The thing is if she rejects you, don't take it personally. As a young man in my 20s, I had more confidence talking to women older than me who were in their 40s. They seemed nicer than women my own age and often talked to me, and these were good-looking woman. Now, I know how to talk to girls in their 20s, but I still have my best luck with women older than me.

Also, I used to get rejected so often that I just adopted the attitude of "...so what" and maintained my composure with a smile and just went about my business like it was no big deal. I found out later that it gave me a look of self confidence and worth. Later a woman who had previously rejected me was impressed enough with how I handled being rejected that thought "that was a confident man". I got a date out of it in the long run. I'm a sensitive man and being rejected hurts but just own it and carry on.
One of my best friends growing up was very successful with women. He was very good looking and it seemed like he got all the girls. He told me one day that he actually gets turned down 9/10 times. He just keeps trying until he succeeds. No one sees that part.
Best response to any rejection, "Have a nice day" with sincerity. Any negativity only aims to affirm her choice to reject. And yes, even the Chads get rejected, and even the Chads don't enjoy it. Brilliant comment!
There is a point where keeping trying until you succeed (with women at least) is sad and pathetic.
I have watched your videos for many years and found some useful info even at my age (77). After my divorce 9 years ago from a 43-year marriage, it took me a couple years to start to approach women. Great advice, I've been getting my rep's in. I now see a cute girl, I don't hesitate I walk up and start a conversation. Most girls are pretty nice and enjoy the conversation. I do get the "I've got a boyfriend." line quite a bit, which I think is just a nice way of saying no. I'm also good at approaching woman who are married, lol!

I love that place where you are standing while recording this video and the weather was fine and I think it's cold and snowing there in Vancouver Island bc, Canada.
So, confidence is one of the greatest strength for a man. So, about approaching woman recently I am successful in doing so, although I have that nervousness. You know even if I meet you as a person for the first time I will be little nervous but probably it won't be known outside. Sometimes something in my head used to tell me to approach beautiful womans often and try harder to talk to them, but the conversations would only go normal. So, that's my recent history when it comes to approaching a woman which is something very new for me.

What a great video, Anna! You are so funny and smart. I think “don’t be a douchebag” has to be the best bit of advice I’ve heard. So simple and direct. My guiding principle when socializing with women is “don’t act like an asshole.” Same basic notion. Nice location, BTW. What is that torrent rushing behind you? Somewhere in Vancouver?

I used to wonder why women don't have as much confidence as men do and why they almost never approach guys in the dating scene. I discovered it's an ancient, instinctive trait women have. Hence, they want the guy to make the first move. They want to see the emotional strength and courage in a guy. It's good to kind of clear ones mind and just get on with beginning the interaction instead of overthinking the negative "what ifs"!

Alternative scenario:
One is biking on a trail next to the canal. At the end of the 24 miles of biking near where I am parked, I notice two big ships coming in my direction. I position myself to get a few photos of the ships going by with my bike in the foreground.
I passed a good-looking woman jogger just a few minutes earlier, and she rounds the corner coming towards me. I have no intention of talking to her. Concentrating more on the photo. Near the time of the photo, I look around for anyone around.
She is gone.
I get a few photos and wait for the second ship. I look around and see her in the parking lot area, just walking. She goes to the access road, which is past me and continues on jogging.
She was not going to be in the photo. Yet, she went across the grass island, around the bathroom building where two other bicyclists were to the access road and back on the jogging trail
How do I combat these circumstances?
I got a lady that I knew and danced into a conversation on what she was looking forward to doing when it got into warmer weather when a 'Chad' ( both in looks an much better dancing skills) asked her to dance. She danced with him and also with others, staying on the other side of the dance studio floor, never getting a chance to finish the conversation.
Again, Anna, how can one adjust to that other than shaking one's head and moving on?
Next time if you want to meet her and she makes eye contact for longer than a cursory glance, say, "Deja vu, didn't I just see you or are my eyes playing tricks on me?" Just like with art, you have to take risks.
I agree. But the jogger did not even look my way. She went out of her way and walked slowly by the two gentlemen bikers near where they were standing, returning to the trail past me to keep on jogging.
I was food shopping in a store. It c so happens that I went down one isle while a lady was coming up the same isle. It happened multiple times. The fourth or fifth time we passed it each going in opposite direction looking for food items, I jokingly said to her,"Heh, you know we have to stop meeting like this."
Never saw her again.
I have to think not all situations are conducive to meet women. As there are times a woman might not feel safe enough to be approached. Not saying it can't be worked, just look at it from her view also. I think that you're doing great learning to understand others. And being here with the rest of us. You're here empowering yourself instead of watching a Men's Victim channel

Yes, this! I remember when I started in real estate sales many many moons ago I ended up in tears the first day and wanted to quit because of a really nasty rejection (the dude used every cuss word in the book on me including the "c" word). I found out later he was known in the community for h8ting realtors. (Side note: after 20 yrs in the biz, I understand why lol though they're not all bad.) Anyway, after I got over my snowflake meltdown, I decided I would never let a rejection personally affect me again. I call or knocked on 100 doors a day or until I got an appt. I learned to hone my approach and soon became successful. Same principle. Remember, rejection is God's protection and redirection! You got this!

My fear when approaching women is my situation.50 this year and no experience, and i mean non whatsoever! Sad I know but true. It must be easier for guys out there that have had at least a few gf's. Confidence is key but sure if I had experience it would be much easier to initiate conservation.

I will admit, I sometimes still feel like an incel despite having a girlfriend, well ex girlfriend now, mainly due to not having had one until late in life, probably because I feel that my 20s were a waste, didn't have a serious relationship until the beginning of my 30s.
It causes me to envy and resent couples out there younger than me, people who got to experience having a serious long-term relationship before I did and yes I know people will always say comparison is the thief of joy or don't compare yourself to others.
But I believe it's always has been and always will be part of the human psyche, been that way since the beginning of time to feel upset and depressed when you feel you are not part of the norm.
Because of that I feel like a forever permanent incel for all time, even when I did manage to get a girlfriend.
So yeah even while I did have a girlfriend, I still felt like an incel.
I don't see myself ever getting over this, it will be a pain and wound for the rest of my life.
And I'm not afraid to admit that there have been times over the years I have hated being born male, because I know I'm not the only guy in the world that has this mindset, that men have to do everything in dating and relationships and seduction.
Yes I know tons of people say what's the point of being angry and depressed over what didn't happen in the past or not?
Well I'm entitled and I have a right to my mindset, I believe it's always been part of human nature or just the human psyche to always be sad and depressed or angry and resentful over good things that they wish happened to them in the past but didn't.
I know I'm not afraid to admit I have had these thoughts, and I'm sure other guys have thought this way, we feel that if we had been born a woman, we would not have been single that long.
Probably because women just have to exist and they are guaranteed attention and options from Men, that requires no skill or no social dynamics, no game or no seduction.
One person I remember I heard said that women need game as well which I thought was the stupidest thing I ever heard.
So ya I still feel like an incel for all time despite managing to get a girlfriend eventually, and I still get irritated and annoyed whenever people and society say that men have it better than women do in the human mating game.
I get annoyed when people say go see a therapist because it's not like a therapist can reset my life or have me start my life all over again.
I spoke in a few other guys who feel the same way in regards to being forever angry and upset, sad, over never having had a girlfriend until later than normal, until late in life.
Probably because guys and men to learn and know all of these skills, all of these social behaviors, talk and behave a certain way, act a certain way, walk a certain way or have a certain lifestyle, have a certain body, certain income, and more than that which I either don't know or forgot.
Women are pretty much basically all set for just being born and just existing.
Because being pretty and beautiful is not a skill and it doesn't require any learning, it's not a behavior that takes training.
It just really feels me with anger and rage whenever people and Society have the mindset or still think men have it better than women do in dating or just human mating in general.
I'll never forget what one guy said and this only added fuel to fire in regards to my anger and rage about the cards on dealt with for being born male.
"Boo fucking hoo. We also don't have to go through child birth and we're strong as fuck. Testosterone gives us ambition + mental and physical strength that MANY (not all) women are lacking. Being a man has many benefits and with great power comes great responsibility. Stop crying about it and get your fucking shit together"
Let's just say that pissed me off even further, got me so mad, that its no appropriate for me to say what was going through my mind when i read that comment that pissed me off even further.
Yes I know there's no such thing as fairness but I'm not afraid to admit that over the years in my life I've hated being born a guy or I just feel that it is unfair being born a man. Yes I'm aware there's no such thing as fairness, I just get very angry and enraged whenever people and Society still think men have it better than women do.
I know I'm not alone in thinking this way in which I have the mindset in which I feel that if I was born a woman I would not have been alone or single that long.
I like to think this way and I know that a lot of people agree with this and that is being born a woman basically guarantees you will always have options because you are on the receiving end of sexual attention just for being born a woman because it's often said that women are in abundance by default but men are in scarcity by default because for all time women are the ones that get pursued and hit on or sought after or get advances made on them and when you are in that position it basically means you are simply by default attractive to the other sex.
I'll never get over it and I will be angry and upset and bitter and resentful that I was a late bloomer for the rest of my life I know I will never get over this.
I get very angry and pissed off whenever people still think men have it better than women do, especially in dating.
Even Tripp Advice says "
Men by default or men are naturally in scarcity when it comes to women, but it's the opposite for women when it comes to men".
I agree with that because women by default or are naturally an abundance by default because for all time when you are on the receiving end of sexual attention or when you are the gender that gets propositioned or pursued and hit on or approached and gets advances made on you or has the opposite sex bombarding your DMs or swiping on you in the masses.

Funnily enough, just last week I was in a store and I really wanted to talk to this woman I saw, I found perfect excuse at the till as she dropped her bag and I helped pick it up for her (her hands were full of other bags). Was in Vancouver a few weeks ago, that bridge has been tagged more than some of the women I have recently met. I wait for a smile a or a wave to eliminate the don’t come near me phase. There are not that many smart and attractive women with a sense of humor, all requirements. There are only douchebags in sex museums, the resultant contemporary meaning is smileworthy. I was reading a book with JP approached me. If he was worried about bothering me, we'd never have met. But if you're terrified, that'll come across. Instead, start by simply smiling at women. Start where you are and work on getting to the next level. Women don't approach men because, as mentioned in the video (watch again), women prefer men who are brave, approaching a woman takes courage; and because women are more influenced by personality than looks (biologically, it's the other way around for men), so if she approaches and find out she doesn't like his personality it's doubly awkward to then reject him. But mostly #1 and that's not going to change.

I can talk to women, but I have never found any meaningful relationship in such a way. Beautiful looks doesn't match the character. Yeah, but go chatting and no pressure.
So some guy gets up and thinks "My lucky day - it's my weekend, it's January, the river's up in the brush & almost clear." He zips off to his favorite steelhead drift - the one under the bridge.
He parks the truck, scrambles down the steep muddy trail, looks around & sees an attractive redhead making a video right where you would ruin it it if you tried to fish there.
He stops, sits on a rock and checks out the show.. He sees she's making a dating coach video. He fishes a notepad & pen out of his vest and starts to take notes. After she's done he walks up & says "hi I'm Melvin Flobbert looks like you could use a warm cuppa go juice - the trucker place up the road always has good fresh stuff - btw I liked your vid do you post these somewhere?" Fast forward they go have some coffee and he gets the digits, then goes back & catches a big bright steelhead.
Then he wakes up...

If it's her BF or husband, approaching is a douchebag move. (Sorry players.) In my opinion, and this is just my opinion, the safest bet is to compliment the guy, "Is this your lady? You're a lucky man." Saves you from getting clocked and allows him to tell you if she's just a friend or sister etc. You can also gauge her reaction to see if she's put off or flattered. If anyone has any other ethical suggestions, please share 'em!

Appreciate the video, unfortunately for a guy like me I suffer from anxiety disorder so these situations I'd most likely get at least a mini anxiety attack. It's one reason why i stopped trying I admit. Appreciate the video though as always.🙂
The physiological sigh is specifically for anxiety. (I used to have it, too.) Challenge yourself in other areas that are manageable or try online dating. If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you always got. So either be brave and step out of your comfort zone *where it's manageable* or surrender and accept what you have, whichever is best for you. :)

For me I did used to try online dating years back on 4 different sties, I either hardly got responses or would get some but ghosted, randomly blocked or at best make a few friends that added me to their FB. The rest just played games, the thing I learned about online dating specifically is women treat it like shopping for shoes. They may grab 10 different pairs that look interesting but then they know they can't afford all 10 pairs so they narrow it down, and use the process of elimination down to 2 then they pick one. The rest get the shaft. This is what I believe women do with online dating so I gave that option up years ago.
For in person, while I admit to trying less I've always either gotten turned down or in a few cases got a few numbers but one girl had like 10 other guy friends, red flag and a BF but she told me flat out "she didn't care she hangs with who she wants" so that actually turned me off from hanging with that girl and another who wouldn't give me her number but gave me her myspace and snapchat... at the time. The rest pretty much came to me were the aggressor which was like 2 in like 20 years of jobs, events, leagues etc.
I am not sure God wants me to be with someone to be honest but I appreciate the advice. I'm trying to be happy in other ways since dating feels nearly impossible now especially for someone in particular situation.

This is one of a few places known as "the salmon capital of the world." Great for fly fishing!
I really like fly fishing for winter steel head and salmon. I also like to summer fish for grayling . Canada has the most beautiful rivers and lakes and I've really enjoyed fishing on some of them. The hospitality of the locals is also fantastic . I'd like to go back up there someday and learn some of the newer fly fishing and center-pin tactics of the BC locals . I'm really interested in this center-pin casting style called B.C. swing Thanks for showing some beautiful water backgrounds once in a while; it brings back fond memories of my times spent fishing there .
