thanks! good luck with your bus!
Thanks for posting those videos. Very helpful.
Thanks for your time and video! Enjoying the revival.
Great to hear!
I don't know how you find the time but keep it up I love the content.
Looking solid now, I like how you just get on with it without talking for an hour 👏👏👏👏
coming along , well done,
chronic decaying parts of the nivan, I'm not surprised
Nicely done! Good job!
That's looking much better. I was sure you were going to gash an arm or something on those old wheel arches!
Great work- you work fast!
Thanks!
I agree with you. Most important thing is having a solid car. Better done thank perfect. You save this one, it was pretty bad. Great Work Seppo!
Thanks!
That is looking so good!

Niva gonna make you cry ...
It sure will! ;)
Coming along great! Cut the exocage off, cut it down to fit inside the car.... That's how you do a rally Niva. 😁
haha NO! I love the exocage!!
@@SeasideGarage Please tell me you're going to tweak the shape a bit, so it fits properly, at least? 😉
Nice work, i agree with you about butt welding being better and not making a place for moisture to sit.
Hi sensible choice not getting to involved with the old filler, on this occasion I would have done exactly the same good video 🙂👍
Niva gonna say goodbye :) great video.
Niva will never drive around and dessert me!
Getting the bodged stuff out will be worth it, filler and fibreglass can hide rot so easily... :S

always use mask when you use filler !!
Had filter mask on when grinding and gas mask when painting/filler.. :)
