Ok, thanks for the advice. I did it again last week. I was in the city on my way back, and a good-looking woman was smiling, so I smiled back and approached her. I asked for her name and introduced myself. She said she had no boyfriend and asked me if I had a girlfriend. I replied in a humorous way "Well that depends if our connection will blossem." I kid you not her face turned a bit red, but with a smile. We are planning to go out next Saturday.

The better we understand ourselves and each other, the more chance there must be for harmony and fulfilment, both on a personal and global level. Most of us men really struggle to understand ourselves, let alone women. And we are so often in the dark when it comes to how best to ,not just survive, but thrive with the opposite sex. There is so much work to be done on both these fronts, and I see Anna as a great ''insider'' ally in helping us unravel the mystery of female behaviour. She's working like a special agent ''behind the lines'' but is actually on both sides, working for a peaceful and happy coexistence between the sexes. She offers really practical tips to help us to learn how to move forward in both these areas. I like the way it is presented, in a concise way; to the point, no teasing(well a little!), no waffle, all doable, but only of course if we roll up our sleeves and do the work. It has all the elements of what I consider to be good teaching. It offers great insights and realistic encouragement, gives really helpful information, and offers balance. No one is the bad guy. Men and women are simply wired differently, and given that truth, here are some constructive suggestions on how best to navigate that. Although it's a business , and her living , I get a strong sense that this is very much about her wanting to contribute her expertise as an offering to the World, which is why she comes across as so authentic, and human. Well done. You're pretty sharp kid. I am approaching dating from a new level in my life. I have asked a couple of ladies out in the last year for a "date". I use quotes around the term because I figured that a date meant two people meeting in a safe place to spend time getting to know each other better. I have come to understand that so far, the ladies I have asked out for coffee assume that I'm looking for a relationship right off the bat. I'm assuming the term "date" contains a connotation to some women that isn't exactly my intention. Of course, if I get to know someone by dating that results over time to be more than just getting to know someone, that's another matter. I'm slowly figuring it out thanks in part to your videos. I suppose that I should state that I am a faithful man and my chastity in ALL matters in regards to relationships takes maximum priority. I generally state this so that the women I approach don't get the wrong idea. I intend on maintaining this chastity until my wedding night, should my Lord allow such a blessing. That chastity will continue in twain though in a different way but that is another matter. At any rate, before my change of heart, which has resulted in a change of mind and life, I never had to go on a date. I have come to realize this wasn't a good thing. So long story short, I am finding my antiquated and seldom used efforts to date don't serve me so well. At the end of the day, I just wanted to say thanks. I'm approaching 50 in a couple of years and things are much different than before because I have worked hard on becoming a better man but haven't worked much on my approach to dating. My passion is my God and my service to others for His Glory. I'm finding that this can be a bit overwhelming at first for women as I take it very serious. I have great hope that I will appeal to the right woman someday but I realize that I can make myself seem a bit difficult for a woman to be comfortable around. I am a good man and a great guy. Indeed He made us different but it is the very way in which we compliment each other in regards to our specific abilities and traits that makes the union of man and woman in marriage such a beautiful sacrament I believe. Equal not in certain, specific abilities and blessings, but better than equality in how such a union mirrors His justice which in this imperfect world represents balance. Of course this is just my humble opinion. To me equality would bring monotony. But I get even more pissed off whenever people and Society still think men have it better than women do. I am a good man and a great guy. I say this with humbleness but with dignity. I have been a bit too sharp around the edges though mostly due to ignorance, not foolishness or foolish expectations. Seeing this I am striving to learn how to reapply my talents and virtues in a bit less imposing way.

Thank you for a thoughtful comment! As mentioned by someone else, when you accept that God made man and woman different to complement each other, it makes it easier to accept those differences. That's *not* to say a woman's bad behaviour need be tolerated, most definitely not. Request noted. :)
Thanks for responding and thanks for your consideration of my request. Indeed He made us different but it is the very way in which we compliment each other in regards to our specific abilities and traits that makes the union of man and woman in marriage such a beautiful sacrament I believe. Equal not in certain, specific abilities and blessings, but better than equality in how such a union mirrors His justice which in this imperfect world represents balance. Of course this is just my humble opinion.
To me equality would bring monotony. It is the very differences between the sexes that make it so worthwhile to put forth the continuous work that the Lord requires, even when the miles of loneliness of the pursuit of virtue in the efforts to approach the sacrament of marriage in earnest begin to stack up.
The hard thing to do and the right thing to do are generally the same thing. Anything worth doing is usually difficult to achieve and many times difficult to maintain but I believe when done for His ultimate glory many blessings will come to be in the pursuit.

Anna I know you are a proponent of being in the friend zone. I'm curious though, what is better to do if there is a woman who turned you down in the past but you've stayed friends, who after one relationship ends finds themselves in another one a few months later. Should you be direct and say you don't just want to be friends forever and break off all contact, or should you continue to be friends and only bring up your interest if her current relationship ends?

Yeah I will forever be depressed and bitter and resentful that I did not have a breakthrough or a milestone in my dating life until the end of my twenties and first long-term relationship until the beginning of my 30s.
I will forever feel inferior to other people since people normally have their first relationship around 17 to beginning of 20s.
Whenever people say comparison is the thief of Joy I get very angry and pissed off whenever people say that.
But yeah I'll always be mad and angry that I did not have a relationship until late in life until later than normal and I know it makes me mad and angry whenever people say that it's never too late or that there's no age cap on love or dating in relationships.
But I get even more pissed off whenever people and Society still think men have it better than women do.
Me and a lot of people like to believe that women definitely have it better than men do when it comes to dating and I know I'll always agree with that
