There's one other SpongeBob game that I'm trying to find but have never been able to. It was a flash game about Doodlebob sending doodle enemies after you. It played kind of like a first-person shooter where you wielded the pencil and would shoot the enemies with erasers. I remember the music from the cheap walk cycles playing in the game. Do you know what that game might be called? I remember playing it while at the library as a kid but part of me feels like it's just in my imagination.
What year did you email "THQ" ? Because I think you emailed THQ Nordic who probably couldn't get the licenses THQ once had. Not that that's the only thing preventing a re release

This game was my whole childhood. It’s crazy how many hours I poured into it. Anyone else have the type to learn SpongeBob game? Learning to type on a computer was hard for me as a kid bc I’m dyslexic, it’s amazing how much potential games have to inspire kids to love learning during their developmental years. We’ve only scratched the surface.

I had this game as a child. I have fond memories of playing it quite frequently, even trying to obtain the hidden VHS tape in each chapter. While true that this game is a little janky, I think the jankiness adds to the charm. I appreciate that someone is giving this game some recognition.
The jank of this game is what makes it special and gives it character in my opinion. It’s very unique and like nothing else. Also I just love the way most of the characters in this game talk like real people too.
These backgrounds are actually gorgeous, the added lightning on the places make them much more moody, which in addition to the caustics on the outdoor areas makes everything look much more decisively underwater and alive
Yeah I swear there are times where the PC games (minus Operation Krabby Patty since it was more a straight rip of the TV show’s artstyle) made Bikini Bottom look more enticing than the Pokémon world than the TV show could ever make it look.
I remember playing this on my parent's computer regularly when I was a kid. It was legit one of the only few games I ever played to completion at the time, I'm so happy to see it get recognition

FINALLY SOMEONE WHO PLAYED THE FUNCLUB RENDITION OF THE SPONGEBOB GAMES! I've played this very specific version of the game ever since I was very little and still own mine and my brother's copy of it. The entire game is very creepy and feels like a major fever dream but is oh so nostalgic to my time growing up in Poland with my family in our very tiny house. Just like you, we didn't have access to any mainstream channels like Nickelodeon or CN before we moved to England and so we had to watch the Polish dubs on either our very broken PC or some channels on TV that played them in the morning before we went to school. I'm so happy someone also remembers this game and finally spoke about it because I swear to God, my friends thought I was going crazy when I asked them if they also played the creepy Spongebob movie game when they were growing up. I actually recently tried to download it back onto my computer to play it for the memories but failed as my CD refused to load. It's sad, really, but I'm still so happy I have my favorite childhood game.

Watching this gave me an intense feeling of nostalgia and unlocked so many memories from my elementary school days. I cannot believe that I forgot about this game. Thank you for making this video.
The itch that this scratched in my brain is unbelievable - it also made me realise that the fake phone number I've given out before is partly based on the phone number SpongeBob has to find for the fancy restaurant...

You just unlocked a portion of my childhood I'd locked away deep inside my memories. I loved this game! Probably played it like twice through around 2007 or so, and apparently forgot about it since. Thanks for letting me relive it again :)
This is amazing! It's like an alternate take of the glove world episode. Completely on brand and in universe. I would've loved this but i didn't know it existed. Must not have been promoted well.
My local library’s computers all had Employee of the Month. Whenever I went to the library I’d always try to get as far as I could, but because they had a 60-minute limit on how long people could use the computers, I just ended up replaying the first section of the game over and over. Good memories.
I GREW UP PLAYING EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH I used to play it whenever I stayed with my grandma, along with club penguin. I still have the original CD game and can play it too. I didn't realize their was an entire line of games, I just have the original CD case Edit: good game
Finally this game is being talked about. Its somehow been simultaneously forgotten and always on my mind for the last almost 20 years Good analysis, thank you for reviewing it from a positive angle, and great comedy
Wow, I can’t believe I found someone who’s talking about this game!! I have always had a vague memory of the scene where Mermaid man and barnacle boy were in a parking lot, but I had no idea this was the game until I saw rock bottom!
Oh man you really pulled a banger out of my childhood. The warm excitement I got seeing those cutscenes for the first time in at least 15 years…good sh**
I played this as a kid for like three weeks straight every day when I got home from school, and I still remember the entire Sublime Seafoods arc of the game, including how to get into the restaurant, and what the path to the area looked like lol
You can only just barely catch it in this video but at 7:10 you can see what SpongeBob says when he clicks on it "Ahhh... Sandy Cheeks. looking at her makes me smile!" BRO HOW DID THEY GET THAT PAST NICK💀💀💀
I got this game at a scholastic bookfare in the 3rd grade and I played it multiple times. Loved it and I still think of it very fondly and it holds that kind of “anything could happen in this game and all possibilities are endless” vibe that games had when you were really young.
i haven't seen the full video yet but thank you for covering this game this was my favorite game to play when I was younger and my introduction to point and click adventure games, a genre that I love to this day
OMG I REMEMBER THISS!! i remember i spent so long trying to look for any info on this game but i couldnt find anything! ty for making this video i'm so glad it's finally getting attention.
I haven't thought about this game in about 20 years. My first "girlfriend" (well, we were as fond of one another as two 8-year-olds could be) got this game for her birthday and we were infatuated by it and played it all the time on her parents' PC after school. I later got Battle for Bikini Bottom which we then played on my parents' PC!
This is seriously one of my favorite games ever. my dad must have bought it for my older brothers and I first played it like 3 or 4 years after release. Then I rediscovered the disk in a drawer in middle school and replayed it. THEN i replayed it again just a few years ago, it was fun every time. Great video :)
I got this game as a gift when I was super young; loved it. Point and click games were my childhood. It's fun to look back and remember just how simple these games were, while for my kid brain they weren't easy at all.
Just wanted to say that this video is absolutely fantastic, your script writing is at a really high level and the video isn’t over edited. Really hope to see more from you in the future mate.
This video's existence makes me so happy, every Spongebob video I've seen that talk about the games always pointedly say they mean the console ones not PC and THESE are the two games I remember distinctly from my British childhood!!
man, i was really hoping based on the title it was Employee of the Month. i loved this game as a kid, i played it all the time. last year i went back and tried to play it, it still holds up pretty well (for being a 2002 Point n Click game). the humor is spot-on for the early seasons. i didn't understand probably HALF of the jokes as a kid, i was just happy to be playing a spongebob game. as an adult, i understand sooooo much more of the game. Spongebob Movie game is also pretty solid, i got about 3/4 through it this spring. they don't make Spongebob games like they used to anymore.
Oh my god this reawakened so many childhood memories for me, I LOVED the car washing minigame, it was the main thing I remembered after so many years. Everything came back to me, the rotating low poly items, the golden coconut, the Squidward dream sequence, good LORD I missed this game. Very fun video about it!
god i love that this game is getting so much coverage recently!! i felt crazy telling my friends and family about this game when no one else ever played it
this is the one SpongeBob game I used to always play, as I got older I could never remember the name or see anything else like it so I always thought this was a dream. thank you for bringing this up and now I can finally remember everything about it
From the beginning of the video I felt a sense of nostalgia but couldn't figure out why. But as soon as I saw the animation where you collect the dirty plate I remembered! I don't know where or when but I am completely sure I've played this game, and I've completely forgotten! Thank you so much for restoring a forgotten memory!
This is one of those games that I find myself coming back to every couple of years. It’s so comforting and calming to me, and really inspired a lot of aspects of my art and what I’d like to create! Really underrated classic imho.
Seeing this video in my recommended has reminded me that I've been meaning to play this game again. I'll try to find it and replay it because I remember very little besides that it was good, and then I'll finish watching this video. Replayed it, great game
This is really interesting, I somehow missed this game entirely despite growing up with SpongeBob (it premiered right after I turned 9) and having all the other games. The art style is so weird for the cut scenes, it reminded me of the game Façade. Awesome video to showcase it, I'd never have known otherwise.
I've seen a couple comments about the song I used right at the beginning, it's called 'KRUSTY KREW ANTHEM' by KASH KRABS

This is a banger of a video. So well made. How does this only have 1.5k views?!!! 😤
66K now, it's blowing up
Great shit, dude, hope you grow more. I used to love these games growing up and they're so much fun to pick apart, your commentary is hilarious too.
Masterclass of a video. I forgot all about this game, but it is such a vivid memory now to see it again. Earned my sub.
man, i was really hoping based on the title it was Employee of the Month. i loved this game as a kid, i played it all the time. last year i went back and tried to play it, it still holds up pretty well (for being a 2002 Point n Click game). the humor is spot-on for the early seasons. i didn't understand probably HALF of the jokes as a kid, i was just happy to be playing a spongebob game. as an adult, i understand sooooo much more of the game.
Very fun video about it!
this channel is gonna go great places
I've always been obsessed with the unnecessary mouth movement from Squidward after he says 'Employee of the Year" in the intro. Awesome video!
god i love that this game is getting so much coverage recently!! i felt crazy telling my friends and family about this game when no one else ever played it
this is the one SpongeBob game I used to always play, as I got older I could never remember the name or see anything else like it so I always thought this was a dream. thank you for bringing this up and now I can finally remember everything about it
I'm so happy to see your channel growing over the course of a few days! You deserve much more ♡ great video!
damn this video not even having 1k views is definitely the proof of algorithm hell. u got mad potential
coming back seeing your vid having 650k views now really puts a smile on my face :) glad u made it out of the algorithm hell
Well i bet you commented this nothing the first day it was posted. Obviously it would have low views.
@@jaydub2546 tf u want from me? 💀 idk? i saw it when he still had like 100 subs and it already was posted for a week or so idfc it was 9 months ago😭
@@qvssi 🤣
40:19 had me in stitches man, "just don't think about it too much" 😂
I absolutely love this game.
As a kid, actually being in and interacting with Bikini Bottom was the coolest thing ever!
Its pretty much routine for me to watch a playthrough of this game ATLEAST twice a month
SAMEEEEEEEE i have a whole saved playlist for it💀💀
From the beginning of the video I felt a sense of nostalgia but couldn't figure out why. But as soon as I saw the animation where you collect the dirty plate I remembered! I don't know where or when but I am completely sure I've played this game, and I've completely forgotten! Thank you so much for restoring a forgotten memory!
Same actually.
I don't know how or why but it feels so familiar.
This is one of those games that I find myself coming back to every couple of years. It’s so comforting and calming to me, and really inspired a lot of aspects of my art and what I’d like to create! Really underrated classic imho.
I was absolutely obsessed with these games, you sparked some nice memories with this video, thanks
Seeing this video in my recommended has reminded me that I've been meaning to play this game again. I'll try to find it and replay it because I remember very little besides that it was good, and then I'll finish watching this video.
Replayed it, great game
This was great! You earned a subscriber, keep it up!
Everything about this video is amazing - as others have said, you're so underrated!
Yay, I love the movie tie-in game! Please make a video about it. It's really funny.
This is really interesting, I somehow missed this game entirely despite growing up with SpongeBob (it premiered right after I turned 9) and having all the other games. The art style is so weird for the cut scenes, it reminded me of the game Façade. Awesome video to showcase it, I'd never have known otherwise.
This was the spongebob game I enjoyed most as a kid. I hope they will remaster it
