Jean and Shimi have found a great replacement in Lood when Schalk is off playing golf or mountain biking somewhere. Lood has such amazing technical insights which the average rugby fan love to hear.
The fitness level of the boks is absolutely amazing. If one considers how much they ran, plays went across the field at full pace, yet I don't remember one bok being blown and gasping for air. It was an unbelievable team effort, well done to all involved.
Lood is pure class and a great addition to the team, bring him on until he gets back to playing (speedy recovery Lood!). One thing you didn't mention much was the protection of the ruck ball, players were piling in consistently keeping forward ball. We turned over so much ball this championship but this match we had numbers in the rucks. Keep it up boks!

Last week with 10 changes to the Bok squad, Argentina was able to break the defense fairly easily. This week, the '1st' team , showed them how things would have been in Argentina last week, had they have been there ~! Argentina played well in Nelspruit, but the Boks showed why they are world champions. I can't say number 1 , because Ireland gets that spot for staying at home !
BTW A shoutout to the sponsor “We Buy Cars”, absolutely love the ads, too funny and also many thanks for sponsoring the show and making it possible for all rugby fans and especially bok supporters to enjoy such fantastic postgame analysis 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 See you in November … 4 x 🏉🌍🏆 champions/ 5 x TRC champions

Hey guys, any reason why SPringboks don't play matches in Port Elizabeth these days, the EC is such an important hub for rugby...Rassie, Siya, Am, Makazole, Libbok all these guys from the EC.
Manie was great. But with Jayden understandably not kicking that well the kicking challenge is not actually solved. Pollack can't kick if he is not on the field. New Zealand are in this position as well with their fly half issues. Butch James had freedom to play because of Percy Montgomery. If we use Manie, we need a "Percy" for him. Who will that be?
Libbok has kicked before, his boot brought the Stormers the URC in crunch games. Rassie's confidence in him will make him push harder and overcome that mental block.
@@thegreytone he has a Bok kicking success rate of 63%. That's not good enough for a kicker. I'm not sure it's something he can get over. Beauden Barret didn't...

Great show, thanks. Lood is great in analysis. I thought the Boks were excellent but there was a 20 min spell when the concentration dropped off, something to work on
12:55 “the 1 thing is to take more time, let them prep and then adapt” thank you WR for speeding up the game 😉 now the opposition don’t get time to adapt 😂
You do know that a backline doesn't only attack , they have to defend as well. So who are your centers I presume Sacha and Moodie, that's the heart of your defense and they both haven't played there a lot at international level. You also gotta understand that Am and Kriel are only 30 and have massive experience at center. You also leave out Fassi and Grant Williams who have been superb this year .As a attacking backline I can agree with 80 percent of your selections. But defensively they will leak tries like a sieve.By the way Pollard is also only 30 .So this definitely won't be the backline for 2027 world cup, Rassie will keep as many experienced players that are still at the top of there game.
Hi Jean. Regarding your discussion of why it was not a penalty, try with scrumming them over the line. I thought I heard the referee say that in the scrum we kicked the ball forward, touching a player in-front. So I guess accidental off-side? Would like to hear your comments on that. Maybe on Boks Office. Great program. Thanks
He is using a TV plugged into a PC with VLC media player. No custom skips even. Very primitive, but all they need is a wireless mouse and keyboard combo for R299
Jeez how do you defend this wide to wide with siya and psdt out wide… drift on that and you get a massive man making huge meters, and if you don’t then you get your ankles broken by Kolbe or kurtlee…
Hendrikse had a very good game, he is not a world class goal kicker though, and he should not be judged on that. Just like Kolbe and Faf are not world class goal kickers. Whether people like it or not, the flyhalf traditionally takes kicks at goal, it is part of his job.
No Moerat no problem😂fair play to libbok but pollard also made amazing passes...solid defense and that counter ruck(oh and he can kick)...hendrikse is a starter not bomb squad and gees if de allende just passes more we would score more
Libbok removed any element of pressure so that it was virtually impossible for Pollard to look bad. Libbok is now the first choice flyhalf for the Boks.
Libbok has proven that he can ONLY perform when he has no pressure. Yes he can pass, but so does Pollard( in addition to having loads of BMT, he CAN kick and win WCUPS with his general play and defence). Pollard still the king and Libbok no more than 3rd choice.
@jamesbond8191 lol he had NO PRESSURE against France in the QF when we scored 3 tries in the 1st of and had a hand in 2 of them and converted them? He had "no pressure" against Scotland when he had a hand in both tries and made a spectacular try saving tackle? He had no pressure when he directed the Stormers to a URC championship especially in that semi final when he kicked a mammoth kick from the sideline to steal the game at the death? Wasn't he also the Top try scorer in the URC that season? Wasn't he top in the most try assists last season? I love how you Pollard fanboys skip over facts and stats to twist your own narrative..😂😂😂 Speaking of passing, did you see the horrible pass Pollard threw against 13 men with no pressure that Kwagga had ri through through hoops just to catch and desperately pop off to Fassi? Get real 😂😂
Is this new style the Boks not tiring out the players who play the full 80. Fassi for example was really good, but made an unusual number of errors in the 2nd half..
Mostert will be 36 in 2027...I highly doubt he'll be playing. Nortje is 26 and still has lots of time to improve and get better. Only way for him to get better, is get international caps. Lood will be 33, so he'll be eligible at least.
I don't mean to be the know it all American here, but Rugby shouldn't be like Soccer/Football and play the world cup every 4 years, it's a much more physical sport, and careers can be much shorter due to that physicality, I vote for World cups being played every two years so we can watch the magic of 2023 (My first year following Rugby World cup) more often, and watch the legends of the current Springboks in another world cup, because I am afraid many of the 30 something players might not be able to make it until 2027... Just a thought.. Go Springboks!!!
Player management is a big thing in rugby and you'll see the veterans getting replaced in the end of year tours. They won't do that if the RWC is every 2 years. The RWC will also be quite watered down and not as special. We also simply don't have the countries/cash to host the games to host the games every 2 years.
I hear what you are saying, but I would argue the following: if it is every 4 yrs there is more on the line for the players and therefore they give it their. Every single player in every team, because for most ther is no " oh well, I'll try again in two years" . The rarity of a world cup gives it its quality.
Kicking Sticks is our weakness and will always bite us in the big games if no world Class kicker plays . How about giving nahamba a go at 9 and letting him kick when manie plays … Sacha at 15

Even though he receives a lot of criticism people don't hate him, But they do Hate losing games that we should win. Even though you cant put the full blame on Mannie he has some blame when he misses kicks.
@@yeayou1221came here to say the same thing. Manie is a hell of a talent but cannot kick to save us. Questioning him being in the team over someone like Sacha (I know he’s injured) or Pollard is perfectly valid. Pollard might not be on the same level as Manie in his vision but Pollard is a complete 10. Until we have a kicker on the field at the same time as Manie and doesn’t cost us a position just to kick then we can stop. And it’s not “hate” to have these conversations. Ultimately we’re all wanting the best players to play.
If the most successful coach in South African history chooses Salmaan Moerat, then the least one should expect from the rest of us, is to watch with interest. And to try and learn what is being done. I suppose most people do that. Except those who have a need to publically display their shortcomings. All of these young men deserve our support.... Not only because they have very challenging careers, but also because they win in our name. If you don't feel this, you don't get it 😊
That's a silly comment, this whole team is chosen on Merit.Moerat had good form a while ago , but he was really poor in his last 2 games .In Argentina I don't think he took one clean lineout. No one is doubting Rassie. We have so much depth that players have to perform or get dropped
The skew scrum feeds (by the 9's) have been obvious for the last 10 years (at least) yet all the referees and administrators are quite happy with the status quo. The oppositions chances of hooking the ball in a fair contest are now zero. This changes the whole dynamic of the scrum as the 'non feed' team put all the efforts into pushing and disrupting the scrum - hence we have so many scrum resets. Just leads me to believe the administrators want the game to evolve towards a rugby league type scrum which would be a very sad development indeed.
Libbok is now our first choice flyhalf. Hendrikse, Willemse and Kolbe can kick to goal. I'm incredibly excited about the future with Libbok in that no.10 jersey!!
Libbok our 1st choice 10???? All he has proven is that he can ONLY perform when he has no pressure…he can pass well..and that is the whole of his game. Shaky on defence and he can’t kick. Pollard is tried and tested … has an abundance of BMT, can pass kick and defend. And he thrives under pressure. Sasha is growing into a better option than Libbok and he can handle pressure, can create openings and he CAN KICK !! LIBBOK should be no more than 3rd choice!,
Those three have been tested for two years and can’t kick sticks at a world Class rate . Manie is lekker but unless we play a world class kicker also we won’t win another word cup . If pollard had not have been brought into 2023 and 2019 we win nothing . Maybe Sacha at 15 as a kicker
Look at the difference when there's a southern hemisphere ref controlling the match ... running rugby is allowed to flourish. Advantage is played much better, fewer pedantic penalties, and an all together better spectator sport.
The best is that players THINKS about the next move Must a play ruck or run Look at Ox and you will see what i mean. In the past player just played tight move. Create the loos scrum
Guys I think it's time we give the ABs the same respect that the Breakdown show gives to the Boks they couldn't even say congratulations that's how sour they are,, so pls be the same!
@@joelporter000 This particular show analyzes the Boks play. The other show called Boks Office is broader in its input. This also a RUclips channel. So it would probably be fairer to compare the Breakdown with whatever Supersport dishes up on DStv.
It did not look good until we played against 14 and 13 men. First 20 of second half was very bad. We going to stuggle in europe in november playing like this.
Where do you think the ref got it wrong? I think the yellow where the guy slapped down the ball could have only been a penalty, but then again, Kolbe got a yellow for the exact same thing in the World Cup Final.
Moenie twak praat nie. As of September 2023, the Springboks and Ireland have played a total of 28 test matches since their first encounter in 1906. Matches Played: 28 Springboks Wins: 18 Ireland Wins: 10 Ireland zero world cups, Boks 🏆🏆🏆🏆. Recent two match series one all. Now look up confirmation bias, in your mirror, and blush.
I do recall the Boks beat them earlier this year. Oh, you must refer to the following match when the Boks lost by 1 point and the Irish reverted to thuggery, attempting to end some players careers. Irish is a great side but lets not get carried away.
Please don’t support the Springboks… Your world view is not welcome. True Springbok supporters are about inclusion hence the stronger together slogan. Lastly, that boer kicked us to World Cup glory 🤡
Emjay, djy het duidelik n papsak of 2 daar oppie flats leg gesuip!! All that LIBBOK did was prove beyond a shadow that he can ONLY feature when he has NO PRESSURE. Otherwise he is useless..no BMT, no Defense, no general game play. In other words he is useless when the pressure games come around. Pollard has shown he has all the qualities including BMT (by the buckets full) to win 2 WC’s … Misskop has proven nothing positive….
Goodbye to pollard? The guy who had to save us at the world cup? How short are our memories? It's great we got guys who can help kick but can we trust them to handle a 50m penalty under crazy stress at a world cup semi? Come on guys, we're better than this
The key to that performance was the return, at lo.o.o.ong last, of our renowned smother brick shithouse defence; the Argies couldn’t get anything going. I hope it’s here to stay.

Those three have been tested for two years and can’t kick sticks at a world
Class rate .
Ox!!!!!!
🏆💚💪🏼🙏🤙🥃🍻
too many products in front of the screen. Can't even see the time or the score! take the other screen away please
Should have let Bakkies give him that cap…😊
Guys I think it's time we give the ABs the same respect that the Breakdown show gives to the Boks they couldn't even say congratulations that's how sour they are,, so pls be the same!
Why do you think the breakdown show speaks for the whole of NZ ?
Also just watched the episode and all they talked about was the springboks ... how dare they 😅
@@joelporter000 This particular show analyzes the Boks play. The other show called Boks Office is broader in its input. This also a RUclips channel.
So it would probably be fairer to compare the Breakdown with whatever Supersport dishes up on DStv.
You have to beat the ab's 57 to 0 in order to be mentioned on the breakdown show!
They keep cheating us. How is the ref that blind?
Abs are great with islanders 😮but we are homegrown. No immigrants 😮😂😂
It did not look good until we played against 14 and 13 men. First 20 of second half was very bad. We going to stuggle in europe in november playing like this.
AT last some technical conversations as oppose to the dumb "they are not playing with heart" nonsense.
Who said white men cant jump.....classic. 😂😂😂😂
Pésimo arbitraje, inclinó la cancha contra los Pumas, desde el 14- 7, lamentable. SA, no necesitaba ayuda del árbitro.
Where do you think the ref got it wrong? I think the yellow where the guy slapped down the ball could have only been a penalty, but then again, Kolbe got a yellow for the exact same thing in the World Cup Final.
Ye might be champions. but Ye can't beat the paddies. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Moenie twak praat nie.
As of September 2023, the Springboks and Ireland have played a total of 28 test matches since their first encounter in 1906. Matches Played: 28 Springboks Wins: 18 Ireland Wins: 10
Ireland zero world cups, Boks 🏆🏆🏆🏆.
Enough with that pollard mow. Mr one dimensional . Can the boere please sit down😂😂😂. Time for real talent now
Why make it about that. Both played amazingly well
I agree that Pollard's days are numbered. I don't agree that it has anything to do with race.
