I remember first time I stumbled on this channel, it got only about 20k+ subscribers. you've come a long way. you deserved all this love. continue what you are doing, you are a blessing to the cpap community.
I went from a 6 year user or the f20 to the f40 last week. Personally I’m loving it. It’s so nice to be able to watch tv or read without something in my way. I find it must more comfortable and the seals great so far very little air leak. Guess I just have the right size nose and face for this f40 I’m very happy with it.
I'm new to the CPAP world. I'm waiting on insurance to approve. This channel has been extremely helpful in teaching me what to expect. Very thankful to have found this channel. I can't wait to get started. The night of my titration part if the sleep study when I woke up I ha e never felt better in my life. I can't wait to feel good and actually have energy and clarity. Especially dealing with mental health. Again thank you
Love the F40. Went from the F20 to the F40 and the medium is a perfect fit. Only down side for me is the short length of tubing on the mask. Had my tube management with the F20 set up perfectly. Then came along a cute little section of tube with swivels on each end. What a package. A full week of trying to manage the extra length of tubing, I think I may have it so I can live with things. Thanks for the review Uncle N.
If Resmed brought out the F30i head gear but with a F40 above nose like full face, I will be set. My dream scenario. Of cause no head gear would be better. Would have loved to see the F20 full face with the cusion foam mask and not the silicon done with a full Ned Kelly beard test. Thanks Uncle Nicko for the excellent video analisys once again mate. Three thumbs up!
Thank you buddy! Yeah i'll put together a full beard review shortly. I had a lot of fun with that and it was certainly interesting as they all felt very similar but clearly a big difference in the actual data. Cheers
Have the Evora FF and I had always pain because it lies on my under lip and press against my teeth’s. The F40 fits perfectly and I have no problems anymore
I am a new CPAP user, started with about a month of using a p10 style nasal pillow mask (Rio II). When I switched to the F40, my numbers improved drastically across the board and I generally wake up feeling so much better. I'm loving it so far, but my experience is limited with only a couple masks, and only using cpap for a couple of months.
My problem is I have just received my F40 mask and discovered it doesn't fit my heated air hose. I have bought another hose and what a difference a new mask is. No mouth leaks but I keep feeling I am not getting enough air. However I did sleep for 6 hours straight , amazing!
I love the F40, and will not go back. I have a full beard, sleep on my side and back, and I found out I occasionally breathe thru my mouth. Perfect fit, great sleep.
I have a full beard like you. The only way to keep from getting leaks around my mouth is to really tighten it, but then I wake up in the morning with my lower gums and teeth aching a bit. What am I doing wrong, bearded bro?
I wanted to love this mask based on your earlier review - but the leaks got so loud - farting sounds - that had me re-adjusting the mask until I got a headache. If you had a cure for this, I would love it again! Thanks for all your videos, as a less-than 3-month Cpap wearer, I have learned a lot from you. This F40 review made sense to me...will actually look at that Evora Full mask. Thank you.
@@CPAPReviews thanks - just read the reviews on Amazon - and I don't think I'm going to try this one yet. I did order the Evora Full Face mask that had something like 18% less leaks than the F40 leak rate. Even my F20 doesn't leak as much as the F40. One question - my pressures go up early in the morning (like 3:00 am) and that's about when my leaks really start to happen. Do you have any idea why that is? And my APNEA is classified as mild, but I have some hypoxia that my doc thinks the CPAP will resolve. So why is the pressure going up so high? Thank you for your work and time...Breathless in Colorado 😀
The good news is that the replacement masks for the F40 come with new filter rings, and in the US Medicare covers a new mask monthly. So not likely to get into mold problems unless not drying between cleanings. I plan to soak in diluted vinegar weekly just to be sure.
I stated CPAP 4 months ago..I couldn't get any sleep until this mask came out; previously tried using the F30i and F20. Mask Seal is great, still holding up after 7 weeks. The F30i lost its shape after 3 weeks...I guess everyone's face is different. The one thing that annoys about this mask is the humidity build up around my nose.
I was one who preferred the F30 over the F40. My choice was based on results from a 20 day study...10 nights on the f30 and 10 nights on the f40. The average AHI for the f30 was 5.1, while the f40 average came in at 7.5. Leakage was poor on both with the f30 leakage average 50 liters per minute while the f40 leakage average was 57 liters per minute. I average 4 liters per minute on the f20. One variable that may affect ones preference is the therapy pressure set point. My bi-level settings were 16/10 so I suspect a lower pressure setting could improve leakage and change my data to support a different conclusion on which mask does better for me. I started another 20 day study with a pressure setting of 14/10. It was interesting to note my first data point for the f30 showed a leakage of zero and a respectable AHI of 5. We'll see what the average is after 10 days, and the repeat for the f40. It is conceivable the f40 could win out with a lower pressure setting.
Great stuff Mike, The AHI might have been slightly higher with the F40 because of the higher leak and also the small flexi-tube which results in a slight drop in pressure (unless you change the mask setting to pillows). Have you seen the SleepHQ weekly report? It's pretty epic and very useful for doing tests like those you mentioned. Cheers
P10 - Woke up during the night to find the tube wrapped around my neck (from me tossing and turning). Went back to old mask until i could get another one
I gave the F40 a try, but I ended up going back to my old F10 for two reasons. First, I have been under treatment for insomnia and the docs said any major change in my sleep habits could be bad, and when I tried to switch to the F40 my sleep patterns were affected so I packed it up to save it for another day. Second reason, is the irritation it causes under the nose. I just couldn't get past that. So I continued with my F10 and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. That said, I will say the F40 was more comfortable, though I still don't like the magnets. It sealed really well too, and I didn't miss having a mask that went over the bridge of my nose. If it wasn't for the irritation it caused I would probably look to start using it after my treatment ends and I have some stability in my sleep patterns.
I switched to the AirFit F40 which has individual sized headgear from the AirFit F30, which has universal headgear, ResMed provides no direction as to which headgear size might be appropriate for the F40, and I started with the standard headgear, only to find that I had to adjust it to the maximum extent to get a good seal, I realised that I needed the small headgear, and the smaller headgear not only provided a better fit, but should allow for longer usage as the headgear stretches out. Second, I wanted to note that initially I over adjusted the headgear only to find that leakage was higher and this also caused friction against the bottom of the nose causing irritation. My advice is to not over tighten the headgear, that the F40 can provide a good seal with less static pressure, likely due to the more flexible cushion.
Wonderful advice! Thank you for sharing. I also found it very strange that there is absolutely no info on the headgear sizing? It should be like buying a hat online ie - Fits heads 55-60cm . It's also disappointing that you can only order the small headgear with the medium cushion. This is typical ResMed though. With F&P they'll give you ever size cushion in the pack. Cheers
Most cpap clinics have a mask exchange program these days so even if wasn't suitable you could always just swap it over for another F20. If you have high pressure requirements then you will likely find the F20 more suitable for your needs but i'd personally give the F40 a try because if it does seal you'll likely prefer sleeping with it compared with the bulky f40
If air goes back through the exhalation vent 13:30 then that means there is a vacuum of pressure in the tube, yeah? But they are positive constantly, i thought ... 🤔
Yeah that's correct, when the machine is on very little air flows back through the holes but it's before or after therapy when the airflow drops that people can be exposed. Either way, i can't imagine too many people would enjoy having a mask looking like that close to their nose. Cheers
This video was perfect! I've just ordered an F40 as I experience quite a bit of leak from the F20 and I also dislike the F20 being so big on my face. Obviously everyone has different sized faces, nose sizes, facial hair, etc but I'm pleased to see that the majority of people liked the F40 and I'm just praying mine works out for me!
@@Johndada517 oh no well that doesn’t sound good. I think it’s arriving tomorrow so hopefully it’s not £135 wasted. Will report back here once I’ve had chance to test it out. Hopefully it’s better suited to my face shape.
I was considering purchasing the F40 until my health provider supplied me with a Philips Dreamwear Responics Nasal Pillows. It’s the best one I have tried yet.
I’m a F&P Evora user. I love the Evora but HATE the exhalation port (F&P, if you’re snooping 👀 show a sign). I caved sooner than I expected in trying out the f40. I initially wanted to see a few months worth of feedback first. Since I became eligible to replace my headgear in June, I opted to go for it. Before ordering, I printed a copy of Resmed’s f40 sizing template and determined that the SW cushion was the perfect size for me (my nose is a little flat and wide.). I can’t understand why Resmed does not offer a fit pack for this mask. I also chose the standard head gear (I do have an average sized head). Anywho, upon receipt of the new mask, I was perplexed because among the contents was a sizing template. Why??? I needed a fit pack not a template I already have a copy of. 🤔. Well, I used the new template anyway 😐 to confirm again that I had ordered the correct sized cushion. The sizing was good with a midget of room to spare. Hours before going to bed I changed my AS 11 mask type to pillow, tried the mask on, and even reviewed Resmed’s and a few other RUclips videos on sizing and fit. I did note that the cushion nostril hole lined up perfectly with my nostrils. However, what did bother me was unlike other Resmed and the Evora hybrid masks, when placing the cushion under my nose, it did not cradle my nose as well. I used the mask for a solid week and every night i was in a constant battle with mask leakage around my nose. I often woke up with my eyes glued shut because the cushion kept losing its seal around my nose. Every morning I noticed my events numbers increased as well and I was using more tank water. I did change the cushion type back to full face during the week, but there was no difference. I love the f40’s exhalation port, the lightness of the mask and its smaller foot print, but I refuse to spend $54 to to see if for the heck of it if the large cushion would have been a better fit with little difference in the line up of the nostril hole. I’m doubting it, so week 2 I’m back to my Evora.
My F40 leak was around my mouth, not my nose. It took me several weeks of use before I got a consistent acceptable level of leakage. I stayed with it because of how comfortable and quiet it was. Bonus! My nasal congestion was eliminated on most nights. I would use a nasal splint like Nasal Mutes. This mask keeps my nose open, allowing me to ditch the nasal mutes and sprays. Oh, Nick! I lowered my exhalation relief setting (less pressure drop), and my central apnea dropped to 1 or so. It had crept up to five over the last six months.
Thanks for insights my friend. Was there anything special you did to get the leaks down or did you just learn how to adjust it / fit it correctly? Cheers
@@CPAPReviews I usually have this leak problem with my other masks, just a little more so with the F40. Using the hose buddy helped take some pressure off the headgear. I also tightened the straps a little more than needed for the pressure. I move around a lot and am always surprised where I wake up in bed. The point I want to make is that because of this mask design, I can use tighter strap tension without any pain to my nose. Previous hybrids were more difficult to correct leaks for me, causing me to give up on them. In tolerance leaks and all, I love this new mask.
thanks buddy, nah i don't know but it's normally not a long wait. You Aussies need to broaden your horizon! You can buy it in the U.S and probably have it here faster and cheaper then buying it locally. Cheers
Thanks again Uncle Nicko for the information. I really enjoy seeing your unbiased opinion/comparison/tests. This is a great service to us CPAP users. The only mask I have used is the ResMed AirTouch F20 Full face and it has always worked well for me. I won't be changing but I like seeing the options.
Thanks legend, i'm glad you enjoyed the video and i appreciate the support. it's interesting you mentioned the 'AirTouch' as i hadn't really considered this being a factor as to why many F20 users reverted back after trying the F40. I'd love to see a hybrid AirTouch f40! That would be awesome. Cheers
The question, "will you continue to use the F40 or change back..." is two questions in one. You can stop using it and try a different mask, stop therapy completely, etc.
While my new F40 is being mailed to me as I write this, I am starting to question the fit. I have been using the F20, and I like that it has the super soft foam around the mask, whereas the F40 will be straight silicone on my skin. I sleep hot, and the last thing I want is to be sweating. Luckily for me, these supplies are covered under my insurance every 90 days so we shall see.
Good to be in the UK as I get everything from the machine and any replacements for free. Mask exchanged every 6 months. Good old free Healthcare! Plus I’m military so that may help also. 😱
I started w f30i, moved to evora when it came out. I have been using f40 for about a month now. I love how soft the f40 feels but it sits closer to mouth and if I push top strap lower on cheeks, I get better airflow. I also like the rotating connector on f40. Not sure if I will stay with 40 or go back.
I went from the F20 to the P10 nasal pillows, because the P10 uses one strap and allowed me to scratch my mouth and nose without breaking the seal. I then went to the F40 and really wanted to like it but I can't scratch my mouth without breaking the seal and it uses a lot of straps like the F20. Now I'm back using the nasal pillows. But I'm really bothered that those other masks have filter material that can grow mold in them.
Yeah I went into CPAP Direct in Ballarat yesterday and tried it, absolutely hopeless for leaks at anything above a pressure of 10, certainly couldn't recommend it to anyone on pressure above 10 anyhow. Just replaced my Airtouch F 20 with a new one, decent deal with the 3 extra cushions in the $179 deal.
Just got diagnosed and next Tuesday and I will have my first appointment to get my first CPAP with a nose mask (not sure which one) measured to my needs. Are there any questions and requests I should be asking in order to start my first experience properly ? And what should I make sure to check ? (normally a side sleeper but moving a lot during my sleep, including sleepwalking when stressed)
Hi a question. When I fill up my water tank is that water level supposed to go down by the time I wake up? Sometimes I notice when I wake up the water is at the same level as it was when I filled it up at night! Thanks 🙏
it depends on the humidifier settings and also the ambient humidity level but yes, the idea is the water turns to vapour and the water level drops. Cheers
Could the higher leak rate of the F30i be due to the additional vent holes in the elbow at the top of the frame? Would you get a better baseline leak rate for each mask if you first measured leak with the mask taped to some plastic to seal off the mouth and nasal interface?
I just got back from a trip the US where I brought the F40. I’ve been using the N20 mask as the pillows masks tended to give me sore nostrils. With the N20 I have had a few dry mouth issues so was keen to try the F40. Have found it very good although getting a little soreness in the nostrils on occasion. Will stick with it. Overall it’s the best I’ve tried. The N20 is great but the air stream coming from the tube elbow can be annoying to my partner
I have returned... with some so-so news. Why can't I control the mouth leak?? I have the F&P Evora Full and it was okay but I mainly stuck with the Resmed P10 and tape my mouth. The F40 I want to work so much but I just can't seem to control the leak! When I go to bed it fits like a glove, straps are tight but not too tight, I move my head around to test it out, seems good to go. But then at 3am I wake up and my machine is out of water and is giving me the 👿face, at which point I switch to the P10 or Nova Micro. I'm at odds at what I could be doing wrong, I don't want to give up but tonight will be night 5. I'll give it a week, because I generally don't feel too bad tired-wise, AHI is low, sleep quality is decent. Sorry for the paragraph homie! Out of curiosity which mask do you wear with that luscious beard you got going on?
Nick Have you done a Review on new Updated Nasal Pillows, I have resmed 10. I hate the full face mask, howerever My nasal mask keeps leeking, and looking to up grade , I have a small nose. Looking forward hearing from you. Thankyou for sharing it save us lot money. Hope you little one is growing into beautiful bub. take care💘💘👍👍👍👍👍
I got my F40 shortly after release, I tried it with a couple different sizes masks, gave it a couple weeks. Consistently had higher AHI's with it, and alsept worse. Now it gathers dust at the bottom of my drawer; All around, It's my least favorite mask of all I own. Of all this, what amazes me, is how many people actually like this thing!
Thank you for sharing your feedback. Sorry it didn't work out for you. It's very much one of those masks that people either love or hate. I love the design personally and it fits my nose and face very well.
Best decision I made trying it out! The most comfortable (or least uncomfortable) - I noticed an immediate reduction in my neck pain using this mask. Seal still needs a little work but I'm happy.
I live in Canada, so how can I get one? I was thinking of the solo but I don’t know how to get one. Can you tell me I would really appreciate your help nose is stuffed up. I’m trying to find something that will Fit me right I was hoping to get a solo mask. How can I get it here Canada again sorry Nick I know you’re a busy man.
i am a f30i user . i tried the f40 in both Pillow and full face mask setting . i find Pillow setting too strong as a result my throat feels dry and i have big tonsils thus making it feel worse . While as compared to the full face mask setting its less dry and more comfortable AHI dropped but its still not the best , if only i can make the setting even softer . Anyone experienced this before ? the mask is super light weight and it can avoid the lining on the top of my head as compared to F30i
I got my 1st machine 7 days ago, an air senses auto 10 and F40, I'm struggling with this mask, don't think I need anything covering my mouth as i'm a nose breather and this is waking me up with air blowing into my mouth like a puffer fish. It's like i'm fighting against the air to breathe. I might try some version of a nose only one from resmed to see if it works better for me. Should I be looking at at p30 or n30 maybe, I'm a side sleeper who swaps sides, they've also a mirage or a swift, it's all confusing for a noob.
I wanted to love it but it kept leaking on the ends of my lips and I went back to my old mask f20, which leaks but it's a lot less. I have purchased the f&p nasal pillow and I'm going to tape my mouth see if it's better I'm new n have 3ish months and I have tried other mask and I can't get a good sleep because the air leak wakes me up. I only went back to f20 just because it leaks less but f40 is a lot more comfortable.
One other thing you didn't mention is that the f20 has a version that is memory foam instead of silicon that is one reason I would still prefer and don't try anything that's silicon
I loved the Evora and was planning to stick with it, but I did have what I thought was a high leak rate around 25. Switched to the F&P Solo and leak rate dropped to 14. I love the solo, but want to purchase a full face for those times I have the flu or blocked nose, whatever. Not sure I'm convinced about the F40. The evora was pretty good.
@@CPAPReviews I loved the Evora for comfort and ease of use but it did leak more than the Solo. I have current leak rate of around 10 with the Solo and it was over twice that with the Evora.
That is a confusing question “will you continue to use the F40 or change back to your previous mask?” What if people said yes they will change back? I am confused haha.
You're right! Each question had very detailed instructions though "If you continue to use your F40 choose yes, if you are switching back to your old mask choose no" Cheers
I'm currently using a P10 but suffer from high leak rates (mouth leak). Would the F40 be a good choice for a high pressure user? Currently need pressures of 18+.
Nah but i think it would be worth trying a nasal style like a N20 and switching to a 19mm tube with the mask setting on full face. You'll find the air velocity much smoother. Cheers
It's always best to get fitted in a clinic but if you can't make it to one then the next best option is the size guide - document.resmed.com/en-us/documents/products/mask/airfit-f40/fitting+guide/1036420_airfit-f40_fitting-template_glo_eng_digital_inch.pdf
I use the foam full face masks at the moment. How does this one deal with facial hair? IM surprised with the amount you have, that you dont get alot of leaking. Anyone with facial hair have experience with this? Is there a foam version of this mask?
How did the quiet elbow and nasal mould and dirt traps get passed by the therapeutic goods administration ? Disgusting. There’s a lot of people that have asthma or COPD. Just disgusting.
I started to use two filter plates with the AirFit N30i. This way I can soak them in bleach over night once a week and let them dry after rinsing them off. Switching between them. The black mould spots are gone after that. Soaking in 70 % alcohol didn’t work.
@@ich8159 the normal resmed elbow lasts years unless you accidentally break it. It’s pretty quiet anyway. Also in Australia we just replace seperate cushions and mask parts when they wear out coz we have to pay for it ourselves. Resmed however always sends masks out with the quiet elbow now instead of the regular one stupidly thinking in Australia they replace them regularly.
@@GuitarbarellaIt would be great if they would sell parts in Europe as well, but unfortunately here they only sell the whole mask (cushion, frame, headgear, elbow connector). I saw parts being sold on Amazon US, but it would be too expensive to have them shipped to Europe. I think what you said explains it. In Australia they sell parts, because people pay for them themselves / directly and in Europe they don’t, because health insurance covers it / it’s been prescribed… Not really sustainable unfortunately.
Question about filters and dirt/mold accumulation. You mentioned that when breathing in, some of the air comes in through the filter. That suggests to me that the CPAP machine does not always deliver air fast enough to meet the inhalation needs. If it did deliver as fast as or faster than the lungs were inhaling, the pressure differential would mean no air being drawn in through the exhalation holes. Has it been confirmed that is the case?
If the machine is on then it’s unlikely the air flows back through the filter however most people will put on the mask prior to starting therapy and some will also stop therapy prior to removing the mask. Regardless, i can’t imagine too many cpap users would be comfortable wearing with a dirty, moldy mask 🤙🍻
It's a very good point! It's not shown in the video but each question had 'instructions' below them :-). I have however updated the question just to make it more clear for respondents. Cheers
bro, I'm not trying to be a stickler but your question at 1:02 isn't really a yes/no answer haha... some ppl could've said "yes" to switching back to old mask, or "no" to not switching to old mask btw my F40 came in the mail today and I'm hella stoked to try it

Thank you buddy! Yeah i'll put together a full beard review shortly. I had a lot of fun with that and it was certainly interesting as they all felt very similar but clearly a big difference in the actual data. Cheers

Thanks for sharing your experience brother. Appreciate it
My problem is I have just received my F40 mask and discovered it doesn't fit my heated air hose.
@@johnforkner Thank you. That is what I had to do was tighten the bottom strap. Have a great day.
Thank you.
Hey, have you tried V-com before? For $25 it can be a game changer for many 🍻🤙
@@CPAPReviews thanks - just read the reviews on Amazon - and I don't think I'm going to try this one yet.
The pressure will be increasing due to REM Sleep :-). Not much you can do about it but try and stay off your back as much as you can. Cheers
you’re the first person to explain that to me. Brilliant! I always sleep my side. Especially because I can seem to close the leak off that way.
The good news is that the replacement masks for the F40 come with new filter rings, and in the US Medicare covers a new mask monthly. So not likely to get into mold problems unless not drying between cleanings. I plan to soak in diluted vinegar weekly just to be sure.
That’s what I was thinking about doing too.
Thank you for the detailed insights. Much appreciated. Cheers
Should get a 'hose lift' mate. Best $20 you'll ever spend. Cheers
The comparative Leak Rate was especially significant. I prefer the Evora full over the F40 because of the good seal throughout the whole night. 😴
Appreciate that feedback mate! Cheers
I had so much noise out of the leaks from the F40 - is I just ordered the Evora...good luck to both of us!
Thank you for the great insights mate. Nasal irritation was a common feedback in the survey results. Cheers and good luck with your insomnia
@@CPAPReviews Thanks. I really want to make the F40 work, so (I hope) after my treatment ends and the insomnia is stablized I'll be able to give a go.
Cheers
I was considering going from the F20 to the F40. This makes me want to reconsider
If you get alot from the 20 your gonna get more from the 40 it's terrible
@@Johndada517 oh no well that doesn’t sound good. I think it’s arriving tomorrow so hopefully it’s not £135 wasted. Will report back here once I’ve had chance to test it out. Hopefully it’s better suited to my face shape.
@afinney88 it's still always good to try every mask you can tbh that way eventually you'll find one and fall in love and sleep like a baby
I was considering purchasing the F40 until my health provider supplied me with a Philips Dreamwear Responics Nasal Pillows. It’s the best one I have tried yet.
Nice one. Unfortunately Philips is evil so we don't really discuss their equipment on this channel. Cheers
@@CPAPReviews sorry I didn’t know that. Thank you as always for your kind support to us all.
Quality reviews per usual Uncle Nicko. Many thanks. Any idea when the F40 will be available in Australia?
thanks buddy, nah i don't know but it's normally not a long wait.
That mask is absolutely a game changer for me! I luv luv luv it. I sleep better than ever! Better than my trusty P10
Wow, thanks for sharing your feedback! I guess there are some P10 users making the switch after all :)
@@CPAPReviews The F40 needs to have a snug fit for it to perform.
I finally found the mask that works for me. Bleep Eclipse. Thank you as I found it thanks to your channel.
Glad I could help mate. I'm a big fan of that one also!
I’m sticking with the air touch until another mask with memory foam comes out. Silicone directly on my face takes a layer of skin off every night.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. I do like the AirTouch cushions
Maybe it is very silly question, but haw can you buy it from Australia? I've tried Sleeplay but always asking me for US address
Check out MyUS.com mate, i teach people in the SleepHQ pro community how to import stuff. Cheers
Can you compare the p10 and f&p solo?
While my new F40 is being mailed to me as I write this, I am starting to question the fit. I have been using the F20, and I like that it has the super soft foam around the mask, whereas the F40 will be straight silicone on my skin. I sleep hot, and the last thing I want is to be sweating. Luckily for me, these supplies are covered under my insurance every 90 days so we shall see.
I'm looking forwarded to hearing your feedback after you try it. Good luck!
My f40 is NOT quiet at all. The air outtake at the vents in front is huge
Good to be in the UK as I get everything from the machine and any replacements for free. Mask exchanged every 6 months.
Good old free Healthcare! Plus I’m military so that may help also. 😱
I’m nhs uk too but they told me they weren’t supplying the F40 yet.
@@MaggiePink-cs7gbYeah Maggie I had the same issue. I think my one just has the full face in and one nose one at the moment… 😮
Thanks for sharing your experience. Much appreciated. Cheers
Could spray vinegar on the filter material, it is brilliant at killing mold.
The f40 is my first mask ever. I don't know if it's better or worse but I really like it.
Great to hear it John. That’s all that matters buddy 🤙🍻
With my experience after trying so many masks I find nothing seals like the F20 with the memory cushions not even close
Appreciate the feedback buddy. Sorry to hear it didn’t work out. Cheers 🍻
Cheers
@@CPAPReviews if I’m using my ac now because of summer. What do you recommend I set my humidity level at? or estimate
Thanks for the great info buddy. Cheers
Who was using the Philips DreamWear mask, loved it, then swapped to the Airfit F40 and prefers it? I tried the Airfit F30 and hated it.
Is the extra tube on the front of the mask a good thing or not good ? Is it better to have the heated climate tube all the way to the mask ? Hmm
Does anyone know when the F40 is coming to Canada? Why is it not here already?

Looking forward hearing from you. Thankyou for sharing it save us lot money. Hope you little one is growing into beautiful bub. take care💘💘👍👍👍👍👍
How is the nosepiece compared to the F30i? No size of the latter fits me well, so if it is the same, I do not need to try.
I recently got the F20 mask then I seen this F40 mask & want it to, should I wait or have both and just rotate masks some nights 🌙 🤔 🙃
switched back to P30i. Just dont like a full face mask. I had seal issues around the mouth with medium and large
Cheers for sharing your feedback mate, sorry it didn't work out for you.
Do you know when f40 will be ready to purchase in Australia?
I don't unfortunately, but easy to import. Cheers
Best decision I made trying it out! The most comfortable (or least uncomfortable) - I noticed an immediate reduction in my neck pain using this mask. Seal still needs a little work but I'm happy.
That's really great to hear. Cheers
My worry with the f40 is does it compress the nostrils. The NHS only supplied a full face.
Hi, do you think this f40 is suitable for a woman with small nose?

Tried the f40 after 1 week had my under nose bleeding. Gong back the evora full.
Cheers Craig, do you think this was because you have to wear the F40 'tighter' to achieve a good seal? Or just the cushion design? Cheers
@@CPAPReviews actually could wear looser
i am a f30i user . i tried the f40 in both Pillow and full face mask setting . i find Pillow setting too strong as a result my throat feels dry and i have big tonsils thus making it feel worse . While as compared to the full face mask setting its less dry and more comfortable AHI dropped but its still not the best , if only i can make the setting even softer . Anyone experienced this before ? the mask is super light weight and it can avoid the lining on the top of my head as compared to F30i
Still would like to know if they’ll make it without magnets.
Yeah they will mate, they've just released a few 'non-magnetic' versions of other masks with magnets. Cheers
My new f20 is so grippy. I wish they had a lube? My old one is nice and broken in. Any ideas?
I got my 1st machine 7 days ago, an air senses auto 10 and F40, I'm struggling with this mask, don't think I need anything covering my mouth as i'm a nose breather and this is waking me up with air blowing into my mouth like a puffer fish. It's like i'm fighting against the air to breathe.
I might try some version of a nose only one from resmed to see if it works better for me.
Should I be looking at at p30 or n30 maybe, I'm a side sleeper who swaps sides, they've also a mirage or a swift, it's all confusing for a noob.
Greetings sir, do you think a F40i version might come out eventually ?
Yes i that seems to be the blueprint these days :)
Non replaceable filter material in the N30. I stopped using it for that reason.
Good luck buddy
what size mask are you using f40 I can not stop the leaks
Magnets are not good with ICD devices.
Isn’t Resmed an Australian company? Why don’t we have the F40 here in our country yet?
Founded in Australia but based in the U.S now
One other thing you didn't mention is that the f20 has a version that is memory foam instead of silicon that is one reason I would still prefer and don't try anything that's silicon
The air fit f20 versus the air touch f20
That’s a great point! Thanks for sharing 🤙🍻
Will this mask work with the air mini?
yes but you will need to purchase an adapter like this - cpap.review/airmini-adapter
Do you mean for leak?
@@CPAPReviews I loved the Evora for comfort and ease of use but it did leak more than the Solo. I have current leak rate of around 10 with the Solo and it was over twice that with the Evora.
Does the mask come with the hose?
Yes it comes with the short tube assembly. This connects to the your full size 6ft cpap tube that it does not come with. Cheers

Uncle Nicko Borg Down Under! 👍
Haha, you know it!
How did the quiet elbow and nasal mould and dirt traps get passed by the therapeutic goods administration ? Disgusting. There’s a lot of people that have asthma or COPD. Just disgusting.
I would say it comes down the 'replacement schedule' but i imagine there's thousands of people sleeping with very unhygienic cpap masks!
I started to use two filter plates with the AirFit N30i. This way I can soak them in bleach over night once a week and let them dry after rinsing them off. Switching between them. The black mould spots are gone after that. Soaking in 70 % alcohol didn’t work.
In Ireland we only get one mask a year… They should sell those separately as disposables.
In Australia they sell parts, because people pay for them themselves / directly and in Europe they don’t, because health insurance covers it / it’s been prescribed…
Not really sustainable unfortunately.
What size of AirFit40 did you get?
Both the Medium and Small-Wide work well for me but i prefer the small-wide cushion. Cheers
That mask looks like inspired in the alien facehugger to me.....

Cheers
bro, I'm not trying to be a stickler but your question at 1:02 isn't really a yes/no answer haha... some ppl could've said "yes" to switching back to old mask, or "no" to not switching to old mask
btw my F40 came in the mail today and I'm hella stoked to try it
You’re 100% correct. It’s not shown but each question did have some very specific instructions 👍 & examples
