I know a lot of Moto Vloggers were there to test that bike, yet, your review was the most thorough. Thanks for getting into the necessary details as I’m seriously considering his bike.
I ride a R1250 GS TE year 22 which is fantastic. I had the pleasure of taking this bike out for 4 hours while mine was in for service. I wish i hadn't taken it out as i just love it 😂. I've been looking at naked bikes for 6 weeks trying to convince myself I'm to old at 63. But we're only here once so time to trade the GS for the M1000R. I don't tour for more than 10 days a year and mostly out on days or weekends so a dry bags and bungee straps would be all i need if touring. I advise everyone to take a test ❤ really enjoyed your review 👏
Great review. I love this style bike and I'm glad BMW got the performance up to match my Ducati StreetFighter v4. The Competition package is very tempting! I love the black paint with the M color and carbon wheels.
Very good review! You cover all the small details that most ignore to talk about. This your strong side. And trying to express how the bike feels to ride. Great work.
Love it! But I think the regular S1000R is better as a dd because of the lower torque settings. Having to get up to 9k before really feeling it’s power is going to put you into trouble with speed limits.
I agree! But still sticking to my modified MT09 SP (184 kgs wet, power up, pulls like steam train from 2’000 rpm right to rev max at 11’600 rpm) which easily stays with a BMW 1000R on a tight mountain pass 😎🏁🏁
I am still riding a 2008 inline 4 that I bought in 2012. The top speed is about 150 mph, and somehow I fit it well with no back and wrist pain after a few hours. I guess I will keep it, and spend the dollars for something else.
Many thanks Juliane for your excellent video, the m1000r is truly a magnificent machine and your comprehensive and knowledgeable description is always greatly appreciated, thank you 😊👍
Great video! I got my questions answered about this bike. I found the video only because I have just booked a motorcycle like this, which should be delivered in a week. I can't wait, I'm watching and happy.
Great video, if it wasn't from speed limits, I could live with one of these, but unfortunately where I live I could lose my license in 2nd gear on the highway...
Another great video, Juliane. I really love your honest reviews and I’m always amazed by how much knowledge you have on whatever bike you are reviewing. The performance pack also does it for me, you can’t beat black! Finally, Kate’s an awesome girl isn’t she, what you said was bang on! I look forward to the your next video. Stay safe! 😁👊
Great review as usual. I just trade in my HD sport glide for an s1000r, crazy! I agree with you, for me on the streets the s1000r is enough. Oh, and yes you and Kate are the sweetest moto youtuber. 👍

Nice test Juliane, so good that I just signed up. 😉 In autumn I reluctantly sold my S1000R MPack, having driven it for a long time is why I recognize you a great competence, detailed and precise impressions, you are really a very good tester! Liked the report and am a fan, but also an English teacher and used to being unpopular, so… will be familiar from the / you will recognise from the (not know from the), most powerful (not strongest), and worth upgrading (not to upgrade)
The 1250 GS shift cam is a peach so maybe this is also better than a stock single R. My Gen 2 rocks, especially with a reflash and frankly I don’t think I need any more on the road although I absolutely salute BMW for building this
really like this bike I used to have an 1000R 2021, but I wanted to do more touring and for me I cannot owe more than one bike unfortunately ! I tried touring a bit with the S1000R but it wasn't great comfort. You must love your job anyway, I have a Ducati Mts V4s 2022 right now, but who knows I do like BMW but I also love the blind spot, and ACC on the Ducati :) I would really love to test this bike though Keep up the good work I really like your reviews!
Nice video. I really liked listen to you… I am loving this bike… I thinking to order it but it’s a problem in my country salon still dont have it for look in alive and testing yet… So i wait. But i really want to see and order. Thanks❤
Nice video. I wasnt sure which bike I should buy (S1000 or M1000). For me it was the M1000R finally, because the difference between S and M isn‘t that big (in Germany) if you pick the M-Package (which really makes sense for me to pick it as an extra). With dynamic- and comfortpackage you reach a pricetag >21.000 Euro. So for about 1000-1200 Euro more I get all these features in the M-version + 45 PS more + ShiftCamTechnology. I guess both bikes are phantastic and if you don‘t need all the packages is S1000R is a great choice, too.
I own a 'flashed' 2020 ZH2 - Pre ESA with a 'few' carbon fiber and other add ons. I have a few bikes, but do I need this BMW? Great review to make me think about a bike where I already have a bike in this category in my stable.
Hi and Thanks for an excellent video!! I wonder how it drives? I am choosing between a 1000R and 1000RR but will probably choose the 1000R because it will be almost half the insurance cost. But I'm worried if it's hard with all the wind you get because there's no windshield? It's a matter of taste, of course. But I wonder about your and others' opinion?? Thanks
Juliane, Looks and sounds absolutely bonkers! A thorough review and explanation of the bike and all of its features. But does it have character - something that previous models seem to lack?
where you are on the road and for the country road in general, the bike is pearls before swine thrown and the normal s1000r is here basically not a bit worse. You also have to leave the church in the village ... the M1000r is primarily developed for the racetrack and the full power is anyway only beyond 13,000 rpm. In normal everyday life, you only drive with a maximum of 150 hp anyway, and even that is more than enough. The same picture shows itself already with the normal s1000r. ultimately both top motorcycles and with me it will be next year the s1000r with carbon rims because this difference is actually felt extremely and does not need to be a professional :)
I would definitely consider the M1000R if I could ride it year-round as my primary mode of transportation. However, we have very cold, snowy winters where I live so my bikes tend to be two-season toys, and at over $22k out the door the M doesn't make sense. I still want one, of course, but... Yeah.
Too much power for me but I’m very happy that BMW is overtaking the Ducati Streetfighter for the title as most powerful naked, great review as always! 🇬🇧
