I really enjoy watching your videos Simon, you are really blessed to be able to walk and protect our beautiful countryside. You must get times where you contemplate on how lucky you are to be able to spend quality time shooting and observing your surroundings, it must give you a great sense of purpose and feel so humbled that you can share your passion with viewers who share your passion for the great outdoors and our fantastic wildlife we have and of course protecting the farmers lambs and ground nesting birds. Keep up the great work my friend your doing a great job 👍
Cheers pal ye i do to be fair, when i sit back and look where i can now go its a brilliant feeling as i started off shooting on a small farm and then word of mouth got around and years down the line i now go on thousands of acres of moorlands and farmland.
Top notch marksmanship as always. I've never shot a gun to hunt in my life but I enjoy your videos. Educational, interesting and you clearly have respect for your quarry. All the best.
My first viewing your video. I'm in USA. Used to live on island 26 miles long, fly in out, was hunting guide, had thousands sheep, hated to see protected crow black birds sit on backs of live sheep and eat their eyes out ...very defenseless animals. I'm glad you are able to save sheep. From Jo in Idaho
Excellent work Simon you are doing a grand job mate, I was called last night by a farmer who had seen 2 foxes in his field with lambs in near his house a 6pm , went over tonight and saw nothing will try tomorrow night.
Great video Simon and excellent marksmanship on the 2 Foxes . Interesting how they were fighting I wonder over what? Thank you for protecting the lambs and the nesting birds. Cheers Simon
Hi Simon, you are in every way, a first class professional who is always 100% certain of choosing a safe shooting location. You know from substantial personal experience, the capabilities or your rifle and maximize the use of its fine accuracy within the range of its shooting envelope. I salute you ! ! ! Dave in USA
“ pure class “ I suffer with depression I’m not looking for sympathy but Simon when I can’t get out of bed your videos take me away for a while… so i want to say not only are you doing a great thing for wildlife but also for mental health. I’ll look forward to the next footage. Fantastic.👍🏼
Thank you Simon I got refused a FAC because of my medical record ( depression ) but actually walking the fields on my uncles farm is so good for me! I just hope we’ll never need a license for sub 12 because that’s all I can own…
Each new episode keeps me glued to the tv. Even tho I know almost exactly what's going to happen each feels like a new adventure. Can't tell you how much I enjoy spending time with a true sportsman and conservationist. I feel for your loss and I hope that if and when a new Jack comes along you will include us in his training.
Great job Simon, love your videos and so sorry to hear about Jack. Lost my cocker last year so I know how you feel. 6 PPC is a great accurate round. I used to use a Sako 75 in 243 on the foxes. Very accurate gun. Back on 223 now as most of my work is at close range. HW35E is a classic , don't use springers much now, trying to wrestle a Feinwerkbau sport off my mate !!!! Keep safe
Well done and thank you for posting. At least those Vixens will not be adding the Fox population and the Rare-species Ground-nesting Birds have a better chance of survival.
Good result Simon and good shooting as always. I have had a few barren vixens this year. Lots of reports from all over about them. Be interesting to see if it stays this way next year too.
Enjoyed your video Simon, well done. The 6PPC is a superbly accurate round. Have you ever shot H-322 in it? Great powder for the 6 PPC…Keep up the good work.

Lol... out myself last night with the .243, (soon to be a 6.5 creedmoor), and saw nowt for 3 hrs (good view out for 400 yards and about 200 sheep and lambs). Packed up and made my way back, only to have one jog past me 😂 ... I sware I should just pack the thermal away once I've done for the night.
I there Simon? Tell me about the assiistant in char, since I have not seen videos from you for sometime now. You I know, are in good health as always, and I hope you keep doing good. 😎😎👍👍
great stuff Simon, i wonder if the two vixens were mother and cub from previous year, not tolerating each other anymore....... dunno, ....i gave up trying to second guess foxes a few years back now 🙄
@@simon6ppc246 your welcome, I used to do rabbits and foxes (at close range). Equestrian properties, using 12ft lbs air rifles, I knew what lethality I was capable of within the limitations I imposed on myself, but going FAC didn't justify something that didn't earn me an income. My most recent experience involved large fields, that involved inviting rabbits to come a little close, an invitation declined.
