I love how the lights of the Honda are constantly flashing, as if it's a rabid dog screaming and going mental into the corners.
Caution, Mad Lad ahead.
Its a huge safety feature, as drivers in cars ahead of the bike will notice that flashing in their rearview mirrors!
Honda, because this inline 4 engine sound is mental. I have never heared other inline 4 engine sound this good.

It’s not often I’ll watch a RUclips video for more than 20 mins but this mega test has been superb. Even all the B shots have been edited better, the whole package seems a big step on, honestly it must have taken a long time to put together but really well done. As for the bikes, I’ll take the sound of the Honda ( how does an in-line sound so good.), the excitement of the Aprilia, the practicality of the BMW with the looks of the Ducati.
An excellent couple of videos there gents, it was good to speak to the pair of you recently. You were busy but were kind enough to spend time talking bikes with me and lending me your mechanic! Cheers gents, I look forward to future videos.

I bought the Ducati V4 and I’m not disappointed in the least. I bought Ducati for the exclusivity, fit and finish and stunning looks. All of these new age bikes are wicked fast. Buy the one you like or even buy the one you’ve never had. Enjoy this while they’re still around along with 6 7 800hp muscle cars. Soon they will all be a thing of the past.
Love the vid! Would be interesting to know what bike is the best when in track spec (rearsets, exhaust etc) but great job lads!!!

I agree with Al here... I would take the Aprilia and a close second would be the Honda... the BMW just doesn't do anything for me. The induction noise of the Honda... the engine noise of the RSV4... the awesome handling of both... if you're going to get a Superbike, I feel you need to follow your heart over your mind. Get the one that moves you the most.

Having been to Portimao twice myself, I do remember a slight bump in the tarmac on the way into the left hander (Turn 5?) where Chris crashed the Bimmer ... was this the reason for losing the front? or as Casey Stoner once said ..... :-)

If the Kawasaki is not included here because it isn't in this tier of machine, then I have to wonder why Kawasaki has dominated WSB for so many years? Does it really just boil down to the riders and the resources Kawasaki throws into its factory team? I would be interested in hearing Fagan discuss that aspect of racing.
Rea’s race bike couldn’t be much further away from its road counterpart. Incomparable. Different wheels, forks, suspension, engine, electronics, gearbox, Rear shock. The only things that remains the same is the silhouette

I was going to buy a BMW super naked a few years back, I went to the dealer to have a look at one in the flesh. I couldnt get over how plastic and cheap it looked, exposed silver screws on black/blue panels. A motorbike these days is mainly a toy, something for a sunny Sunday afternoon, something you want to tingle your trousers when you open the garage. BMW's just dont have that thing that makes it special and exciting or a head turner.
So I went to Triumph thinking id get a Street T or Speed T, but first I made the mistake of "going to have a look" in Ducati dealer next door, I've had 3 Ducati since then. Love them, I dont care on paper a Ducati's might not be the best bike, because who the fuck cares about power differences or track times when you spend most of your time at speed limits on public roads, for me it has the thing I want and its the wow factor.

That engine light and the " - " on the gear position display on the Ducati is due to a faulty gear position sensor. Park it for a couple of hours and it'll go away but it'll come back eventually on your next ride. Happened to my bike and it was annoying but nothing the warranty couldn't take care of :)

You didn’t take the kwacker or Suzuki because you reckon they are not in the same class. The Kawasaki in WSB is untouchable and the GXR is going pretty well on track. Could it be a bi of snobbery?
The WSB bikes are nothing like a stock road bike. Different brakes, forks, electronics, engine tuning, rear shocks, swing arm, wheels. Totally incomparable. They’re testing road bikes, not race bikes.

I haven’t ridden any of these bikes but I find it hard to believe that two major manufacturers can allow their products to fall so far behind the completion. Just out of curiosity has 44 Teeth ridden either the Suzuki or Kawasaki recently?
yeah, the Suzuki has turned out to be an absolutely fantastic WSB contender. They’ve got Rea quaking in his boots.
I experienced exactly the same shifting issue several times with my new cbr1000rr-r as well, it's very very very very annoying.
For me on track the RSV4 all day... and it's the second cheapest of the 5

When you compare this kind of work to the Motorcycle Show or The Worlds Greatest Motorcycle Rides by Henry Cole, there's no doubt in my mind that you guys need a TV deal. Maybe the secret is that Henry Cole has his own TV production company...
i dunno guys,but this one seems a little biased when it comes to the overall rating given to each bike.how can the aprilia be beaten on the track by the BMW when you did not finished with the track test with it....then,the aprilia seems to be at least 1 seconds faster than every other bikes out there,BUT...what...you expected the beemer to cut this whole second? what tells you it would beat the RSV4 in that department?to me it's only a matter of.........FEEL? anyways...i can understand that,the beemer might be a better road bike,because more leg room,and lower pegs...but what about the R1M? doesn't it displays as much leg room and generally more ''space''' and less arms extension than the ducati and honda? this review sounds curious to me,while i agree completely with your stance about the honda.it's a high rev engine which is not very usable on the roads ,and then you ran into gearbox troubles which is unaccpetable for a bike with such ridiculous price tag.
Why no zx10rr?
this is why I love Spanish tracks. You lowside at high speed and barely anything happened to the bike. You do the same at US (or UK) track, and with the grass or dirt runoff's on those tracks your bike would be chucked a mile in the air and land into a thousand little pieces, total write-off... We need more tracks with paved runoffs! I know it encourages car drivers to drive though corners like idiots because of the low consequence, but for bikers it's a godsend!

zx10r - the first bike to offer 200+ bhp - missing! Ninja H2 - one with supercharged engine - missing as well! when this bias against kawasaki ends man!
I did a track day this week. Out of all the new bikes there RSV4's and S1000rr's were by far the majority. I will say that there were 5 2020 S1000rr's pitted next to me and they all complained about coil pack issues and how the dealers took forever to fix their bikes. Maybe its a change for the US market but just be wary. And there was one guy with cracking wheels. I know I only talked to 5 owners but if it were me I would wait a year and then buy the BMW. Because let's be honest, they just work.

You say Yamaha whose a mess because of the brakes and that made you lack of confidence, so you where hoping to be slow...and whose de second faster...Honda felt faster lol and it whosent...who convince are you the bmw whose definitely the faster ? BEST BIKE CONTENT PROVIDERS IMA. reminds me of early years of top gear just well worth watching no matter what these two are up to🤗
Can't help thinking the Honda with it's lack of low end power has really been built to rev higher with titanium rods etc. and really shows it's stuff once fitted with kit ecu, cams, exhaust. It's showing plenty of straight line in WSBK. On the other hand, the Beemer might be the grunt king standard, but in race form they can't get power out of the new engine.
These videos are incredibly informative and very entertaining.

What was the lap time of the BMW ? You said it's the best bike on road and track as well, but I didn't see the lap time. Or maybe I missed something.

currently riding a 2021 R1 (not M) im not a big fan of the brakes.! on everything i strongly disagreed the electronics are top of the line the wheelie control works great and definitely a more dramatic bike then the S1000RR and the CBR the sound the crossplane makes is out of this world and the way it makes power all across the rev range is incredible. PS i have lined up with a few rsv4 factory and they have not pass me fair to say my R1 has a graves 3/4 exh filter and tune im a 280 pound rider

@@rubberskilla2991 Not worth the risk of losing. See also why Ferrari wouldn't agree to group test the LaFerrari and the person who loaned theirs to top gear got excommunicated. If you're selling a best of the best 30k Motorcycle, you cannot have it embarrassed by a BMW starting at 15k.
