I'm dreaming for the BMW S1000R. In defense of it, it is believed that bmw's point in this bike is to make it the most enjoyable bike in the streets. They didn't focused on the power purposedly. They focused on the handling (which is why they made it very light).
I've pretty much owned all these bikes with the exception of some of the more expensive Italian ones and I just bought a 2022 S1000R, my second single R, it's just so good as a street bike, and absolutely still rips when you need it to. Also has the best warranty.
Michael Neveesy of MCN pretty much said the same thing. It doesn’t have the punch you in the face wow factor or the track poise of some of the others but it is the one you would want to live with and actually spend some time on. Looking at getting one myself.
Indeed, I´ve just bought a 2024 S1000R, after a lot of research and test drives. It is superb, an excellent bike for the streets and twisty roads were I expend most of my driving. It´s so comfortable, excellent alternative settings and very powerful.
I have the Speed Triple RS and have had a Tuono Factory; they’re both amazing bikes. Both are incredible bikes especially on track, the Tuono though is the best for both street and track.
Job well done, guys 💖. As a proud owner of a Tuono Factory 2019, I can absolutely agree with your choice, haha. I did a 'Rom-Tuning' with my bike. Now it has no revolutions gap at 3000 rpm any more and it is way faster concerning the topspeed. There's now also a sound evolution! Oh my God, it was excellent before but now....unbelievable (with the original exhaust).
I'm glad you realise how fantasticc the Triumph triple engine is ! It's not always about outright horsepower but real world, usable power, whiccch many riders fail to appreciate. I have always loved the Tuona V4 but Triumph must be the new king ! Excellent review !
What it come to my view... is the 2 fisrt place ranking of the Speed... that no other bike made. If Troy would have rank it 3rd.. It would be the 1st... overall. An had receive the most compliments ofvthe testers. Good job Triumph !!
I'm with Troy. I own a SDR 3.0 and absolutely love it. It's everything he stated and will make you giggle like a child on the street and track. So much useable power EVERYWHERE! I added BST carbon wheels and the KTM/Gilles rearsets and it feels "Ready to Race". I've ridden the Tuono Factory and SFV4S, and they're also top notch, with the edge going to the Ducati. It's really user friendly and easy to go fast on, which may be a bit detrimental to your license on the street, but worth the risk. I'd like to try the new Speed Triple. I like the character of that motor and being the lightest bike makes it intriguing. Great comparison, but I think Ken just hates electronics. He's old school! I see a lot of grumblings in the comments about the MT-10 not being included. The MT-10 SP weighs in at 467lbs and has 131 RWHP, which is far less HP than any in the test, but as much weight as some of the heavier contestants. And let's face it, the only reason the MV and Kawi were included is because one is the most exotic and expensive, and the other has a supercharger
The 2021 MT10 has 160bhp and plenty of dynos showing ~150 to the rear wheel. Idk where you're getting "131rwhp" from, but if you don't like those bikes just say so. The MT10 SP consistently rank highly and usually finishes 2nd or 3rd in ratings for hyper naked shootouts. THAT is why people are grumbling that it is left out; it's because the MT10 is so good and usually finishes highly ranked among its peers. No, I don't own one so I am not biased but disregarding it so casually is just silly.
@@tylerross3847 I don't know what charts you're citing, but no bike with 160BHP is putting 150HP down at the rear wheel. All the comparison dynos have it at 131RWHP consistently. I've ridden an MT10, and a SFV4S, a Tuono Factory, and I own a Super Duke. The MT10 is a fun bike, but it's not in the same class as the Ducati, KTM, or Aprilia. I'd argue that it's probably better and more fun than the BMW, and definitely a better all arounder than the Kawi and MV, but it's not top tier without engine, exhaust, ergo, and definitely suspension mods. It's also fugly as hell
Guys, I ride a Tuono 1100 & they are indeed telling the truth... The Tuono is the King of the Nakeds for so so many years for valid reasons Do yourself a favor, and get 1 for yourself. It will be the best decision of your life. And total cost of ownership is cheaper too compared to the red camp As they saying goes "Belum Cuba Belum Tau, dah Cuba, Hari Hari Mau" 😎

Greetings from the UK, I have the Kwak ZH2 bought just for road use so high praise it made it to your track review, I agree with all you said about it, very big and comfy and straight line sped immense, ground toes a few times but need low pegs as I am tall so a trade off, the whole package keeps me smiling..
And maybe it’s just me but I’m fighting the looks of the Tuono, always have. It’s a sport bike with the plastics and a handlebar, doesn’t look right to me. If they had high clipons it’d look better.
enjoyed both these videos from ireland - nice work guys. Sadly I can't really ride my super duke right now due to the freezing, wet weather, but nice to see you guys enjoying all these kick ass bikes. great channel !👌 Ken really messed your scores up 😂
I test road that ktm superduke 1290 r last weekend and it was a blast. 2nd gear pulling wheelies. It is a badass motorcycle and will be purchasing one soon
I have the ZH2 and agree its not the best at being a track bike, but for what it is its fantastic on the street. For bigger guys, I'm 6'4" 260 plus no clothes it just fits. I can ride my ZX14 faster probably but ergos are just better for me. I put almost 4,000 miles on last year so it was my favorite out of of 5 street bikes. You would be shocked at the second highest mileage bike last year. Lol
I can't take this super seriously since the KTM wasn't set up properly for track - there are 4 bar positions and two peg positions, and you want to use that to your advantage at a track day. Suspension is something I can't comment on but my Evo has a magic ride similar to the best of TTX Ohlins I've used over the years. Your mileage may vary but I feel somehow that this bike didn't get the attention it needed to be at its best. Granted the Tuono is the best track bike of the bunch, I cannot fault that choice.
BMW do a whole bunch of the small stuff that makes their bikes so easy to live with. I'm sure if you complained in person as to why the S1000 wasn't up to scratch on the track, the engineers would look confused and ask why you don't just buy the S1000rr
I've seen all 6 of the top bikes here at track days, so clearly people who buy them use them on track and would want to know how they would do, even though they could have gotten a S1000rr, RSV4, zx10 or panigale.
I know the Yamaha and Honda aren't up to 11 like many on this group but I would have liked to see them in there too, just for shits and giggles. Maybe next year ? The MT-10 got a small revamp for 2022, so . . . 😏 Anyway, great work, Crew ! Looking forward to next year. 👌🙂👍
True, CC, ... The Best Hypernaked -- Superduke R EVO 2022 won't be coming in my country - India, or i would buy it. I am torn between Harley (Fat-Boy 2021 / Lowrider 2020 / Sportster-S 2021) versus Indian Scout. I would love to own R1250R - the naked variant of BMW R1250GS (M1300GS upgrade coming in 2022-23) but doubt if it will sell here. Kawa ZH2 is top heavy and looks out of proportion, bulgy/bulky. Ducati Streetfighter V2 seat height of 845mm is tall for me, & if Supersport 950S had its engine, I would want to buy one. Scrambler-1100 is the most comfy bike for city-commute more than any naked/roadster, it's torquey, but underpowered. I don't fancy the Speed Triple 1200 RS but the new & overpriced 1200 RR Cafe looks stunning.
I wonder if the Ducati SF V2 would’ve placed higher than the V4 considering why they placed the Triumph in second. Usable power is more enjoyable than unmanageable power.
Don't agree with the outcome. The Streetfighter S should be on top and only 3rd place because Ken can't set it up??? The Tuono 2nd, KTM 3rd then Triumph RS1200 4th in my opinion. Also as said before the Streetfighter on test is last years model. The 2021 bike has the peak torque 2000rpm lower and makes for an even more mental bike. Shame really 😕
I dont get it , the bmw goes faster 0-200km/u then the h2 and U all say it doesnt have the power ... and H2 100-200km/u 3rd gear = 4.64s , BMW 100-200km/u 3rd gear = 4.03s so its faster in the retakes aswell ! only above 250km/u the h2 is faster ! btw superduke 100-200km/u 4.19s , the numbers are tested by a European tester on the autobahn and its done 5x time on each motorcycle. measered with gps.
Hmmm, a comparison like this without Honda CB 1000 R it's like a wedding without music.....under the conditions that I own a Kawasaki z900, so, I'm not a honda boy, but still...
As a Speed Triple 12 owner I can't imagine a better everyday bike, I am mostly into canyons (I live in the Mtns) and commuter with track days here and there, I am just smitten with it.
To put the ZH2 on 6th place is a travesty. On the other hand when you have four 120pound bearded girls riding a Bike made for decent sized Men, what should you expect? 🤭😉😅🤣
A very good test after a long period on youtube! MV Augusta is Italian lazy craftsmanship & IT. Ducati is owned by VW i.e German ingeneers tune the electronics, hence the top notch.
Awesome video... My only critique is that the Aprilia really isn't a naked bike like the others... It's got an upper fairing, a wind screen and a large lower cowl. Basically, it's got a fairing, with a 7" sliver removed from the middle... That is going to make a difference on track and at high speeds, having 90% of a sportbike's full fairing on the bike, when the others don't. I love the Tuono, I have owned two of them, but it really isn't a naked bike... I wouldn't have put it in this group, personally... I know that they market and sell it that way, but when you put them all together in a lineup, its very clear that "one of these things is not like the others"... haha
@@MrB590 nothing up top, which is the critical part. The Ducati has you perched out over the front tire with zero wind protection…. The aprilia has a lot of wind protection. I have owned both a Tuono V4 1100rr and a Streetfighter 1098. And the difference in the aero package is night and day.
The best thing about the Tuono is that it's existence has really pushed this category into excellence. I own a Tuono Factory and I absolutely love it. The rest are all great with different personalities and with the exception of two bikes in this test, I would consider them as a great add to my garage.
The only thing coming close to it, when it was released, was the 2008 Ducati streetfighter, at 155hp. The Tuono V4 smashed the market with a 170cv naked bike, when the other bikes except for ducati were barely making 130cv, like the triumph, the japanese ect. Before the SuperDuke the only thing that came close, but never on par, was the BMW a couple years later with the s1000r.

Not to mention the emotional thrill of hearing the engine with a more open exhaust.
I also have the RS and can't imagine a bike can get any better for canyon riding. Definitely gonna have to try out the Tuono apparently!
@@durkester the Tuono factory is a *treat*! We are lucky to live in such a great time for motorcycles!
You have the new one?
Aprillia just has bad customer service IMO. Other than that the bike is king.
For Track one of the best, BUT for Street never ever!
KTM is testing a new RC8 somewhere in Europe...🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰
Job well done, guys 💖.
As a proud owner of a Tuono Factory 2019, I can absolutely agree with your choice, haha.
I did a 'Rom-Tuning' with my bike. Now it has no revolutions gap at 3000 rpm any more and it is way faster concerning the topspeed.
There's now also a sound evolution! Oh my God, it was excellent before but now....unbelievable (with the original exhaust).
Awesome! I have 2020 tuono factory stock and love it the same as you do
I'm glad you realise how fantasticc the Triumph triple engine is !
They sounded depressed that the tuono won AGAIN
I'm surprised you didn't include the Yamaha MT10 SP in this comparison.
Aprilia has terrible reliability and customer assistance.
LOL, one guy rates the Street Fighter a 6 which bumped it from 1 to 3? How can everyone else place it 1 &2 but one person is way off in their opinion?
One reviewer is a racer and the others aren't. Simple as that
Actually, 3 reviewers are racers (Ken, Mark and Troy).
They should take the median score instead :)
He's too old for the tech.
Great job guys. Love your hardwork.
Aprilia Tuono 1100 factory for me, but they are all great bikes.
Kauf dir noch das Apex Pro Fahrwerk für die Super Duke! Dann ist das Bike erst perfekt! Das ist dann ein komplettes anderes Bike!
Tuono's been killing it since it's inception, I love them but hate how they are so good...
The BMW nearly belongs in the mid size naked now as the rest (other then MV) are bigger engines or supercharged
Guys, I ride a Tuono 1100 & they are indeed telling the truth...
The Tuono is the King of the Nakeds for so so many years for valid reasons
Do yourself a favor, and get 1 for yourself. It will be the best decision of your life. And total cost of ownership is cheaper too compared to the red camp
As they saying goes "Belum Cuba Belum Tau, dah Cuba, Hari Hari Mau" 😎
I love triuuuuuumph!!!!!!!!!! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 wish to ride it daily!!!!!
I would't own any of these bikes (being an adventure type) but if I were to choose here I would to for the Triumph.
Can you do a review on the new Ducati Hypermotard 950sp? These super sport naked bikes are wicked fun and fast. I’m very curious if the hyper feels underpowered.
I’m a little sad there is no MT-10. I’m not expecting it to win but a comparison would be nice
To old and dated to be relevant to any off these bikes. Next year they will have the new MT10SP.
@@srtspeedy4983 fair. Though the updates outside of aesthetics, and electronics are minor. The track performance won’t be that different
@@toofastnobrakes Not hughly different but it will be intresting what the best öhlins suspension money can buy can do to the bike. It will lack a bit power though comp to the top. But the tuono was 32 hp less than the Ducati..
If the just-announced MT-10 SP had been available, it would have been included.
@@srtspeedy4983 its where the Mt-10 makes the power. Peak figures, well.....who cares
At first I thought God damn! Hour video?!? But that hour went by fast! Job well done guys! Really enjoyed it but man I wish the new MT10 SP made it to this test but I'm sure Troy will put something together soon.
We wish the SP had been around, too!
The reason i love my Tuono
💪😎
What was the best lap time with each bike?
Greetings from the UK, I have the Kwak ZH2 bought just for road use so high praise it made it to your track review, I agree with all you said about it, very big and comfy and straight line sped immense, ground toes a few times but need low pegs as I am tall so a trade off, the whole package keeps me smiling..
I would love to have the ZH2 in my garage next to my 2019 1290 SDR :D
Is it just me, or does the Tuono not look like a naked? Headlights should move with the forks on a naked.
YES
Yeah it’s not really a naked.
Not a naked. Like saying the daytona is a naked.
And maybe it’s just me but I’m fighting the looks of the Tuono, always have. It’s a sport bike with the plastics and a handlebar, doesn’t look right to me. If they had high clipons it’d look better.
@@kmfiz 2014 street triple r. Most fun and good looking bike but I'm biased.
enjoyed both these videos from ireland - nice work guys. Sadly I can't really ride my super duke right now due to the freezing, wet weather, but nice to see you guys enjoying all these kick ass bikes. great channel !👌 Ken really messed your scores up 😂
My favorite is the Suzuki b-king 1340😍😍
Lol
Aprilia does stand out from the pack. Great line up though. Wish I could enjoy this 1+hr review video at AMC big screen!
I ride and race also owning a Tuono Factory as one of my bikes. I echo everything you say. They ride better when you push it and are more aggressive
The MT-10 got a small revamp for 2022, so . . . 😏
Anyway, great work, Crew ! Looking forward to next year. 👌🙂👍
shame you didnt do a bit of a wet test it would have been interesting to get an idea of how all the aids work on wet roads
There are so many awesome bikes now it's extremely hard to choose one. 🏍
Cruza, you like wheelies, get the SDR.
Cuz it's all about that torque, 'bout that torque, 'bout that torque.... no trouble...
I love the torque... the KTM would be my choice. I have an 890R and love it.
How long have you had the 890? Curious if you've had any niggles happen.
@@exothermal.sprocket I have 3000 miles on it. So far its perfect. I highly recommend getting one.
@@RoyClendaniel No electrical issues or oil drips?
No issues, leaks, or electrical problems.
@@RoyClendaniel Great to hear honestly. There's so many Karens crying about KTM all the time.
Its not a surprise that the Tuono won 🏆
I wonder if the Ducati SF V2 would’ve placed higher than the V4 considering why they placed the Triumph in second. Usable power is more enjoyable than unmanageable power.
enjoyed the review 100%
i wonder how many MV Agusta Brutale owners actually do track days really :D great video and comparison.
i would have had tuono, duke, speed as top 3 also speed triple 1200 is 180hp now i believe not the 140hp as stated that was last gen spec
September’s review and this one, no MT10? Why not round up to 8 and include the MT10 SP on the next review.
That was A good report. Thanks. I was interested in the MV. But...
Aprilia is a track bike stripped naked. The others are ground-up nakeds. Little surprise it wins the track test
The street fighter is a naked panigale....
Ill go ahead and predict it " UPCOMING DUCATI STREET FIGHTER V2 IS THE OVERALL BETTER BUY"
For your wallet, yes. Other than that, the v4s is on an entirely different level in every aspect
They dyno'd the Speed Triple 1200 RS in 5th gear, which has a limiter in 5th gear ... try 4th gear next time. It is not "only 140" whp.
I've had 3 Triumphs, Daytona, Street R and Speed RS. Great bike for canyon/hills riding. The little Street R was a blast.
Come on,aprilia comes with a back seat, just remove the tail and put the seats.
Excellent review format and enjoyed the variety of feedback from the testers - definitely an accomplished and experienced group.
To put the ZH2 on 6th place is a travesty. On the other hand when you have four 120pound bearded girls riding a Bike made for decent sized Men, what should you expect? 🤭😉😅🤣
These guys are too old to review these bikes…
They can afford them.
Most stupid remark of all
The Tuono comes with that winged rear end AND a passenger seat (albeit not great) so not sure why did didn't know that it came with a seat.
Too loud? Flippin hilarious.
The first thing most do is swap out stock mufflers for sc projects, arrows, etc.
Dueschbags
I know that they market and sell it that way, but when you put them all together in a lineup, its very clear that "one of these things is not like the others"... haha
and thats why its the best!
@@sverremoe4087 Agreed, but its a fairing sportbike versus nakeds, that's all I am saying... It's like Bruce Jenner winning "woman of the year"...
Neither is the Ducati it has too much fairing
@@MrB590 nothing up top, which is the critical part. The Ducati has you perched out over the front tire with zero wind protection…. The aprilia has a lot of wind protection. I have owned both a Tuono V4 1100rr and a Streetfighter 1098. And the difference in the aero package is night and day.
The windscreen on the tuono is tiny lol. I feel like it doesn't do anything at all
The best thing about the Tuono is that it's existence has really pushed this category into excellence.
Before the SuperDuke the only thing that came close, but never on par, was the BMW a couple years later with the s1000r.
for the sound alone Tuono wins
@@fatdoi003 Yes I find the Streetfighter and the Tuono the best sounding bikes here. Something about a V4.
Best description of the Aprillia rear seat.
"It doesn't want to be your friend. It just wants to penetrate."
Putting the 1290R below the Triumph? What a rookie mistake.
KTM super Duke 🔥😍😍
Tuono top of the tree for the past decade! What can I say
Very heavy don’t think so
I extremely hate the headlight of the Triump Speed Triple. LoL Not only me think so
Duke at no. 1 for me in every aspect of a naked bike
11:20 IDK what i could possibly add a few minutes later... longer review than everyone combined
Great test! However def surprised not to see the MT-10 sp or even the GSXS-1000. If the Kawi is there, I feel like they should be as well. I like them all but would like to see ALL the top dawgs". ;)
How does Aprillia keep getting included in the "naked bike" shootouts when it has a full fairing?
Great Comparison. Great production as always.
Great comparo. Love the thoroughness.
That Ferrari in the background at the kawaski station 😍
I'm not swapping my S1000R for any of these. I ride on the street and its better than all of these all told.
it is so not 146 hp for the triumph
y'all got bad batch or somethin :p
