At school boy level in South Africa, there is dope testing. At schoolboy level in Ireland, there is no dope testing…….which country takes it seriously??
There's dope testing in South Africa for schoolboys because of the enormous problem that caused the testing to be necessary. There is no such widespread culture of use in Ireland (and if they make underage representative teams in Ireland, there is testing).

I'm a South African and have been 2 Ireland and I greatly admire your island/people and history. BUT, your rugby punditry really for the most part terrible AF! Even the hated English press gives a more holistic view on Springnoks even when its a contentious issue. But i suppose thats why Some nations like AUS, NZ, ENGLAND SPRINGBOKS and FRANCE-(been 2 finals twice) those non-chokers while IRELAND cant. Their rugby societies, even some salty-punditry understand that value of providing balanced views 2 inform and promote game and not like this BS show consistently vomiting anti-Springbok trash. I am a South African living in Dublin. I'd like to correct a comment in this video. The one that 'all South Africa wanted to do was beat Ireland'. Hello. All South Africa were concerned with, was winning the world cup!
Look…you cannot be at the top of a sport and not expect to be criticised, lied about or mocked! If you want to be the top dog expect to be cut down. The Springboks are the top dogs of rugby…look at the world rankings and look at the trophy cabinet. I would rather be criticised for being champions than be the losers who criticise the champions.

Ireland is certainly impressive given the population of Ireland, however South Africa has far more obstacles than Ireland will ever have. Every Irish fan says “at least we have electricity” yeah good one mate and yet without electricity 4 RWC vs a big fat zero. The doping conversation is a joke, South African school boy level and in pro competitions takes far more tests than that in Ireland. We just built different. Don’t be jealous. The struggles every South African goes through moulds these monster that destroy you.

Doping isn't the issue . . testing positive for illegal substances, now that's a problem. South Africa gets tested more than any other nation, which in by large is unfair.
You test positive, you get a 4 year ban.
If testing in Europe was the same as it is in the Southern hemisphere, some very interesting result would appear.

I don't believe doping is rampant in SA schools rugby in relation to the rest of the world, I don't get the point of bringing this up. Internationally, there is pressure to perform and become the best in the world, and I'm not going to be told that English and Irish schoolboys and professionals dope less "if they do at all 😉".
I've surrendered myself to the possibility that the best professional sportsmen in the world might all be doping to reach those levels of performance due to everyone's dedication to the sport, whether that is rugby or sprinting or ice skating. My observation of the scandals we've seen and the accusations globally of doping puts my mind at ease that in order for international sports to be competitive, either no one is doping or almost everyone is. There is no goodie two-shoes country in sports.

If you're going to pretend to be experts on rugby, at least know what you're talking about. The South Africans test their players for PEDs, from school up to national seniors, more than any other nation. The Irish have never tested a single schoolboy because Sport Ireland have no jurisdiction over under-18s competitions. The New Zealanders introduced testing for a year or two and then scrapped it because they claimed it wasn't necessary. If I were you, I wouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house.
Comply with WADA like every other major rugby nation and then we can talk.
@@FR-je9bw SA Rugby cannot pass, revise or amend national laws. The only entity that can is the South African executive, in this case represented by the South African minister of sports Zizi Kodwa. Kodwa and the ministry he leads were informed a year before the country became non-compliant that existing legislation needed to be updated. He did what everyone in the ANC does: bugger all. No one in SA Rugby can be blamed for that. They were, in fact, the first organisation to write to Kodwa to warn him of the consequences.

@davesmith826 Parliament has passed the law relating to WADA regs. last week. It couldn't be done previously because unlike many places in the world our Constitution values public participation, that had to be finalised first. Luckily that's done now, the NA passed the law and the NCOP has it now and will surely get it through before the end of April.

Be clear boys…you beat an SA team that had SEVEN changes to the side they started in the final. You beat their B team…by 5 points. Imagine Ireland dropped half their starting 15 and played the Boks or NZ? They’d lose by 50. SA just understood that it’s a long tournament and they need players fresh enough to make it to the final,not just to the quarters as Ireland like to do.
