I'm so glad you're still involved in the sport and making yourself available through social media. We are blessed that you, James, Ricky, Ryan, and many others are still front and center in the sport. Never underestimate your contribution. Thank you I appreciate it.
I agree I wish I could be there I know for a fact I could get your son fast I have only worked with 3 people but everyone of them went from goon endowing to ama pro not saying Chad can't do it but I can make chads life easy
Great to see him bouncing back after LL’s. You usually learn more from the things that are tough in life. Chad is really being a great parent by focusing on his kids having fun rather than turning into a psycho little league maniac parent. Thanks for sharing!
Chad, I did the same with my son. As father's we know our sons and see that progression. This is a natural "Next Step" for Tate. He's ready and he's smiling. That is the tell. Ya gotta love it !!! Cheers to bigger and better things for Tate and Kiah. Good on you for taking the step.
Champ you know more than any of us viewers but Tate was ripping that bike more than I thought he would the first time on it. He looks so much more natural on a bigger bike, let's go Tate!!!!!!
He looks more Settled and smoother on the 250f. Then the super mini. We all remember that feeling with the biggest smile on our faces with riding the new better bike
Definately the right choice Chad. Iv'e been saying it to myself for the last couple of months. Tate wuold be so much better and happier on a bigger bike. i'm smiling just watching him ride. Go get it Tate!!
I have been watching and supporting Chad Reed since the days of factory Yamaha on a 125 two-stroke and got to meet him back in the old days at Kenworthy motocross Park in Troy Ohio. Chad has always been a first class act in my opinion and one of the best riders to ever compete especially in what I consider the golden era of motocross and Supercross. With his exit of racing professionally full time we as fans were sad to see him go but we’re just as excited to see where the roads would lead him and what path he would take so we have been blessed that he has continued to be involved in the sport at any level. Now that he has children and they are involved in the sport it makes me even more of a fan of Chad Reed to see the absolute passion and commitment he has as a father watching his children compete in a sport that he helped grow and progress along the way. I love watching the whole Reed family as It brings us as fans into a raw realistic perspective from one of the best professionals to ever do it to now as a father to watching his children working their way up through the ranks and there is no faking it for the cameras. They seem very sincere and genuine it’s awesome to see Tate and the kids grow and progress and yes, while having Chad Reed as a father may help to have better support and equipment along with obviously the best coaching you could ever get at the end of the day once that young man is on the bike it is just him and his talent and you cannot fake that or buy that. I say that to anyone that wants to hate or get down on any of these kids don’t forget, they are kids and they are building the skills on and off the bike and they deserve any success they are able to obtain along the way. I can only hope someday that I am able to get a dirtbike for myself again and my son to allow him to experience the pure joy of riding a dirtbike and something else to bond us together, that cannot be put into words. I broke my back racing in 2001 at Kenworthy motocross Park in Troy Ohio on the pro national weekend in the 250B class on the dirty dozen. I was able to race two more years after that until financially just could not do it anymore and then went into the real world and became a plumber and entered the workforce. When I broke my back, I had the initial injury and pain and then for years it was like I had no problems with it. I made the decision to leave plumbing and become a police officer for about six or seven years and after that period of time decided to come back to plumbing, but around the same time began to have substantial back pain and problems from the injury sustained in 2001. The back injury and subsequent issues it has caused now has got me to the point where I have not worked full-time on a regular basis in a year and now I have dealt with the embarrassment of filing to get Social Security and any assistance I can get which has been more than embarrassing and take everything I have to admit that and honestly even start the process. Hard telling how long it will take to get any results but that’s life and I’ve gotta deal with it so please don’t think I’m complaining or asking for pitty because I am not. I mean after all of these years and all of the pain it has caused me I still love the sport more than ever. So getting to watch one of my favorite riders of all time now with his own family and children makes me beyond happy and it keeps me as interested and involved in the sport as much as the actual professional racing if not more. I Hope to get to see you guys doing some racing in person one day but regardless, I wish Tate and all the kids and family nothing but the best not only in racing but in life. You guys keep up the amazing work I look forward to watching it for years to come so much respect and love from Cincinnati, Ohio.
It doesn't matter what people say about getting Tate a 250. You're his Dad! And a professional MX rider. Excited to see the next chapter in Tates' career. Enjoy!!
Chad I grew out of 80's early and was on 125's at 14 years old. After breaking my pelvis and healing I moved up to 250 2 stroke by 15 and loved it. I really enjoy watching yalls videos.
The smiles, you can't compare anything to the feeling of riding with your kids, especially when they make a milestone. It's hard to articulate. It's just awesome!
I watch without opinions, just jaw dropping amazement. Love that I get to watch! Kids learning to ride then into teen's bigger bikes brings back memories of racing myself.
I think it’s awsome. I went to four strokes in the supermini class and then went to a 250f. Switching to four strokes early and skipping 125 made me faster and don’t regret it. Love the content and as a #22 fan, love seeing you guys still around
Tate looks SO much more comfortable on the 250f than the super mini. Good job Champ, love seeing how involved your being in your son and daughter’s racing. It’s so cool seeing 3 Reed jerseys out on the track!
Speaking from my personal experience, I was built like Tate & when I went from the super mini to 250f I was night & day difference in riding. He’s going to get better starts, ride better, & overall have more fun! Looking comfy
This made me smile. Brings back memories of my first time riding a big bike. Feels like you can do anything. Great memories ahead for the Reed family. 🤙🏻
Chad. So good to see both you and Tate riding with a smile mate. You are 100% spot on that Tate has the skills to get it done. I’m sure you also see he is just a little short on the “fire” Not getting that ticket I think was meant to be. What he’s going to learn this year will get him over that mental hump to where he will know he can.!!! Next season is gonna be the TR22 show baby…!!! Thanks for sharing the adventure.🇦🇺
I think Tater has this covered! Who are we to doubt your approach... I watched you dominate for years brother! Grind on Tate. You came a LONG way in just a year! This big bike just expands your ceiling to grow! Smart move in my book!!
Perfect timing papa.. take away from any disappointment and create some excitement and desire to keep riding with a huge smile.. yes he looks good on a bigger bike
I love this transition. Supermini to big bike. It seems like they keep carrying their speed in the corners like the small bikes they came off of. He looks like he is going to do very well!
Something good always comes from something bad ! Tate looks so much happier, faster and smoother on the 250f, training on a 85 for Lorretta's. I feel would have been time wasted for Tate when he can now develop technique on the 4 stroke. Kiah is not angry she lost her 85 riding buddy, she is angry that she isnt big enough to have a 250f lol. Kiah, Im expecting good things from you at Lorretta's, time to grind little sis. Thanks for sharing, made me smile for so many reasons.
This episode brought back so many memories with my son when we got a 250F. We did a lot of riding together. He was faster than me at about 13 years old.
Dang this kid looks so natural on that 250! Way to go Tate! Keep grinding and learning from your pops who by the way had pretty dang awesome career riding dirt bikes. lol Chad, you and Momma Reed are such awesome parents. I look forward to seeing the riding progress and hearing what's next for you and the fam. You guys have inspired me to get back out and ride more!! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your journey with us!!
❤ What a way to cheer up a sad boy after regionals. Tate was just oozing with exitement for the new steed! Great choice of bike, lots of time to adjust and you’re fortunate enough that there can always be plenty of bikes in the stable. Just look at how fast Haiden grew into his 250, that’s only what 3-4 years away? Either way I really loved seeing you have those special moments with your boy. Ellie seems to be slowly, perhaps reluctantly accepting the inevitable (that her little boy is really becoming a young man)😂. I can only imagine how it’s both exiting and scary as heck to watch them grow up.
I was excited to see what Tate would do on the 250 thumper and I was honestly very impressed & excited! I knew he'd ride pretty good but he was getting the hang of it quickly!! So glad to see it!
I think you're an amazing father, coach, and family Man. You know Tate looks like you coming out of those corners. Wish you and the two two team the best, and Kia at Loretta's. You and your Wife are a great team!!!
You've done a lot of great things as captain of this ship... getting off super minis might be the best one to date🙌🙌🙌. Those death rockets do more harm than good in my opinion. Skip it and right to big bike. 125/250. Again... well done Chad!🙌🙌🙌 here for this, 🤘🤘🤘
25:33 I felt the same man ! I saw the excitement of Tate on 250cc is awesome to watch ! He looks really good on 250cc. I think u made the right choice on Tate ! Keep grinding your motoFamily in fun to watch ! From Cambodia
I thought Tate looked incredibly smooth on that turn track!!! And with father and son both riding around on the big bikes the ruts are gona get deep for Kiah. Rooting for her at Loretta’s!!!…. Excited to see what the future holds for the Reeds!!! 🤘🏻
Tate will really start to dominate the smaller bike now. The confidence that is gained from going from a heavier more powerful taller bike back to a smaller one will mentally jack his confidence. I love this sport 💪
So awesome!! What a great learning experience to translate to the supermini. Should be able to help manhandle the supermini with the extra strength he'll get from riding the bigger bike.
Awesome choice Chad, i’ve been a fan throughout your whole career but honestly mine peaked about the time you were hitting pro. But I remember when I was younger and I struggled on minis until I moved up to 125. Then things developed really quickly. Some people just grow and develop at different rates.
Chad I loved watching you race bro and now to watch you work with your kids racing I now this your son is riding with one of the best riders in the world
Funny his style actually looks way better in the turns on the 250f, almost looked like he was sitting back in a chair on the mini and he looks way more in control on the full-size 😂 dudes gonna be a unit soon enough
i learned on a yamaha tt350, from about age 7-8, it was my older brothers bike and only one available for me to ride, he explained and showed me how to use the clutch and gears and he used to kick it and pick me up and put me on it, and let me go and ride our like 1-2 km dirt driveway back and forth, and it really taught me how to ride, i'm so thankful. i now as an adult have that same model bike and it's my pride and joy. #queenslander
That comment about crashing for the first time and going for a Kickstarter that isn't there got me because that's exactly what I did on my first e start bike 😂
Man. Bleep ya. Super stoked for Tate. Just reminded me of my first big bike. 81 RM 125, that was a special day. Looks like no more PDS suspension for Tate. He fits the bike well. Well done Chad!

Chad is 1 cool dad
I agree I wish I could be there I know for a fact I could get your son fast I have only worked with 3 people but everyone of them went from goon endowing to ama pro not saying Chad can't do it but I can make chads life easy
He’ll have a fucking ball on the 250!
Great to see him bouncing back after LL’s. You usually learn more from the things that are tough in life. Chad is really being a great parent by focusing on his kids having fun rather than turning into a psycho little league maniac parent. Thanks for sharing!

I nearly got emotional. That was a massive dad win. Tate ripped that thing.
Reedy is a great father…love to see how well this family clicks together 🤞👍
Champ you know more than any of us viewers but Tate was ripping that bike more than I thought he would the first time on it. He looks so much more natural on a bigger bike, let's go Tate!!!!!!

Good to see Tate with that BIG smile on his face!! Because in the end that's why we all started this stuff.

Best dad ever! Love watching your kids grow with moto.

This is so awesome. Thanks for sharing the ride with us! Our grandbaby is named Tate. Mom shot down Reed for a middle name lol.
😂 hahaha love it
Congratulations young man you look right at home on the 250, one door closes another always opens 🍻
The smiles, you can't compare anything to the feeling of riding with your kids, especially when they make a milestone. It's hard to articulate. It's just awesome!

This made me smile. Brings back memories of my first time riding a big bike. Feels like you can do anything. Great memories ahead for the Reed family. 🤙🏻
father and son on motorcycles with the same passion . Chad you are incredible, I always admire you!
Bro, you are a great dad and an inspiration to us fathers! God bless you and your family!

Thinking outside the box ❤
Sometimes kids move up to a big bike and things just click right away. Tate is one of those kids. Can’t wait to see what he can do in the next year
Yep Chad I know how you feel it was always fun riding with my kids but it is the best now that they are on big bikes. We have a blast !!!
Perfect timing papa.. take away from any disappointment and create some excitement and desire to keep riding with a huge smile.. yes he looks good on a bigger bike

I love the fact my kids now get to watch the next generation of reeds racing💯
"You don't want to get beat by a 45 year old"... CR22 is not the Avg. 40+ yr old... LOL
haha so true, Chad could still beat half the field.
Not ever going to happen
He is the bar, which is a great bar for Tate to have
The 250f is a great call!!
Chad on a 250 2smoke… I have watched those yz250 days over and over. I’m pumped to watch you back on a 250 2smoker!!
This episode brought back so many memories with my son when we got a 250F. We did a lot of riding together. He was faster than me at about 13 years old.
Your parenting your way is awesome. I’m a father of 5 being the best father possible is my goal. Thank you for sharing with us.
The best dad for very good kids , go for it tate , keep safe and always pray for your safety. Im always a fan . Enjoy your new bike 🎉🎉🎉
Love the 2 strokes, and everyone should have some time on them but 4 strokes are where the money is at these days.
Best video yet, on so many levels...having a 13 y/o that has now surpassed dad, I can relate to it all. Oh, and sweet turn track!
Dang this kid looks so natural on that 250! Way to go Tate! Reminds me of getting my first big bike. Love that feeling. Cool to see from the outside.

Woooow... what a good gift.... it will be the beast 250cc...

So much for an easy path to Loretta's next year. He just jumped in the deep end with some really hungry sharks.
Can’t wait to see him grow. That bike will build his confidence and him.
Reminds me of the great memories of riding with my dad all of the time. I'll cherish those forever
It was fun watching Tate checking out the "roost" he was now able to make.
Hitting the ruts ilke a pro already!! 250 was the right move
You've done a lot of great things as captain of this ship... getting off super minis might be the best one to date🙌🙌🙌. Those death rockets do more harm than good in my opinion. Skip it and right to big bike. 125/250. Again... well done Chad!🙌🙌🙌 here for this, 🤘🤘🤘
Wow! I am his age and I am still on ktm supermini. What a ripper!

Killer go get it Tate send it!!!! Hope to see the Reed's at REDBUUUUD!!!! Safe travels and GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!
Tate will really start to dominate the smaller bike now. The confidence that is gained from going from a heavier more powerful taller bike back to a smaller one will mentally jack his confidence. I love this sport 💪
Excited to keep watching this vlog!
So awesome!! What a great learning experience to translate to the supermini. Should be able to help manhandle the supermini with the extra strength he'll get from riding the bigger bike.
U go Chad I wish I could have had one of each at his age
Pumped to see your progression Tate! Ripping dude.
That’s awesome, Congratulations Tate!!👊🏻😀
Great job Tate, you already look good on that 250!! Train and enjoy
That's definitely Chad's son. Wild child!! Bro is man handling that 250!!! #22
It's a great idea may unlock that next bit of speed for him just getting used to going faster
Awesome choice Chad, i’ve been a fan throughout your whole career but honestly mine peaked about the time you were hitting pro. But I remember when I was younger and I struggled on minis until I moved up to 125. Then things developed really quickly. Some people just grow and develop at different rates.
Chad I loved watching you race bro and now to watch you work with your kids racing I now this your son is riding with one of the best riders in the world
I know it's not a super cross track but he looks way more comfortable and had a flow once he got use to the 250. Great job tate and congratulations
Funny his style actually looks way better in the turns on the 250f, almost looked like he was sitting back in a chair on the mini and he looks way more in control on the full-size 😂 dudes gonna be a unit soon enough
Tate looks so good on the 250f! Good times to come chad!!
This is awesome! I’m a big fan of Tate. Keep working hard, you have the best coach!

What a great move! 250 four stroke! 💯
i learned on a yamaha tt350, from about age 7-8, it was my older brothers bike and only one available for me to ride, he explained and showed me how to use the clutch and gears and he used to kick it and pick me up and put me on it, and let me go and ride our like 1-2 km dirt driveway back and forth, and it really taught me how to ride, i'm so thankful. i now as an adult have that same model bike and it's my pride and joy. #queenslander
Do your thing I was 11 on a 96 cr 125 and could barely touch the ground. Tate’s got this!!!
Tate is going to grow right in to that 250 by the end of summer. Let’s go Reed’s
The Reed Rebels going against the system, you have to love it.
BRO! He looks Soooo god on that thing, WOW
Always take your own way! What ever make you happy! Love from sweden
What a cool moment to get Tate his first big bike and take laps. Only happens once....
