Great video, guys - your tire tests are definitely highlights, with your impressions of a series of bikes on the same track with the same rubber! As a 2016 ZX-10R non-ABS owner who regularly tracks his bike, I (pompously, perhaps) wanted to make a couple of comments. I rode my bike new in stock form on the track, and then put a full system on it, reflash and tune. In stock form, I won't lie - I was disappointed. The bike felt heavy, there wasn't a lot of power under 8K rpm, and it transitioned side to side a bit poorly. The brakes, I thought, were great - but no ABS on my bike. The traction control seemed all over the place, too. After the tune, etc., (and setting the engine braking control to "little"), the bike was massively improved. The giant chasm in the midrange power was filled (from 70 to 100 hp at 7K rpm, for example), and the electronics seemed to work tons better. The bike is also 12 kg lighter. A taller profile rear slick (like a 200/60) makes the turn-in great. But, you could probably expect a similar result from other bikes, too. A tuner I know here in the U.S. says that Kawasaki & Suzuki literbikes are probably the most hobbled by Euro 4 emissions at this point. Wouldn't doubt the Honda has that issue, too, and as you said in the video, a full system might really help it. Was the ABS that you struggled with on various bikes switchable at all?
classic @44teeth. I tried the Kawa 636 when it first came out and I still think about that bike - mega road bike too. It makes you think - get one and get modding with full system, carbon rims, blipper?..... could be the connoisseurs choice!
The Fireblade is supposed to have cornering ABS, so you might have been able to trail brake into the corner and been alright... I haven't tested it myself though, so I don't blame you for picking it up, lol
Damn.... very jealous. Only time I ever cooked the brakes on a bike was on a 2013 Kawaski ZX636R at Brands Hatch GP... I felt so confident in the electronics I kept braking later and later... and then the lever came back to the bar braking from Clearways into Clarke! :D That was a fun day! :D I don't normally ride anywhere near fast enough to suffer these things...
@44teeth so the 19 fireblade did not throw any Wobblies with the auto blipper with a non 50 profile tyre on it then? When I asked the Bridgestone technician at Jerez about the tyre woes with the 17/18 he said he had changed the tyre size on the dash, but this option is still locked on the 19. Cheers
@44teeth but you did feel the tc cutting in to much still like on the 18 with a 55 profile tyre on? I have felt this flat spot grabbing feeling when exiting a turn
Great video, love your content and quality everytime! Can I ask what your helmet setup is, camera and audio? Especially your com system is impressive, I can't here my mate anymore above 100km/h that's about 62 mph, you're crystal clear when on track?! Keep it up guys!
Recently got some S22s on my GSX-R. Brilliant tyres, especially the front. Gone into a few corners a bit too quick for my liking and just leant on them and they handled it no problem at all. In a nut shell they are more than enough tyre for the road. Look forward to using them on track. Loving the 44T content as per...
I was gonna get the bmw but they shut the dealership down here in Indianapolis. So I went with the v4. With that being said you can’t convince me the that the sRR is 2 seconds faster around the track than the v4.
I've been mulling over a replacement for my 955i Daytona, and as Triumph are out of the picture these days it's been a hard choice as I don't want an "ordinary" 4 cylinder jobbie. The one that had a good chance though was the GSXR 1000, but I think I'll wait a while and go for the Panigale V4 whilst I can still bend my leg enough to get on one. If only the mirrors folded! Cheers chaps. Great stuff again.
@@philclarke7712 not interested in a 765. Would like a Triumph that was up there with the best. The Daytona wasn't a bad effort in 1997, but it was never as good. Of course I won't be waiting on Triumph, so my pennies will be going elsewhere.

Always liked the overall balance of the Fireblade, Honda must do more on that engine to improve it's competitiveness for 2020. I agree, the BMW is supreme, but I wonder about long term reliability of it's engine.

I've been riding since 1980 best tire back then Dunlop K81 it's amazing how advance tires have evolved. I bleed green my bike ZX14 turbocharged, but if I was 20 years younger I would buy that BMW 1000RR attention to detail is gorgeous swingarm, under the seat tubular frame and so on. Kawasaki please build a new ZX14 with a supercharger with electronic suspension. Cheers fellow riders, love from Canada. 😀
Brilliant. Another great video guys, thanks for this one. That S1000 seems like an absolute weapon. Can't wait to see your guys' comparison video of it and the 1100 factory! Should be a proper showdown.
ABS stops you from locking the brakes up, but some are super intrusive and will start mucking with the brakes well before you reach lock up. In this case he came into a corner hard and tried to brake really hard, but the abs likely interpreted it as a panic brake and eased up the pressure when what he needed was to be right up close to lock up.
@@anidiotinaracingcar In theory yes, but sometimes they're a touch wonky. But it's also possible it wasn't pushed hard enough to cause a problem until that corner. EG you spend the session using saying 70% braking at max and everything is fine until you come in hot enough to want 71% or more and then it freaks out. Point being, track modes on these kinds of bikes by all rights should allow you to turn abs off completely. ABS is great for safety purposes on the street, but it's not designed for racing applications really where being right on the edge of lock up is sometimes necessary.
Awesome production values, love your content and its so nice to see David Walliams presenting :D You're CBR650R review by Mossy made me buy one. I pick it up next month when I'm back in the UK.
Maybe Al is a bit heavy footed on the rear which is triggering ABS. The fact that he was the one having issues a cross many bikes would suggest his rider input is contributing.
Bridgestone: could you review our tyres.
44teef: this bmw is amazing.

The front is insane, innit?
44Teeth bruv... those tyres far outweigh my skills/balls. Biggggg difference from the BT-021 that was on the front when I bought it haha!
25:05 => was that a celphone falling dawn from within the tire ?
Stunning footage of the S1000rrs going round I could feel myself actually riding one as I watched ! Hubba hubba
I was gonna get the bmw but they shut the dealership down here in Indianapolis. So I went with the v4. With that being said you can’t convince me the that the sRR is 2 seconds faster around the track than the v4.
watching 30 minutes of track driving.. and I loved it :D
How would the s22 get on with a big Jobby on the road? Biggest hobby right through it
Folks, please, would you share the laptime of zx6r ? Tks
Why didn’t you say anything about the zx6r can you in the future have a video review on it?
I've been mulling over a replacement for my 955i Daytona, and as Triumph are out of the picture these days it's been a hard choice as I don't want an "ordinary" 4 cylinder jobbie. The one that had a good chance though was the GSXR 1000, but I think I'll wait a while and go for the Panigale V4 whilst I can still bend my leg enough to get on one. If only the mirrors folded! Cheers chaps. Great stuff again.
Erm... New Triumph coming isn't there? Might be worth holding out for the 765 Daytona.
@@philclarke7712 not interested in a 765. Would like a Triumph that was up there with the best. The Daytona wasn't a bad effort in 1997, but it was never as good. Of course I won't be waiting on Triumph, so my pennies will be going elsewhere.
Baron's line's are really good. He's come along ways.

How does the ‘19 RR compare to the 15’ / 16’ Gen RR? ( I think you had a ‘16? )
I know you mentioned the lap time was better, but over-all?
Contemplating ditching my ‘16 RR for the new one. (?)
this is the dream. 20 brand new sportsbikes on a sunny Jerez.
Honda ABS = Automatic Bin-it System?
Man I need another track bike. Gixxer sounds like great bang for buck 🤙🏻
Great video! Good commentary, good footage with decent audio for the bikes engine (they sound amaaahhzinnng), great bikes and a nice tyre. Well done
How has the DDC evolved since the HP4? The DDC is why I sold it, lovely on the street, but at race pace very inconsistent and numb.
Always liked the overall balance of the Fireblade, Honda must do more on that engine to improve it's competitiveness for 2020. I agree, the BMW is supreme, but I wonder about long term reliability of it's engine.
When you guys go to Jerez, the content is always awesome.... i loved the RSV4 vs Panigale video...Espagnolo! Top job on this one, lads! Keep 'em comming the vids. You deserve the rewards for all the effort you put in.
"Double R" bikes list: S1000RR, CBR1000RR, ZX-10RR, GSX-R1000R or GSX-RR, Aprilia RSV4 RR, so saying somethign like "I like the RR" or "I blame the RR" can be confusing...?
I've been riding since 1980 best tire back then Dunlop K81 it's amazing how advance tires have evolved. I bleed green my bike ZX14 turbocharged, but if I was 20 years younger I would buy that BMW 1000RR attention to detail is gorgeous swingarm, under the seat tubular frame and so on. Kawasaki please build a new ZX14 with a supercharger with electronic suspension. Cheers fellow riders, love from Canada. 😀
i always liked the GSXR´s so i would go for the Suzuki
Brilliant. Another great video guys, thanks for this one. That S1000 seems like an absolute weapon. Can't wait to see your guys' comparison video of it and the 1100 factory! Should be a proper showdown.
Someone explain what they mean by the 636 needs a "blipper" quickshifter?
blipper usually refers to a quickshifter that blips the throttle for you on downshifts
What a great trackday with all those bikes and you two are rippen it, makes me won't to hit the track myself soon!
Which sportsbike would be the Best commuter bike?
Could you explain the ABS isssues? What happens? What do manufacturers say?
ABS stops you from locking the brakes up, but some are super intrusive and will start mucking with the brakes well before you reach lock up. In this case he came into a corner hard and tried to brake really hard, but the abs likely interpreted it as a panic brake and eased up the pressure when what he needed was to be right up close to lock up.
Yeah but isn't the ABS behavior consistent corner after corner, lap after lap?
@@anidiotinaracingcar In theory yes, but sometimes they're a touch wonky. But it's also possible it wasn't pushed hard enough to cause a problem until that corner. EG you spend the session using saying 70% braking at max and everything is fine until you come in hot enough to want 71% or more and then it freaks out.
Point being, track modes on these kinds of bikes by all rights should allow you to turn abs off completely. ABS is great for safety purposes on the street, but it's not designed for racing applications really where being right on the edge of lock up is sometimes necessary.
Hum...is it even legal to sell a bike with an ABS that can be fully switched off?
@@anidiotinaracingcar Yeah, several bikes let you turn the abs off fully in track modes.
Thank you! What you guys have to endure to bring us content...it's humbling.
Awesome production values, love your content and its so nice to see David Walliams presenting :D You're CBR650R review by Mossy made me buy one. I pick it up next month when I'm back in the UK.
Great video. Do bridgestone have the 60 profile rear for the ducati? Or did u go back to the 55. I wonder if the 55 really upsets bike.
What a life you guys lead! Lucky f*****s. Keep the videos coming. 🤙🏽
nothing mention about tyres but 13:58 the rubber safe you not the electronic ;)
Seen Neevsie larking about there too. As if you’ve done Colin Edwards ont brakes. Great job again guys
id love to see a longer format comparison of the Honda and Suzuki
All of the manufacturers need to watch this video and take everything you guys are saying into consideration
I'm a bit omellete on a good day. love tire tests love track time love 44 teeth.
Maybe Al is a bit heavy footed on the rear which is triggering ABS. The fact that he was the one having issues a cross many bikes would suggest his rider input is contributing.
The Honda gearbox, how many missed shifts?
Roberto Smith he said that he wasn't having any issues since this is the second year of the bike. They addressed the issue
