    This guy is spot on. While some cars ceramic works well on, i prefer the TW graphene products and apply them a little more regularly including the spray. The paste Graphene wax by TW is some of the best wax I’ve ever used, and the spray is a way to maintain between paste or liquid applications. Sometimes using a liquid is easier to apply and take off, so this liquid is a great option, especially on larger vehicles like trucks, where a paste can be time consuming and tiring. The value for dollar on TW products is very good, I’m impressed with all the great stuff they’ve come out with in recent years, they are on fire 🔥

    Having a full system that’s fairly defined for the amateur is such a good idea. As soon as I buy something people like gyeon or carpro bring out another version for a slightly different use. Compounding especially is a learning curve. Most people are not going through vast quantities as their doing their own car. So the higher price for simplicity is a good area to define for them.

      Also, if you only buff the liquid wax with a dry cloth I find there is a bit of grabbiness or drag. The panel beaded water beautifully the next day, but the drops just would not slide off. But using a damp cloth first, followed by a dry cloth reduces the drag when buffing AND the beads glide off much quicker. I did panels both ways. I highly recommend using a damp microfiber. Brian from Apex suggested this as well.

Case in point is that TW formulates it in this newest offering - MAX as well as their Hybrid Ceramic Spray AND the Seal & Shine. All 3 of these products are at the top of the detailing industry game.

    Just picked up bottles for $10 AUD, reduced for black friday sales from $59 AUD. Was sceptical about it, gave it a try worked well on a lancer at work, promptly returned to store and bought a few more bottles, will use them on cars at work (car yard). Ease of use and shine is crucial,, easy on easy off, in direct sun (yeah i know) but we dont have a shaded area anywhere on site. Shine for cheap, always welcomed. Cars get washed more often than most people wash their car, keep them looking good for the tyre kickers and low ballers.

    The "Benny Hill" of detailing. You always do an entertaining way of explaining things. I've used the product. It has more gloss and slickness than other products such as C2V3 or Reload. Can't speak to durability yet. I ran out of those and tried the Max and Flex to use over our G-Tecqnic CSL coated cars. The coating has lasted 3 years so far thanks to maintaining them periodically with spray sealants. The Max and Flex both have greater gloss and slickness but they've only been on the cars a couple weeks.The Max has more gloss and the Flex is faster and easier as you pointed out. None of this products can do what coatings do but these products make great sacrificial layers to give coating more longevity. I blow dry my cars after washing with a Metro Dry Vac and the added slickness makes the task easier.

    TW Graphene spray is 26 dollars in the US (£18.68 at today’s rate) and 30 quid in the UK. They can keep it until they implement the current exchange rate the right way around. The one and done is 22 dollars (even worse £15.80 there and £30 here) and the to the max wax is 29 dollars (£20.83 again, £30 here). It is robbery no matter how good it is.

    • @kevtheargonut
      @kevtheargonut 3 года назад +1

      @@fanfeck2844 Maybe they will say that, but it hasn’t caused anything like the same inflated pricing impact on the ceramic range which I assume ships from the same production centre.
      TW U.K. charge £3.99 delivery on orders under £30 compared to free shipping in the US. Charging £30 does eradicate that delivery charge for a single bottle I guess, but if you bought more than one product it is debatable if that is such an advantage to the consumer any more if that is their reasoning. Simple profiteering on the U.K. market by the look of it, and that may be the U.K. arm / distributor pushing their luck rather than TW USA.
      Of course, TW USA does not ship internationally, so the only protest option is not to buy it at all in the U.K., which is the option I am taking.

      I changed my icon just to show my support for everything TW has done for us. 1 & Done has literally replaced Everything on my shelf. I did 3 paint restorations last week. On Monday a Black Volvo, oxidation, swirls etc. Took about 10 hours, using Lake Country Yellow foam flat pad, then Green and finally the Black pad for the finsh. Wednesday was a newer black Camry with that beautiful black metallic with flakes of blue and green. I started with the orange and finished with the Blue pad. That was about half the time of the other. Then Thursday was a 15 year old Chevy Silverado 🛻 pickup truck in red, a lot of work, three pads 12 hours. Normally I would have used 4 different compounds from my favorite company and the same 5 pads. Two months ago when I tried 1 & Done I knew it would replace everything else because it cut as well as anything, and it finished so well with exceptional clarity. But the best part was that in addition to all that capability, I was able to save so much time and effort by not having to wipe off after each section to determine when to change to another pad and compound; why, because TW is pad dependent, I never had to change compounds, just pads and keep on going. I knew from my test section how much effort would be required before I changed pads. I tried that technique out in December when I tested a few panels. Once I got the combination of pads to give me what I wanted, I would just watch through the compound because you can see right through it. Also you use less product than you would of expected. It saves so much time and effort.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  3 года назад +6

      this is a classic question ragu. 1&done is a pure paint correction tool. You use it when the paintwork needs swirls removing or gloss adding. So you have to wash down and inspect the paintwork of any car and decide if paint correction is required and appropriate. I cant generalise at all or else I can be in the situation where Im telling people they need to correct the paintwork of cars with amazing condition paintwork.

    • @jdisdetermined
      @jdisdetermined 3 года назад +1

      The cool thing about 1 & Done is it can do it all. If you just want to deep clean and exfoliate a well kept vehicle, throw on a soft polishing pad or even an application pad.
      Have a few swirls or some etching in a spot or two? Swap to a more aggressive pad and clean up the area, swap back to your soft pad and keep going, finishing it flawlessly. No dust, no fillers, steady even cut throughout an incredibly long cycle time. Plus it smells incredible.
      The *only* thing I dislike about it is the wipe off. It can be a bit grabby and tacky, and a chore to remove in certain situations, but an initial damp towel before a dry one solves that. Still a great product, professional result capability that's easy to work with and versatile enough to do it all for a DIY enthusiast.

    I have recently purchased a new Ford Fiesta st 3 from a Ford main dealer. As part of the deal they put a paint protection product on the car called Supagard. Looking on RUclips the only info i can get about the product is from companies that are trying to sell it. I can't find any good reviews about the company at all. Is it a product you have heard of John and is it in your opinion any good. The dealer claim good things about the product but then he would would'nt he

      use 20 deg gloss when measuring gloss of more than 70 GU which is most car paintworks. 30-70 GU 60 deg is better.

    Hey John !
    Could you please kindly confirm that TW Ceramic spray does not fill ?
    I was gonna use it instead of Fuso coat 12 m for detailing outside under direct sunlight but now realized that it does not fill.
    Should I then use Graphene Max wax ?
    I mean can it be applied in direct sunlight please ?
    I have no choice but to detail outside under direct sunlight for now
    Also what is coldest and hottest temperature can TW Ceramic spray or TW Graphene max wax can be applied in please?
    Lastly I know it is wrong concept but still.
    If I apply 2 coats of TW ceramic spray, or 2 coats of TW Graphene on top of heavy Glaze as for example Poor's boys Glaze how much of durability would I get on daily driver seating outside ?
    Many of my clients prefer to keep they clear coat virgin and not having to risk ....so that's where I got this silly idea from.
    Your advice would be simply life saving.
    Thank you very much in advance John

      all products will fill a bit but I find spray waxes tend to fill a bit less. when you work a liquid wax on a machine you seen to get a lot of improvement and better clarity. So I think fusso or to the max wax are examples of base products. Ceramic sprays are more versitile toppers. All those layers. glaze plus 2 coats of ceramic spray or 2 coats of flex wax. thats overkill mate. one of the other I would recomend.

    Hi John, sorry you said one of my biggest pet peeves as a Chemical Engineer: Organic chemicals & Inorganic chemicals has nothing to do with whether they're man made or not.
    Organic chemicals always contain carbon, such as hydrocarbons.
    Inorganic chemicals are chemicals that don't necessarily contain carbon, such as NaCl, or Salt.
    Both organic and inorganic chemicals exist naturally. It's a chemical definition, not a "man made" vs "non-man made".

    • @ForensicDetailing

    So every new Turtle Wax video by detailers is a "Paid Promotion" and by a miracle the Detailer loves this junk more then God.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  3 года назад +4

      I would suggest only a tiny portion of it is payed promotion they simply send it out to anyone that wants to review it because it will generate interest and sales. With my channel the video is marked as payed promotion at the start so people that dont want to watch payed for promotion can skip the video. Thats done because I appreciate your view point. But ultimately go and do you tube for 5 years making no money and turning down all forms of promotion while getting told your content was sponsored anyway. walk that road for 5 years then come back and critise because believe it or not I have to be profitable or there is no channel and you tube is not a compulsory viewing platform is it.

      I used a panel-wipe product to remove the residue from the black plastic trim. It was still quicker than taping. I wish Turtle Wax had their own panel wipe, but any will do. Dupli-Color, etc. On the next vehicle, I went ahead and treated all the black plastic trim before compounding, and it just wiped right off with a micro-fiber.
