Wait, there’s no turns at Straight Rhythm? Mind blown. Yes, Red Bull Straight Rhythm is a Supercross track sans-turns, just one long straight rhythm section, which should sufficiently explain the name of the event. Each of the invited racers grew up spending countless hours practicing turns, and we have essentially thrown it all out the window. Red Bull Straight Rhythm is about ability on the motorcycle with jumps, whoops, rollers, scrubs - and it's an all out sprint.

Perfectly made point about using videos of local 'unknowns' for trail research. I do the exact same thing for bike research. The guys who have PAID for the bike they're riding have way better insight than most journos

I just got my first dirt bike at 16yrs old it’s a 2002 Honda cr250r 2stroke I love 2 strokes so much more can’t wait to take it on a trail

Damn that's your first motorcycle? My dad made us work our way up, started with a blaster to learn the clutch, then he got me a RT 180, then I got a CR, when I was 16.

@DALTON TURNER agreed 110%, James is an absolute monster on track. Ricky is calculated and precise. I didn't race Ricky growing up in Clearwater. How ever I did race guys much much faster, Ryan Dean ( Flying Ryan Dean ) I personally rode with. Bob Hannah ( Yes, Hurricane Hannah ) was his personal trainer. Kid was insanity on two wheels. He had a rare muscle disease that killed his stamina. He would run a BRC Kawasaki 80cc at Daytona open class against 500cc bikes and lap 2nd place. Think that was 86 or 87 ? If you're Gen X you'll know these names..
I still have several James Stewart posters signed by him while he was riding for Yamaha.

I was so bummed when Travis was crashing more and more during his MX days. Was really hoping he'd hang in there and dominate a few titles. One of the most exciting riders, for sure.
This makes me miss James Stewart, for sure. Wish he'd do more with the sport since he retired from racing. The few SX race analysis he did was really cool.

If I was a pro racer, I'd have one of those in my back yard, you get woops, triples, table tops, big doubles and your running the clock as got to make a pro a better rider, I'm not saying you don't do no track practice, but these is like a workout, you could run for 30 or 40 mins

Cool event, but would like to see some close races vs 2 an done. To me, needs to be better match making then you'd see the odd 3rd race. As it was the favorites won easy 2-0 through the first round to prove my point in the 250 class 😑
