Another brilliant vid, Simon - what a down-to-earth treasure you are to those of us lucky enough to live in the country and follow your shooting exploits. I'm a good way south and east of you, and there are no hills, rolling or otherwise - just flat land to the horizon and endless East winds. Plenty of magpies and jays this time of year, and although I don't shoot them, I know a few who do with great success.
Ye cheers pal i have spent my life on these hills and when ever i go else where i always notice how flat the ground is and deep down i always think not much of a bullet stop lol.
Flat calm helps but still its hellish impressive. I'm not sure why people bother with the .22LR these days when you can see the versatility of FAC airguns.
Hi Simon, I know your side of the Pennines is wetter than ours, but here, at the East Coast, statistically, I think, the driest part of the country, we've had our share. Nice to see a magpie or two go down. They've already attacked my neighbour's blackbird nest. Anyway, yesterday evening, the pair is now one. Like your first, it flew off about 7 or 8 yds, then dropped. Good vid, thanks. Big Steve.
@@simon6ppc246 Meant to mention, Simon, have you seen RJM Hunting Australia's shot using a SAKO .223 with Hickmicro Balistic Calculator? 477metres with a 97.7cm drop, nearly a meter. Just shows what techknowledgy is capable of.

Great video Simon and I'd say that you have all of the comfort of home in that spot.
