In Japan, Spaghetti-western Italy, and the historical USA, the title and subtitle are usually in the correct order unlike in the west. Like for example they would probably call 'Empire Strikes Back: (another installment in) Star Wars, giving proper respect to the work on its own merit. Not just a disposable installment in a "series", like "finally, more star wars, and oh it has a subtitle as well." In fact, in most of the world we still MEAN series when we say SERIES, and that means that if the production pipeline has been STOPPED, it's a new SERIES when we kick it back into gear. There's no "seasons" like everything that happens in the spring is meaningless until you get to gossip about what happens in the summer. It doesn't mean the original work is now retroactiely incomplete, or that knowing the latter events of the same characters is now "spoiled" because you couldn't follow them like stalker since the epsiode 1. That is only how Americans think, and probably why their ability to make social connections has been declining: they can't make friends past high school where they think life "begins".
I love how in less than 5 minutes we have tackled Mario sacrificing his brother in order to save the princess, & Peach committing seppuku, I did not expect this ride to be THAT wilde.

I really like the combination of stills from the manga and music from the game in this film, along with the addition of commercials showing what the source material for this adaptation looks like. Well done. As a big fan of Mario Land and Wario Land, thank you so much for these videos. It's a pity that these mangas were not released in English.
And thanks for calling this a “film” I do consider myself a filmmaker and a curator of film with over 500 films made since I was a kid with a camcorder in muh filmography.
@@GTV-Japan To be honest, i meant "video", but for some reason i wrote "film". Maybe because i watched yours SML1 video and both parts of SML2 before. All of this together was like a short movie lenght, so yes, you are a filmmaker.

2:41 Poor cute little Peach, captured and crying as the Mario Bros. run away bawling like cowards lol. This has to be Mario's most disgraceful moment in Nintendo history 😂
You seem to forget that Mario sells Wario. By himself, it simply wouldn't be a big sell. They use the popular names to draw attention to the more minor ones. That's just how it works. A Wario Manga would work much better as a pack-in with a related game than a standalone product. Unfortunately, his fan base just isn't strong enough to warrant that, despite the games bearing his name.
@@GTV-Japan You do a damn good job with translation and explanation of things the eigo reader would not understand. Take your time. Quality over quantity is the best. I just can't believe you've not gotten more views for these. They are WELL done.

I wonder what their take on the game would have been like it if it was just a solo Wario adventure. I'm trying to think if I'd rather see that or prefer this story as it is. Also, weird origin for Wario. Kinda reminds me of Flintheart Glomgold's origin in the 2017 version of Ducktales. I think I like the Nintendo Power Mario serial's origin better, where Wario was Mario's friend growing up, but Mario was such a bad friend that Wario grew up with huge levels of resentment. Still better than Wario and Waluigi being just there, not being brothers, and just very coincidentally looking like twisted doppelgangers of the plumber brothers.

So is the game actually Super Mario Land 3? Or Wario Land 1?
Super Mario Land 3.: Wario Land?
Technically it’s more like Wario Land 1 as Wario is the lead role and the game has nothing to do with Super Mario
