    Good test mate, I've always been told (and believed) that a paste wax would outlast it's liquid equivalent but it seems that is not always the case. If you throw in the price, ease of application and the fact that the liquid is trim-friendly then that is the way to go.
    I often wonder if the latest (and usually more expensive) products actually perform better than older established product lines. Sometimes the application of the newer products can be tricky and this test is a reminder to not overlook older generations.
    Good work and good luck with your channel.

      It was always thought that a paste was stronger than the liquid version.
      Turtle Wax Ice back in the late 2000's, the paste was said to last longer than the liquid by the company, and it did!
      But look at the consistency of a ceramic coating vs a paste wax. Then look at the difference in performance.

    The ultimate quik wax is so easy to use, I still use it in the age of ceramic / graphene infused wizardry. (I'm lazy - I just use it as a drying aid on my daily driver after the monthly wash).

    Very good review, moreover I love these products! 👍. I don't know if you have the old versions, but it would have been very interesting to do a duel old vs new!! And see the difference in hydrophobicity, chemical resistance, ease of use and visual appearance

    I have the version just previous to this and I still think it's a great product. Really slick too.
    I'm also still a fan of M21 2.0 Synthetic Sealant / NXT 2.0
    I've liked using Meguiar's products since 1996, way back before we had so many great alternatives.
    I used M20 Polymer Sealant and M26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax back then. They recently quit making M20 though.
    Edit:
    Ok. I have a new respect for ULW here. Did a great job!

    I have not watched the video all the way through yet.. but, in the past I have used this paste wax and have been pretty happy with it. I misplaced what I had left somehow, and just purchased another can. It was $15 on sale at autozone.

    As far as inexpensive waxes, I have found the Turtle Wax Seal 'N Shine and TW Ice Spray Wax are a great combination. I have used the Megs liquid wax and have no complaints, but less durability than most ceramic or graphene spray waxes. Thank you for your testings...

      Ya man, Seal&Shine with ICE topper is pretty amazing. It's a go-to base offering to clients. Ease of application, shine/gloss and durability are tops. And...not to mention bang for the buck - cost per application is soooo affordable!

    I live in Brazil and here I have access to Vonixx products. Blend Paste costs 1/3 the price of Meguiars ultimate paste. Do you think Meguiars is worth the investment, or will I be fine with the combo + blend + blend spray.

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  2 года назад +1

      A video I recently did I had Vonixx Blend and Meguiars Ultimate on the same panel. They did about equally as well. I know Meguiars costs a lot of money outside of the US, so if Vonixx is cheaper, I would stuck with that, they are very good. Meguiars is not expensive here in the US and is cheaper than Vonixx. 8 ounces of Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax is $30 USD and 4 ounces of Vonixx Blend Paste Wax is $40 USD.

      @@BelLavoroAutoSpa thank you very much friend. It was exactly because I saw that you reviewed the vonixx waxes that I decided to clear up your doubts and queries. anyway, we know that bench tests do not reflect the real life of a car that is exposed to the sun. Could synthetic polymers do better than a carnauba based wax in this case?

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  2 года назад +2

      @@daniell5751 In most cases yes, synthetic polymers will outlast carnuaba waxes, and then above them both are ceramic products. Vonixx products seem to do very well. Their native paste wax is very good, blend even more so, and their sio2 spray is even more durable. I am glad Vonixx is sold in the US, they deserve more recognition for their excellent products.

    Great video, i have a bottle of liquid wax, haven't used it yet, but i will test it on one of my cars (on my daily to be exact) but i won't buy it ever again, it's just that here in Europe it costs around 50 bucks wich is unforgivable, we have sooo much great products for half of the price and even less, for this price i can buy a decent ceramic coating...

    Didn’t hear it mentioned here but could have just missed it… worth noting that none of these 3 products actually contain a wax as they’re all fully synthetic. Personally I prefer the gold class liquid wax which is a hybrid.
