For a while, my sister, and I kept our NES. As her, and I slowly were playing our SNES more, and our NES significantly less, we eventually donated our NES. Less than a decade later, I received an NES-2 as a Christmas present. Funcoland, which became GameStop, made building up a small collection of NES titles, quite fun, while not really being expensive. It was more like, "Oh, I have pocket change from purchasing groceries, or whatever. I think I'll stop to Funcoland, see what they have." I still have, and play regularly, my NES-2.
I was born just before the dawn of the SNES, and with a limited library of new games, I was more than happy to go through the NES's backlog thanks to my parents' NES and the local rental store's selection. The only games I found myself renting time and again were SMB2 and, of course, Kirby's Adventure, my favorite on the whole console!
My first videogame was a NES clone in 1992. So the influx of high quality NES games in the early 90's was a blessing, since at the time a SNES was out of financial range. With time, a SNES and a N64 came home, but the NES bug stayed with me long enough that, as a young adult I bought a (used) original NES manufactured here in Brazil. Too bad I didn't had the foresight nor the money, to buy games that local gamestores were selling dirt cheap, to make space for CD games of a console Sony was introducing at the time.
The NES was where it all began for me, got my NES with SMB and Duck Hunt on my 5th birthday. I remember using the cool tricks from watching people play SMB in the arcade game at the local pizza shop and it was awesome! We once found a copy of Blade of Steel behind a building buried under carpet that was in the middle of nowhere, and the game actually worked when we tried it later that day. To this day I have a friend who can recite the code in Mike Tyson's Punch Out to go directly to the final fight. Towards the 90's I did not get a SNES upon release so I still played a lot of NES. I still love doing the same thing you mentioned and booting up some Kirby's Adventure to show others just how amazing the peak of the 8-bit era reached, and it truly was monumental. Once again amazing video! Thank you for sharing!

sorry if this has already been mentioned before but just a quick correction!! a large majority of adventure’s soundtrack was done by hirokazu ando, and the only tracks jun ishikawa did were the returning tracks from dream land
That bit at the end about older hardware still wowing people is so poignant. Many of my peers began their gaming journeys with the N64, PS1, or even the Saturn. I had an N64, but also inherited both a Super Nintendo and Genesis from older family members. I had many more games for these older systems. If I hadn't, I would have missed out on the greats of the 16-bit era, like Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Kart. I was a lucky kid. Kirby is probably one of my favorite series as well. Such a chill game and fun to boot.
I was never really into Kirby but I did have fun with this game when I got it as a gift from my aunt when I was a kid. Even though I already had an SNES, I thought the graphics and color for this game were the best I had ever seen on the NES...the first and only Kirby game I would have for any console as a kid. P.S. Even after getting an SNES, and later a Sega Genesis (Model 2), I still always had my NES and its games handy...especially TMNT III: The Manhattan Project.
I always expect to know the majority of facts and information before watching your videos, but you provide such an in-depth look at the topic I walk away with a new perspective.
20:03 I remember one time my siblings and I were playing in the other room and we overheard a commercial for Kirby's Avalanche in the living room and heard my mother say, "What's a Kirby?" We proceeded to quote the who's Kirby's Adventure commercial to her verbatim.
Now I see what I've been missing... I'm one of those people who barely looked back after Sonic and Super Mario World. I got a Genesis in 1991, and most of my focus was on that by the year 1993. However, I also remember that I had a Gameboy and Kirby's Dreamland was my absolute favorite game on that system. And while I never had a Super NES (just the "Mini" years later), it's puzzling why I never thought to check out Kirby's Adventure on the original NES, which I did still have. It honestly looks 16-bit, and the gameplay appears to be extremely enjoyable! I believe this would likely give Mario 3 a run for its money and likely surpass it in my eyes. I should definitely check it out!
Totally! And it’s interesting to hear these story’s where most everyone (except one cranky Brit) had the NES and then went off in different directions after that⭐️
Kirby's Adventure is easily one of the NES's best games, and that's saying quite a lot. It's also very approachable even by today's standards since it doesn't have the brutal difficulty most NES games are known for, and it lets you save your progress without needing to use save states. The only real flaw is that it's so ambitious that the NES can barely run it so there's a lot of slowdown, but other than that it's a game every retro fan should play at least once.
Thank you for another amazing episode of GTV. I just absolutely love the research and work you put into these videos. It results in high quality entertainment with very accurate information.
I normally prefer playing remakes than the original (Super Mario All Stars over the 8-Bit games for example). Kirby's Adventure is one of the few exceptions to that rule.
While everyone else has said this, I think what keeps me coming back to Kirby games is how relaxing they are. Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins is also like this
Fantastic documentary about one of my favorite games! I loved Kirby's Dream Land and was absolutely amazed when Adventure came out. I already had a Sega Genesis at this point, but this was one of the games that kept me going back to the NES. I recently played through this game again and it still holds up 30 years later
Seeing that magazine article with Kirby's Adventure and Duck Tales 2 featured next to each other, I remembered how all through the mid and late 90s, I didn't have access to any of the new systems. I only had an NES and Game Boy all the way until I bought the GameCube with my own saved money in high school. But I never felt like I was missing out. The vast majority of people I knew were in the same boat. Lower middle class families who couldn't afford the new systems. But whenever the older systems or games were cheap, our parents would relent and buy them. So the 8-bit era lasted a lot longer for me and most of my friends.
Exemplary video as always. I still love the TV show format you employ in your videos including the commercials. As a person that hasn't watched any traditional TV in years and years, it feels like a nostalgic throwback at this point hahaha
wow, excellent video! i'd say that aside from mother, kirby is probably my favorite nintendo series. so when i saw this show up, i had to watch it. as someone who wasn't around when kirby was new, i was surprised to hear that kirby's adventure was really just that well received and popular when it came out about everywhere in the world. it's probably just my experience, but during from around 2000-2013, i didn't know of anyone aside from myself that actually played kirby games outside of smash bros. now i feel like kirby is everywhere. my favorite aspect of kirby might be that he lends himself to all sorts of situations and game mechanics. the trademark copy ability in this game is a prime example of that, and he didn't even have it in his debut game. that's almost like mario not being able to jump. i think another really cool aspect of kirby's adventure is its really subtle storytelling. there's little dialog so almost anyone can pick up on it. but, there's little things like meta knight's encounters and assistance throughout the game, as if he's trying to prepare you for something instead of being an antagonist, or king dedede desperately trying to stop kirby after you beat him in battle, foreshadowing that there's something really bad going on with the fountain. i've always been kind of behind with gaming. my first console was a super nintendo, and i would also play my aunt's 8-bit nintendo during that time. (this was probably when the n64 was nearing the end of it's life.) i'd generally say that for most of my life i've very rarely played a game when it was newly released, and even when i have a current gaming console, there's just so much from the past i haven't played, that usually i spend my time with those older games. there's not necessarily anything wrong with new games, i just find a lot of this older stuff impressive for how well it still plays given what developers had to work with back in the day.
First played this at a friend's house in Santiago, Chile in 1997. I loved it and beat it there. I've only played this game in the franchise and none other. You mention born in the '70s. I just realized kids are just out of school now and that in 1994, I graduated from high school. 30-year anniversary. Wow, remember it just like yesterday and I feel old. I still remember standing in line outside the building, for the graduation ceremony, standing in our robes and mortarboards. Two guys were talking about the ending of Super Metroid and I just stood there listening, remembering my time through the game.
That’s a cool story. For me it was a kind of sad day because the local alternative rock station that was awesome was bought out by the lesser rock station and shut down that day. A fitting end perhaps?
Great Video as Always I remember the First Time I ever played Kirby's Adventure was the Remake on the GBA and a few years later I bought the Original Version on the NES at a Used Game Store and I never noticed the Technical Aspects of it until I saw it being talked on an Episode of Game Sack about Games that push the Technical Limits of Consoles
Adventure was such great colorful cool looking sounding game. Kirby on Gameboy was one of my first memories.along with Metroid and Zelda. Kirby also on nes as I was maybe 7 at the time.but I loved playing it with my brother
Kirby’s Adventure was my first Kirby Game and it’s interesting to note that it really did push the NES to its limits, the slowdown shows itself a lot but I suppose it was impressive for its time, I love how it’s also the first game to introduce copy abilities and them becoming the main central gameplay option for players, there’s something for everyone, my favorite would have to be the sword since it’s simple and you can use it underwater too.
Kirby's Adventure is one of those games that pushed the limits of the NES. It's also amazing that it was released really late in the lifespan of the console.
The presentation benefited from being released late in the NES lifespan. The programmers had the advantage of working on hardware that was well-known. It's like Shantae. That title also benefitted from being released late in the lifespan of its respective hardware (2002), specifically the Gameboy Color.
That was Quebec? I thought it was France? Or course when something says French it could be just the language and not the place. Thanks for clearing it up!

Nintendo was part of my life from an early age when I first played Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. at the arcades and at home on my ColecoVision. I got the NES in 1988 when the pack-in cart was the SMB/Duck Hunt combo game and the Zapper was still gray. I loved my NES and the earlier games are still among my favorites but, by 1993, I had already been on the SEGA Genesis for a few years and had left my NES behind so I never had much of an interest in Kirby at all. Likewise, I got a SNES in 1994 and ignored the Kirby games there too, I was in it for the JRPGs by that point. Didn't have a Game Boy so no Dream Land either. But the real story behind all this is still fascinating, great video!!
Didn't have time to watch this release day, but watched it fully now. Another great video! I'm so happy I can play Kirby nowadays. Never owned any of the games when I was young in the 90s. Today I try to play all of em on my Switch.
The NES was the only console I had growing up until I got my first job and bought a PS1 and I was thrilled to get Kirby for my 11th birthday. I played it a ton and it's still one of my top favorite Nintendo games.
Interesting enough, I live in Ontario, Canada in an area that is primarily English and next to no French but, for some reason when I was a kid (I'm in my mid 30's now), my local Wal-Mart had a copy of the French Canadian Kirby's Adventure. It was only sold for something like 10$ and our Mom bought it for my brother and I. That was our introduction to Kirby. I've loved the series ever since. My brother has that same copy in his collection currently. The nice thing too is that we didn't need to understand the language to be able to play it. It's a game that I've since played over and over again every year since.
Oh dang, this was such a nice little trip. I never played a Kirby game until MUCH later in life and I got hooked on the series, right around the time the 3DS games came out. I've since gone back and played more, but still need to dive in. Thanks for sharing this! Loved it!
My first Kirby game was Kirby dreamland 2 on gameboy. I was blown away! Loved the boss battles and secret ending and thought it blew Mario games at the time out of the water. Then I moved on to Kirby Super star SNES and so forth with releases of Kirby games but didn't even know there was a Kirby NES. Wow 8 worlds you say? I always thought it was like the gameboy game, short and sweet. I should play this entry.
I grew up playing my brother's old nes while he played the cool new snes (he wouldn't let me play it because my hands were always dirty hehe), but I always kept them both around (along with a 13" crt tv) and somewhere along the way Kirby's Adventure showed up in our collection and it is still probably the most fun game of that era that I own and the music is sooo good too !! Awesome hearing and seeing the whole story ! I never knew anything about it ♪ Thank you !
I have this original cartridge since around 2012. Battery still worked last time I checked, with some savestates still occupied by a previous owner. Haven't gotten to play it yet. I should check if the battery still works now, or if it has leaked. Now, this video documentary of 40 minutes long is probably the best material I have ever seen about this game and Kirby in general. Keep at the good work.
Thanks Sven! I’ve made 40 the maximum limit for videos anymore and I think it keeps things tight and in order I’d say get that game out and play today!
"let me show you what you've been missing." I love Kirby. I went from the original GB version to super star and didn't even know there was an NES game until a few years ago.
Oh dam, yet again I watch all GTV's videos. What a better way to start holidays than this? Looking fwd for more videos, beers and chicken wings. Have a good one amigo!
I didn’t really get into the Kirby games till Triple Deluxe on the 3DS and have been a fan ever since then. Definitely going to check out the earlier games now after watching this video. I really enjoyed this episode so much mate 🙌
I didn't get a SNES until well into 1995 because my parents couldn't afford it. Quality late NES releases like Kirby, used games found at yard sales and swap meets, and clearance bins at Kmart and Kaybee Toys filled with classics like Zelda and Final Fantasy at bargain prices were my lifeline as a kid :) No shame in that.
I only ever borrowed the original GB Kirby game, but even then I knew the character was special. Lower key than Mario, and the Nintendo A-listers. I wound up buying, and greatly preferring, Kirby's Adventure. When it came out years later, I really got into the Kirby: Right Back At Ya anime, and was disappointed the merchandising was so sparse because of the company that handled the US dub (even though they promised him to be the next Pikachu). I've noticed in the last 10 years the character FINALLY got his due over here.
IMO, one of the best NES games, and I still am a big Kirby fan. It was rather long, had innovative game mechanics, great music, and was just fun to play and run through. Plus, the box art!
My first Nintendo game alongside the original Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda. Only game missing from my childhood collection of NES titles that would later become flagship franchises was Metroid, though I guess Kid Icarus also counts considering that was my half brothers’ game that we shared back and forth whenever they were down visiting our dad.
I remember playing this game on a black n white TV. My dad bought me this game and metal gear. My brother’s friend borrowed me Mario bros 3. I was the happiest 5 year old ever.
The famicom was made with arcade games on mind, whether those games were successful or not, because nintendo already had the idea of creating a cartride based game console back in 1980,but it was that those successes in the arcade did speeded things up for nintendo to create a cartride based game console, Supermariobros pushed the stock nes to it’s limits while kirby’s adventure pushed both the nes and the mmc3 chip to it’s limits, altrough i can hardly believe that they didn’t used any assets from the gameboy game, you might think that they ported the source code to the nes an heavily expand the engine of it including it’s graphics & sounds in order to save time, well i found it good that they decided to make kirby look pink and not yellow because otherwise he would,ve be getting associated with pac man.
I was born in 1996 but this was my first video game. My parents had an NES and they bought it for me when I was 2 or 3 years old, obviosuly it took a couple years for me to really figure the game but the music is always on my mind. Specifically the Grape Garden and Rainbow Resort map screens.
Absolutely love all of these anniversary videos, always tons of interesting information. I've been a fair weather Kirby fan over the years, having picked up the original game and various releases sporadically. The last year or so been slowly catching up on his newer titles and they always give a great laid back vibe with a dash of challenge at times. While I haven't played the last few Switch releases, they are on my radar, been having a good time checking out the 3DS titles I let pass me by.
Great video ! I'm a huge fan of Kirby, all the games are very enjoyable and are quite charming. As someone from Quebec I was not expecting to see a Kirby commercial from Quebec in the video lol Funny thing is I was not even aware of that commercial, I did not watch much TV as a kid, was spending my TV time on games instead.
Kirby has always been my "comfort food" video game franchise. They may not be the trickiest or most innovative games, but you're always in for a good time regardless.

sorry if this has already been mentioned before but just a quick correction!! a large majority of adventure’s soundtrack was done by hirokazu ando, and the only tracks jun ishikawa did were the returning tracks from dream land
I really enjoyed the presentation of this video, gonna have to go back through your previous work to see some other docs that you've done!
Thank you! Comment on anything you like. Talk to you again soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️
He beat Bubsy?!?!? What could possibly go wrong indeed…
The lost Vikings never got over it.
The first Kirby game that make you copy the enemies and pushed the limit of the NES. Great game.
I'm always looking for your new stuff and watching old content of yours!
Wuv you GTV! 🤗
the best gaming/japanese culture channel on the platform imo
@@Prodmullefc I think I would have to agree! 🎉
I’m happy to earn your wuv. Spelled with an Earth “W”⭐️
Yeah I always thought it was interesting to have that generational gap side by side for so long
Thank you very much for such a great video, full of details and tidbits of one of the most iconic mascots of all times
Glad you liked it Lan ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing work, narrative and editing. It made me appreciate even more the importance of Kirby in what Nintendo is today. Thanks Gtv!
Thanks Jose!
7:00 Many decades later, this ad inspired Kirby's Epic Yarn.
I was thinking the same thing. Japan always got the kooky and fun commercials imo.
Also a late release and really good too!
I always expect to know the majority of facts and information before watching your videos, but you provide such an in-depth look at the topic I walk away with a new perspective.
Thanks Metric! I appreciate the kind words. I’ll use them as motivation in the future ⭐️
30 Years later Kirby's Adventure is still brilliant today. 😀👍🎮
Here’s to 30 more⭐️
@@GTV-Japan that's right. 😀👍🎮
20:03 I remember one time my siblings and I were playing in the other room and we overheard a commercial for Kirby's Avalanche in the living room and heard my mother say, "What's a Kirby?" We proceeded to quote the who's Kirby's Adventure commercial to her verbatim.
Ha! I love it!!
Totally! And it’s interesting to hear these story’s where most everyone (except one cranky Brit) had the NES and then went off in different directions after that⭐️
@@GTV-Japan 👍
Kirby's Adventure is easily one of the NES's best games, and that's saying quite a lot. It's also very approachable even by today's standards since it doesn't have the brutal difficulty most NES games are known for, and it lets you save your progress without needing to use save states. The only real flaw is that it's so ambitious that the NES can barely run it so there's a lot of slowdown, but other than that it's a game every retro fan should play at least once.
@@BlueAizu_ 👍
I remember hanging out in my friend's room playing this game non stop almost. Good times.
Ain’t we lucky we got’em?⭐️
Thank you for another amazing episode of GTV. I just absolutely love the research and work you put into these videos. It results in high quality entertainment with very accurate information.
Hey Bård! Good to see you again. Thanks for coming by as always. Have a great weekend ⭐️
I normally prefer playing remakes than the original (Super Mario All Stars over the 8-Bit games for example). Kirby's Adventure is one of the few exceptions to that rule.
Totally
The GBA remake butchered so many things
I love how you simulate commercial breaks with actual commercials for the game
That’s the GTV way!
While everyone else has said this, I think what keeps me coming back to Kirby games is how relaxing they are. Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins is also like this
I like that. Why does everything have to be amped up all the time?
Thank You for taking me on an Adventure with Kirby through his NES Days & Beyond.
Let’s take a ride!⭐️
Nintendo: "Yeah, we're changing the main character's name. We're gonna name him after an American lawyer instead."
Sakurai: "Say what now?"
Fantastic documentary about one of my favorite games! I loved Kirby's Dream Land and was absolutely amazed when Adventure came out. I already had a Sega Genesis at this point, but this was one of the games that kept me going back to the NES. I recently played through this game again and it still holds up 30 years later
I’m glad you liked it! Thanks for watching ⭐️
I can never tire of Kirby's Adventure, I literally just beat it again for the umpteenth time right before finding this vid.
Serendipity!
Great story! Thanks for sharing ⭐️⭐️
Amazing video as usual! 👏🏼 Loved it as much as I also love Kirby!
Thanks Elliot⭐️
8:52 the only time I’ve ever seen miyamoto wearing glasses
Weird! He certainly got those from the Koichi Nakano line 👍🏻
Great video. Lovely to see these games get such wonderful documentary treatment.
Thanks Carter! I hope there’s a bit more celebrating this game even though Kirby himself already got the big 30 treatment last year⭐️
Exemplary video as always. I still love the TV show format you employ in your videos including the commercials. As a person that hasn't watched any traditional TV in years and years, it feels like a nostalgic throwback at this point hahaha
Hey thanks Chris! That’s just how I leaned, and take what I did when I was a tv director and turned it into this. Have a good Easter weekend! 🐰
wow, excellent video! i'd say that aside from mother, kirby is probably my favorite nintendo series. so when i saw this show up, i had to watch it.
as someone who wasn't around when kirby was new, i was surprised to hear that kirby's adventure was really just that well received and popular when it came out about everywhere in the world. it's probably just my experience, but during from around 2000-2013, i didn't know of anyone aside from myself that actually played kirby games outside of smash bros. now i feel like kirby is everywhere.
my favorite aspect of kirby might be that he lends himself to all sorts of situations and game mechanics. the trademark copy ability in this game is a prime example of that, and he didn't even have it in his debut game. that's almost like mario not being able to jump. i think another really cool aspect of kirby's adventure is its really subtle storytelling. there's little dialog so almost anyone can pick up on it. but, there's little things like meta knight's encounters and assistance throughout the game, as if he's trying to prepare you for something instead of being an antagonist, or king dedede desperately trying to stop kirby after you beat him in battle, foreshadowing that there's something really bad going on with the fountain.
i've always been kind of behind with gaming. my first console was a super nintendo, and i would also play my aunt's 8-bit nintendo during that time.
What a great story! Thanks for sharing!⭐️
I didn’t really play Kirby’s Adventure for my NES at first; but I did play it’s remake: Nightmare In Dreamland for the Game Boy Advance as a kid!
Another amazing high quality documentary that you can’t find anywhere else
I’m glad you enjoyed it!⭐️
This game may age but will never grow old to me. I still love to play it on the Classic Mini NES. This game holds a special place in my heart.
Same here! Thanks for watching ⭐️

Same here ⭐️
I find Kirby's Adventure for NES one of the best Kirby games around.
What a great video. Thank you for the informative fun walk down memory lane. My mother and i loved playing Kerby!
Thanks I’m glad you like it ⭐️
First played this at a friend's house in Santiago, Chile in 1997.
Great Video as Always
I remember the First Time I ever played Kirby's Adventure was the Remake on the GBA and a few years later I bought the Original Version on the NES at a Used Game Store and I never noticed the Technical Aspects of it until I saw it being talked on an Episode of Game Sack about Games that push the Technical Limits of Consoles
Well if you found it used I hope ya got a good deal!
I don’t really notice slowdown but maybe that was just because he moves kind of slow. Thanks for watching!⭐️⭐️
I really appreciate your content, thank you!
Thanks Ness!
My first time playing this game was the first gameboy game. What an amazing game I played over and over and over again!
It’s a good game but just kind of short
AHHH! So THAT'S where they got the Epic Yarn idea! Has no idea there was an old Japanese commercial like that!
And that it managed to be popular. It’s all amazing. I don’t see FIFA or Madden 19 on ps 3 doing that!⭐️
I love Kirby's and sakurai
27:53: On behalf of Quebec, I would like to apologize for this cheesy ad.
high standards don't compensate for weakness b
That was Quebec? I thought it was France? Or course when something says French it could be just the language and not the place. Thanks for clearing it up!
@@GTV-Japan Nah, not France, the guy who looks like the 90' vomited all over him his talking in Joual (see Wikipedia, you even got an English listing for that word).
Ah ok! I’ll look it up! I noticed Joypad featured the French text but I found no other solid proof that the Quebec version made it over there. Searching roms it just has EU and Germany.
Yes! A fellow grey gunner! ⭐️⭐️thanks for sharing your story!
Didn't have time to watch this release day, but watched it fully now. Another great video! I'm so happy I can play Kirby nowadays. Never owned any of the games when I was young in the 90s. Today I try to play all of em on my Switch.
Sounds good! Play on!
Love your videos! Thank you!!!
You got it⭐️
The NES was the only console I had growing up until I got my first job and bought a PS1 and I was thrilled to get Kirby for my 11th birthday. I played it a ton and it's still one of my top favorite Nintendo games.
Great to hear! Keep 8 bit alive!
I just finished Nightmare in Dream Land on gba. What a game.
Great vid
Interesting enough, I live in Ontario, Canada in an area that is primarily English and next to no French but, for some reason when I was a kid (I'm in my mid 30's now), my local Wal-Mart had a copy of the French Canadian Kirby's Adventure. It was only sold for something like 10$ and our Mom bought it for my brother and I. That was our introduction to Kirby. I've loved the series ever since. My brother has that same copy in his collection currently.
The nice thing too is that we didn't need to understand the language to be able to play it. It's a game that I've since played over and over again every year since.
That’s interesting! Thanks for sharing your experience ⭐️
Oh dang, this was such a nice little trip. I never played a Kirby game until MUCH later in life and I got hooked on the series, right around the time the 3DS games came out. I've since gone back and played more, but still need to dive in. Thanks for sharing this! Loved it!
If you haven’t played adventure you must. It’s great. Have a great weekend 🏒
@@GTV-Japan Oh yes. Definitely. I went from Dream Land to Adventure and Dream Land 2. Still so many to get to. Have a great day!

You should! Don’t miss out!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

10:41 Ah, yes, everyone’s favorite Kirby character: King DayDayDay.
I didn’t really get into the Kirby games till Triple Deluxe on the 3DS and have been a fan ever since then. Definitely going to check out the earlier games now after watching this video. I really enjoyed this episode so much mate 🙌
It’s worth playing! Enjoy I sayy
The way to play! It’s like the old saying goes: if you haven’t seen it, it’s new to you!
Better late than never ⭐️
7:03 ahh so that's where the idea for Kirby's epic yarn came from

My first Nintendo game alongside the original Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda. Only game missing from my childhood collection of NES titles that would later become flagship franchises was Metroid, though I guess Kid Icarus also counts considering that was my half brothers’ game that we shared back and forth whenever they were down visiting our dad.
Kid Icarus! One of the greats and my favorite too 🍆
I remember playing this game on a black n white TV. My dad bought me this game and metal gear. My brother’s friend borrowed me Mario bros 3. I was the happiest 5 year old ever.
Awesome! I wonder how the last stage looks in B/W
@@GTV-Japan hahahahahaha
The famicom was made with arcade games on mind, whether those games were successful or not, because nintendo already had the idea of creating a cartride based game console back in 1980,but it was that those successes in the arcade did speeded things up for nintendo to create a cartride based game console,
Supermariobros pushed the stock nes to it’s limits while kirby’s adventure pushed both the nes and the mmc3 chip to it’s limits, altrough i can hardly believe that they didn’t used any assets from the gameboy game, you might think that they ported the source code to the nes an heavily expand the engine of it including it’s graphics & sounds in order to save time, well i found it good that they decided to make kirby look pink and not yellow because otherwise he would,ve be getting associated with pac man.

The last year or so been slowly catching up on his newer titles and they always give a great laid back vibe with a dash of challenge at times. While I haven't played the last few Switch releases, they are on my radar, been having a good time checking out the 3DS titles I let pass me by.
The 3D classics version is the best!
Great video ! I'm a huge fan of Kirby, all the games are very enjoyable and are quite charming.
As someone from Quebec I was not expecting to see a Kirby commercial from Quebec in the video lol
Funny thing is I was not even aware of that commercial, I did not watch much TV as a kid, was spending my TV time on games instead.
