GemsOnVHS Dear lord, why isn't this on Spotify yet? In fact it doesn't seem to be available anywhere. The link you posted does not go to this song. Why?
Spotify doesn't pay artists enough to live on. She is working class - not rich, so the songs on bandcamp are what she has been able to record thus far. Thank you for listening!
This version is so much better than the new album version. I think she’s at her best live and acoustic, either by herself or with a couple of other players. She doesn’t need fancy production.
It's so much more authentic/raw. Hearing the foot tapping, the slight echo in the barn. Just really beautiful. the album is very polished, but I love me some Ferrell so 🤷♀️
I agree that she is a incredibly gifted and powerful performer. I've seen her live 3 times and each time I've seen her has been better than the time before. But her album is truly remarkable too. So much variety and musicianship and partnerships with some really big names and talented musicians. The album should/ probably will take her even higher. West Virginia Waltz, Silver Dollar and Far Across the Sea were particularly amazing recordings. All good live too, but I think these in particular show she can prove something in the recording studio too. Go see her now while her tickets are still 20 bucks!

Thank you for the effort you make to bring us these gems Anthony.
And Sierra, you are wonderful.
brendon leary it wasn't the Millenials who ruined Country, it was the George Strait, Garth Brooks, and Alan Jackson generation that ruined it. They opened the flood gates for trash country, while simotaniously slamming the door of old/outlaw country.
She has a golden era voice, classic and pure like a fine bottle of old-world, natural, organic, hand made Zinfandel. I voted with a contribution/donation to this channel - if you can, i encourage you all to do what you can.
david volosen couldn’t be more correct
I love your comment.
@@shoban The picking is very reminiscent of Maybelle Carter (The Carter Family), which was 1930s, but this lovely artist has put a bit of a modern twist on it.
I've never been more excited to hit the replay symbol for ten minutes or more. I get goosebumps every single time
Still comeback to this song, the way she sings it is just so homey.
“I got goosebumps on that one”. Me too Sierra... me too.
It’s like she’s singing it to me. What a song and the pipes on that girl are out of sight. Just wow.
I just came back here after watching her recent tiny desk video and I shed a quick tear seeing how much she's grown as an artist in all the senses, girl deserves the hell out of it
I love when you hear a song for the first time and it makes you stop dead, this did it for me .
She, (Sierra) stayed over at my apartment in Olympia a few years ago. And she gave me a cute feathered hair pin I believe she made. Rip to the friend who introduced us (Cash). 🤙
Unreal voice. She is just amazing
First time hearing her voice and it brought tears to my eyes.
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful
Been waiting an age for this to turn up on Spotify. Now it is, but the studio version sounds like something I would have totally passed over. This live version however stopped me in my tracks and I keep coming back to it, it's so charming and her voice and guitar(s) is all we need.
This song is so beautiful. Brings me to tears
Just discovered her and this song. I thought it was an old song from the 1930s. It's so pretty.
I don’t listen to this song all the time, but when I do I have to replay it over and over again, sheesh.
im six years late she blows me away love this girl.
this live version is just the BEST ever omg
Today I was at a music festival where she ended her set with this. I had never heard of her before but I will never forget her. Her and her bandmates were absolutely f****** incredible. Her stage presence, her talent, her dedication to her craft, along with the three guys who were with her, wow. Just wow
I love this song so much❤ she is a magical human! I can never get this recording out of my head. All the reworked versions she has made just don't feel the same to me
Wish the albums were more like this
I've had this on repeat for the past week straight. I'm mesmerized by both her voice and her lyrics💕
Yet again, Gems has introduced me to another diamond💖
I have listened to this over and over. I too am amazed by vocals and lyrics
Yess miss ma'am. Easy to get stuck on the tunes of hers
I can't get enough either........and I'm a metal fan.
What a good singer are U. I had the pleasure to hear U for the first time; thanks to the algorithm of youtube on "I dont want UR silver dollar" . This
algorithm give me the way to this song. Thanks to it ! What a honey for my ears. I hope that I will be able to see/hear others songs !
Thanks from France.
I got goosebumps too. I love this song. Sierra, you are a real gem. Stay gold.
this song gives me hope, even if it's foolish hope. Love ya, Sierra, and thanks for encapsulating all that longing and beauty (that still exists, despite the longing) in this song
That is one of the greatest songs!!! So different yet seams so familiar!!
So glad old fashion music is still alive !
Those little glances at the camera say so so much! I’m crazy about this gal! All the musicians she plays with are exceptional in their own right. I got goose bumps too🥹
