Perfect video I have the ultimate but haven't opened it as yet because the ease of use of these new products are insane!
Yes it sounds so counter intuitive to just give 2 sprays on the panel and that's it!
Very detailed and informative. Excellent job.
Amazing review!! ❤🔥
Thanks for this video! Enjoyed the comparison
Glad you enjoyed it!
Waxing the vehicle is always so important. Thanks for the help
You bet!
Really well-done review,,, I've used the Meguiars for years. it's my favorite wax product that I go back to again and again... I did buy the TW kit in December..Haven't tried it yet it's too cold here in Chicago. The one item I would add to your flex wax was review, is after you put on the base coat the other wet applications can be used as a great drying aid. Prevent scratching while drying and add a little more protection. Your video and presentation skills are top-notch.. I just subscribed and am looking forward to old and new content
Barry, glad to have you aboard and hope to provide you with lots of great content
Same here. Been using Meguiars for close to 20 years, all the compounds, polishes and waxes. Now after watching a lot of RUclips reviews of TW pro products Including this one with graphene I’m definitely going to be testing it out.
Great tips, can’t wait to pick this up!
You should!
Thanks Jeff for information and videos 📹, I appreciate you
My pleasure!
Thank you so much for the video, it helped me a lot!!! Best wishes you'll ✌
Glad to hear that!
Nice review Jeff
Thanks 👍 Ted, for joining us over on this channel also!
Great job in the explaining
Glad you liked it
Thanks for posting this video. What I noticed most about your comparison is that while both products delivered similar results, Meguiars Ultimate wax is easier and less time consuming to apply on a dry surface (my preference). Meguiars - apply wax, wipe off. Turtle wax - spray, apply over panel, damp towel, then buff off with dry towel. That said, I think the Turtle Wax products might have an edge with durability over time so the up front investment might be worth the added step(s). Thanks again.
Great point! They claim 12+ months lifespan
Please note: Thank you for your videos!
Thanks, glad you like them
You help many people to buy new and used cars, but forgetting safety always comes first. I have been to countless safety courses and epoxy in the auto industry. And usually the professionals who work with these poly, nano etc industry products have come into everyone's hands. They are definitely good products no doubt about this ..
Great video!! Very informative. I just bought the turtle wax graphene infuse flex wax and i think i made a good choice....I've been using the rainex waterless carwash and rain repellent but i noticed that it always left streaks . What do you think about the rainex compared to the graphene infuse flex wax?
We have no info on Rainex and never used it. the Turtle Wax Graphene doe snot streak, just make sure you don't put on too much
Jeff can’t wait spring season to do detailing of my car, thanks Jeff 👍
do it in the garage now!
Great Job! I enjoy watching your content.
Glad you enjoy it Ivan!
Awesome product tried it very good
Yes, we are going to experiment on more cars with it.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
I’m really impressed by the new Turtle Wax stuff and I still like 3M
Yes the Graphene wax really has staying power
love it!
It's a good wax
the camera you’re using is great👍🏼
Thanks, we spent a lot of money on the equipment!
As soon as the video started I was like “😳”. Super clear👍🏻
what camera and lens you are using here?
@@MontereyBayLounge Nikon Z6 with the high end $600 50mm f1.8 lens. It's the f1.8 that gives you that awesome "boceh" effect with the background blown out of focus and razor sharp focus on the subject in the foreground.
I can’t wait for some decent weather I’m more interested in the turtle wax product
Hopefully soon!
I just used the graphene Flex wax after doing the recommended prep with iron remover, clay bar, wax, then prep spray then graphene Flex wax.
My finish literally looks like liquid glass and will remain bonded to my paint with easy Flex wax maintenance procedures.
If you look online for chemical and wear tests you'll find the turtle Wax graphene far surpasses everything else
Please note: TW Hybrid Ceramic Polish/Wax and or Ceramic Spray can be used in direct sunlight as well, but shade is preferred.
That's what we did with it in the second par of the video
Can you apply TW One & Done by hand or must you use a DA polisher?
Hello did you just use any type of applicator pad to remove those scratches 12:10
Great video! Was the truck in an accident near the right back door? Lol
No accident
I recently purchased Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax (haven't used it yet). I have a 2022 Hyundai Kona, I bought new last year. Can I use this product on the car's exterior black plastic trim to keep it from fading?
Hello from Ukraine. Just subscribe and push like Botton on several your video. Your review looking rather film from Hollywood than RUclips video))) Appreciate if you can tell me which camera and lens are you using? Quality incredible!!!
We use a Nikon Z6 camera but what really gives us that awesome cinematic look is the 50 mm f1.8 lens. We use a lot of those close up shots with the aperture set to F 1.8 which really blows the background out of focus (known as boceh) and gives you sharp focus on the subject for that cinematic look. It's very difficult to attain this level of quality like that with other lenses that have F stops of f 2.8 or f3.5 or f4
What a handsome man ! Thank you
You are so kind
I wish I had that much patience to take the time to do my car like that
Once you do this one time, all you need is maintenance washes after that
Great video... Remember to refrain from wearing gloves and inhale it more than usual. It is very ecologically safe .. Safety always comes last ... as long as it shines you forget all about health and the environment :-)
I got the kit from tw I have done a few cars with it so far I really like it . However I’m not so sure it’s and Better than the tw ceramic spray or the tw ceramic polish wax . But nevertheless there both great products
We liked how the ! and Done polish also removed swirls on the plastic
Please note: "Nooks & Crannies" I always use a soft tooth brush to remove polishes & waxes, that's why they call it detailing.
correct
I use the turtle wax flex was and I must warn you guys. Do not use it every wash. In any way. It will build up and won't look good. But it works great. Only downside is that it attracts dust
Hi, where did you get your hose pipe foam cannon from?
Thanks😄
sorry just came across your message today while catching up, our soap gun is not a soap cannon, Autogeek Quart Foamaster Foam Gun amzn.to/3qlyhdZ
You can also get one at Harbor Freight for less than $20
Can you please respond with a step my step process for using turtle wax product. Is the clay towel by turtle wax? Does it matter what brand ?
clay mitt is not from Turtle wax. Instructions are on the bottle and we show yo in the video how to apply
One thing to take into account, most people do not know is any of the ceramic compounds, polishes and topers on the market recommend that you throw out any towels or pads that you used with the application or removal of their products. The reason for this is so you do not scratch the paint when reusing them. The ceramic that is left on the towels and pads hardens on the fibers of the towels or pads and can scratch the paint. However the graphene products that turtle wax make will wash out of the pads and towels making them reusable and do not need to be thrown out if cleaned right after application. I think that is worth mentioning. When the vehicle is wet just use the leaf blower and dry the vehicle off in less than a minute, no buffing needed.
Good points Bruce, we'll add this in our next video we are working on a shortened video of the Graphene.
it also washes out in the laundry.... they want you to buy towels
Please note: It looks like it's going to come downs longevity? How long the product lasts? Since Megs has been around awhile, we know the longevity, 6 months or so? But we don't know the longevity of the TW products? 1 year? And of course depends on where you live, winter conditions, proper maintenance, proper preparation, etc.
On Turtle Wax's web site when people ask questions about it they were saying 12 months plus.
Which product were you using for the B pillars?
We used the 🛒 Turtle Wax 53478 Hybrid Solutions Pro 1 and Done Compound Correct and Finish, 16 oz.: amzn.to/3nMVWlG
15:38 Tall guy to the rescue LOL :)
I did not have my ladder platform with me that day
Jeff do you give aways with this channel like your tool channel??
Not yet
Please note; I would not use a California squeezy, only microfiber drying towel or forced air. Squeezy could promote scratching?
California Dry Blade Squeegee is perfectly safe, because by time you are rinsing the car, it has already been decontaminated, and washed and any dangerous particle are long gone. The soft rubbery gel-like blade is no more dangerous than a microfiber cloth at his point, because there is nothing to swirl around.
Curious Jeff, how long did all this take you???
We filmed this over 2 days, but then it was another 2 days of editing the video
@@carbuying well it sure looks good!!!
Please note" the edgeless microfiber towels from The Rag Company may leave a layer of lint?
How would an edgeless towel leave more lint than a towel that has been sown along the perimeter? Makes no sense.
You can use soap suds with a clay mit? No dedicated spray lube 🤨
That is correct, this mitt simulates the clay, it is an awesome tool, a requirement for any serious car detailer
I can see the hologram from the polishing unfortunately in that front fender. Having to polish 5 cars a day i notice other peoples flaws.
I suggest Black Pearl For the Tires. It blows Endurance away. Black Pearl lasts over 6 months through an Ohio winter.
Are you talking about P& S Renny Doyle Double Black Shine All Performance Dressing? there's a lot of dressings with the name Black in it. Sounds like a great video challenge for us to work on!
@@carbuying It's called Black Pearl Trim and Tire Armor. The company is in Miamisburgh, Ohio. The product will last at least 6 months on tires if applied properly. It's not bs. It actually does. I got the telephone number off their facebook page. 513-206-2105 It pricy but it makes tires look amazing and last a long long time. I've used this product for over 2 years now and love it. I learned about from Apex Detail on RUclips.
@@rogerbaron9514 Any browning?? I use only 303. No complaints
@@Gearhead-en8dz None what so ever. It's a great product.
Man I wish I could buy a new truck. My 04 f150 is a old lol. It still has a Tape player in it 😅😅😅
Tape player! That is old! We just traded in our 2004 Lexus GX470
So many questionsn
What questions do you have
The yellow pad is a heavy-medium cut pad. if you just wanted to polish you should of used the black pad. Minor correction + polish you should of used the orange pad... if you want heavy cut, you would of used the micro fiber buff n shine pad.... you can typically tell the difference in the pads by the stiffness of density. The yellow pad is clearly stiffer than the orange pad.
If you really wanted to see if you got the scratches out vs just filled them, you should of gone back over the surface with an IPA. it would of been good validation to capture for all the viewers to see. but considering you used the heavy-medium cut pad, its not surprising you got the scratch out. But without a better shot of the area with a swirl finder or bright LED light, we have no way of knowing if you corrected the area or caused more harm.
Considering the mineral deposits left on the car, you need to do a better job of cleaning before you polish and is clear evidence of why you should not be a using water blade.
Jeremy maybe you could tell us at what timestamp you saw this alleged deposit of water stains. We washed the car once fully, and then we applied the Meguiar’s decontamination and then after that step we washed the car a second time using the clay glove to eliminate any minor grit that we have found. By time we were done we could not even feel any grit at all on the paint it was perfectly clear. Also, your assessment of the water blade is incorrect; the whole purpose of the water blade and the design of that tool is to remove as much water as possible off of the paint so that there are no deposits left behind. And then you just get any remainder with the large honeycomb microfiber towel but that truck was absolutely perfectly clean when we were done with it.
@@carbuying maybe the water stains at 12:00?
I’m surprised nobody ever mentions this….maybe it’s an old school secret, but the absolute best far removed you will ever find is actually “skin so soft”. It’s cheap, gentle and provides a faster, easier removal than anything else. Try it out and have your mind blown.
Both appear to be great products. I sure can't tell a difference
Only time will tell. We'll revisit it 3 months down the road.
One wash or runoff test doesn't settle this argument. The graphene holds up much better through multiple washes and chemical tests
Of course it doesn't prove anything that's why we said in the video we're going to show you videos a few months down the road after we've run it through a car washes a few times and see how well it does in the hot South Florida sun
👍
Thanks Jose!
Great product especially for the price but you gonna have to do all the prep before applying something that's gonna only last about six months so why don't just do a ceramic coating and you're protected for years cuz the prep is the hardest and most time consuming in the whole process
Squeegees are a big no, I learned that in my time working a Ford dealer back in college. The squeegee can pick up dirt and sand and run it along the paint of a clean car and leave nice, long scratches. I saw it happen many times.
Squeegees are perfect If you use the correct type of water blade like we use not the old school hard blades you used years ago. These new blades are made from medical-grade silicone which is flexible and guaranteed not to scratch your car's paint or windows. In fact, they have 10 times less friction than microfiber and Terry cloth towels believe it or not. Also, the way you guys wash cars at dealerships is not the way to wash cars anyway, so you're starting off doing it wrong and then blaming the tool you use in the wipe-off stage. At dealerships, you just drive the car through the car wash but that's not a thorough deep cleaning. We do a thorough deep cleaning by using Iron decontamination, washing it once with soap and water using a conservative two bucket method, and then washing it again with soap and clean clay wash Mitt which deep cleans and removes all of the dirt that might be embedded into the paint. Then when you are done with this your car should be squeaky clean enough to be water blade squeegee safe. If you're scratching cars with dirt then one would ask how was the dirt still on there and why is the car not clean? You can't blame the squeegee.
@@carbuying The way we used to wash cars at a dealer and the way I wash cars myself are VERY different but thanks for assuming I’m just ignorant. I never claimed the squeegee itself does the scratching and you actually inadvertently proved my point. Silicon is very soft and does a GREAT job of picking up dirt and other debris that you don’t even realize and then you use it on the paint. The dirt comes from how the squeegee is stored/cleaned, etc. This is the same misconception about microfiber towels - the towel itself doesn’t scratch but what gets caught in it from the surrounding environment most definitely will. It’s nearly impossible to keep them 100% free of dirt. I have talked to many car owners and detailers over the years and not a single one uses or recommends a squeegee in their cleaning process. Air dry is the only way to go for a truly scratch free drying process and there’s no disputing that.
The Meguliar's Ultimate Wax only last 3 months if you wash your vehicle once a week. The roof and hood lose beading 1st. I've been using it for years.
Wonder how a sealer coat would do, or add a Meguiars ceramic coating as a maintenance coat. Those types of waxes are very resilient to car wash soap.
@@carbuying I haven't found many waxes to last beyond 12ish weeks up in this Northeastern weather. The cold and hot temperatures, rain, snow, and salt destroy regular wax fast. Ultimate Liquid does well but stops working on the roof and hood after 12 weeks. I guess I could use a sealer on top but why should I? A wax should be tough and last. I do have some toppers I could use like Seal and Shine, Bead Master, and Spray Waxs. The current top product I found are Turtle Wax Seal and Shine or the Hybrid Ceramic Wax. I'm currently using TW Hybrid Ceramic Wax and it's going strong 15 weeks in. I bought a bottle of the TW Graphene Wax and plan to try them next. Thus stuff is expensive at $30~ a bottle...
TW, sio2 ca04 rinse und repeat
We really like this graphene
Please note: Most Synthetic polishes & waxes will not leave a white residue on black plastics.
Right as long as they don't go on white
Hola Jeff
Howdy!
Hi Jeff, I have been trying to contact you for a while now. I have just sent an email to you as well. I was referred to you by Tommy, previously with CarWoo, had great things to say about you. Can we plan to talk for 20 minutes. I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.
Jeff that's your old driveway!!!
before the big makeover
You did not talk about scratching
Citrol 266 is best tar and bug remover by far lol
But it also removes wax and polish
❤🚙
I suspect that your "two sprays per panel" are too frugal and they should be bigger sprays especially with panels of that size
No, they are quite specific about it. If you put more, it causes streaking
@@carbuying how big is a "spray" though? Others are interpreting that instruction in a far less niggardly manner. It stands to reason that it should depend on the size of the panel. Eg like it would if a "spray" was a line stretching the width of the panel. The zero-dimensional dots being applied here clearly do not scale like that.
"Superior Cover All" for ur tires and never look back!
we still prefer Meguiars Endurance
Please note: The TW 1 & Done Compound is not a polish, contains no protection, just correction.
You are wrong, this is a polish, they call it a polishing compound, depending on which pads you use determines if the platelets are activated. The y even say on their web site "Eliminate deep scratches and swirl marks while adding a wet, reflective polish to any clear coat. Simply swap your cutting pad to use this as a heavy-duty compound or a light polish."
"
@@carbuying According to other professionals, the one & done is correction only, no protection. See Brian from Apex Car Detailing videos on TW Graphene.
@@hartlanddetailer5670 It is a polish, its not a protectant. You seem to think polish means protectant it does not mean that. Polish = correction , polish doesnt = protectant
Ur doing it wrong after you buff it in use a damp microfiber towel water activates
Maintenance ?? Real Graphene products Don’t Need maintenance !! 303 Graphene can be applied in broad daylight and removed easily.
All products start off 100% on day one and degrade from there. Graphene should last at least 1 year, but you can bet after 3 months it is likely 25% degraded, so maintenance coats are the way to go.
Turtle Wax is becoming Chemical Guys
Yes, they are raising the bar all the time now
@@carbuying yeah - raising the bar - LOL
Ultimate wax is old technology. Def more than 5 year old formula. Turtle wax is brand new technology. Nor fare
You saw after application we could not tell the difference. There isn't anything that is unfair about this comparison. What we don't know yet is how will each wax still repel water after 3 months and 6 months, or going through a car wash.
Never start washing with the mit when your vehicle is soaked with the first snow foam layer. You are just rubbing in the dirty snow foam. Always let the foam dwell first to lift as much dirt as possible and then rinse it off. Then you start washing with your soapy mit. It’s a rookie mistake many amateurs make.
So you think you're better than Pan The Organizer who never shows this method? If you maintain your washes regularly, you won't need to rinse off the foam and then wash.
@@carbuying You’re wrong. I never said I’m better than anyone. If you are arguing that washing the car with the first snow foam layer that has lifted all the dirt in suspension won’t cause swirls, then you have no business washing poor unsuspecting clients cars. And if Pan (whoever that is) rubs the first dirty snow foam layer into the paint then he has no business washing peoples cars either. Just stop being cheap and lazy and rinse off the first dirty layer before starting the wash process. Yes, it will cost you a little extra money in soap and your time, but your clients will appreciate it.
@@carbuying I just watched Pan the Organizer wash a VW Golf he just posted. He degreased the paint, snow foamed it, let it dwell the dirt off then rinsed off the snow foam. Then he started to wash the car. That is the proper procedure. If you notice in his video, all the snow foam that is running off the car is filthy. And you would of rubbed that dirty soap into the paint.
@@BW-kv9wj Yes he did on a worst case mud soaked car. He does not always show that step. Also, remember he is using real high pressure snow foam which clings like shaving cream. We used watery soap foam from a soap gun, not from a soap cannon like him, so ours ran down the paint already as you saw. But you bring a good suggestion to pre-wash and rinse the car the car first. We will be incorporating more videos later on with pressure washers, and that's a good tool to rinse it down with before wash mit time.
@@carbuying Sounds good.
