I bought one based on this review. Switched from the P10. Have had the nova micro 2 nights now. It is much easier to breath out through and much quieter. Haven’t noticed the decrease in weight but it’s very comfortable and for me gives a much better seal than the P10. I was getting between 15-25 L/min leak with the P10 which has dropped to 1.2 last night. Haven’t had to adjust the mask all night which I was with the P10. Highly recommend trying it out.
I’m in the exact same boat. I love this mask. I actually bought this on a whim with the F40, in hopes that the F40 would be my new go-to, but this one has become a permanent staple. The odd leak but not nearly as many as the rest I’ve tried, the P10 being my 2nd most used mask. I don’t even use that one anymore.
Have the Nova micro and it’s a great mask. Quiet, comfortable, light, easily adjustable and easily cleanable. On a Resmed Auto 11, set on APAP, EPR of 1, pressure between 12 & 14, mouth taper and absolutely no leaks with this mask, side sleeper,AHI of 0 -0.4. Was using the Resmed N30 and never going back to it. Super stable mask and better sleep.
Cpap brings my father's blood sugar high ...when he doesn't use cpap my father's sugar is normal and when he use ....his sugar level borderline high...please make video on this ...please throw some lights on this please i am very disturb...please throw some light on it...i am very disturbed
Perhaps you can help me with a question. I have just completed my third year using a CPAP machine (ResMed 10). As I am an active sleeper, they set me up with a Philips Respironics DreamWisp mask with a nasal pillow which is again the only one I ever used. The heated hose hooks up on the top and is great as it will rotate 360 degrees. I checked out a different supplier and he gave me a ResMed AirFit N30i. Wow what a difference, it's like day and night as it's much more simple, same 360 connection on the top, noticeably lighter and the nose pillow fits gently but snug under your nose is is more comfortable and almost 0 leakage. Can you tell me why you do not like the N30 mask. Thanks, Brent
@@brentspurrell7989 This is probably more preference than anything else. What I aim for is good quality sleep coupled to minimal events, I found the the n30ii too bulky and went to the n30. The n30 works pretty well but I found that the width of the medium pillow would cause leaks a bit. I’m a side sleeper. Leaks lead to more events and wake me up. I also had some issues from cheek marks from the straps, probably had to tighten it down a bit too much. And the straps slipped up the back of my head too much. The Nova micro solves these problems for me. All you can do is try different masks to find what works for you for the best sleep while monitoring your events, adjusting variables as you go based on your needs. I also use a hose lift thingie to avoid wrestling with the hose.
I LOVE MY HANS SOLO MASK SO MUCH!!! Mine is the Nasal Cradle and it is fabulous! No leaks, very comfortable, and I find it quiet, but my settings are on my ASV (7 Insp Pressure / 4 Expiratory pressure). But I think it can variate if I need more air, it gives me more air
I live in the US and today I received my new Nova Micro mask. I know it's not available here in the US yet, but I managed to find a Canadian website that ships to the US. I also got it for CHEAP plus was able to use a discount code thanks to CPAP REVIEWS! So THANKS for the discount code!! I'll be trying this mask out tonight.... I normally use the N30 cushion mask, so we'll see how the nasal pillows work for me. I tried the P10 and wasn't a fan, so it's sitting in a bag as a backup emergency mask.
I used the Resmed AirFit P10 mask for several years with my AirSense 10 CPAP machine. I saw a video about F&P's Brevida pillow mask a couple of years ago and decided it give it a try with my AirSense 11 device. Was a game changer for me. I review my Resmed online report daily, and my leak rates were all over the place with the P10 mask. After switching to the Brevida mask, I have mostly 0 leak rates or a 1-2 at the highest! The P10 mask caused chafing on the inner sides of my nostrils. The Brevida mask feels more comfortable in my nose and doesn't chafe it at all. I don't see much of a difference with the new F&P mask to change from my Brevida.
I just started CPAP and this was the mask I was provided and I have found it really comfortable. I haven't tried any other masks so I have nothing to compare with but I've been happy with it (and my CPAP treatment overall)
I’m in the US but ordered one from a company in Canada (Air Voel). I love this and feel like it is at least equal to the P10. It is a bit louder than the P10 when the exhalation air blows on my pillow or sheets. The fit is fabulous, and doesn’t move one little bit! P10 leaves no lines on my face, but the Nova Micro does. When it comes to the US, I will definitely get some pillow refills to keep in my mask rotation. I hope it gets here soon as it was a splurge to order from Canada.
After watching your video I bought the Nova Micro. The first tests were not successful so I put it on the shelf. Then my full face mask membrane broke (Vitera) so I had no choice but to use the Nova Micro. After several successful hour-long daytime tests, I used it to sleep. Very successful. At the same time, I switched from auto CPAP mode to CPAP mode and titrated the pressure. The combination of CPAP mode plus the Nova Micro was and still is excellent several weeks later. Thanks.
As corporations sometimes do, before releasing a product in major world markets, they like to test products out in Australia first and get feedback, then fix any issues before release in the major markets. Also, I don't know if I am a stick in the mud, but I really like my existing F&P Eson 2 mask...
i think you might be onto something mate! Use the Aussies as the Guinea Pigs lol. Eson 2 is a great mask bro. They did have some issues with the forehead connection snapping but i think they resolved that. Cheers
Coincidentally, I just received my Micro mask and look forward to trying it tonight. I wish that a port-over-the-head mask as light as this were created.
I used the Micro on Friday night and I think I put it upside down, because the prongs were touching my nasal membranes and were pretty uncomfortable. I gave it another chance last night and ensured a correct position. I was pleasantly surprised to realize I fell asleep almost immediately and did not feel the mask most of the night. It does creep up the back of the head, but the nose piece remained on and didn't come off. I mostly sleep on my side and on early morning I flip on my stomach. It was nice not to feel a bulky strap against my face. My partner even said that the Micro looks "cute". 😊 ResMed bipap, heated tubing, no tank. Pressures 7-13
Hey Uncle Nico so I just talked with my F&P rep yesterday this is Erwin from Tennessee and I just saw my Resmed Rep today and apparently you and me are the only people in the world that identified the popping off Climateline issue with the Airsense 11's he even sent your video up the pipeline and nothing. But back to the Solo so I asked my Rep how come the Pillow version wasn't out yet in the US and basically FDA approval was what was holding it up and he mentioned 2 new masks were coming out which I guess 1 is the one your doing this video on and he was going to bring them for me to see mid September. Anyhow the Solo pillows just got the FDA approval so they will be released in the US within the next couple of weeks. Also he mentioned some new maybe Vent stuff. Anyhow don't be a stranger also I've been trying to purchase one of those Lowenstein Lena masks in the US for a patient would appreciate your help with that LOL
Hey bro, i highly doubt ResMed would ever acknowledge the issue. I had a feeling they'd change the vent on that mask and hopefully the do. Are you a SleepHQ Pro member? You can purchase the LENA here - community.sleephq.com/c/platinum-exclusive-deals/lowenstein-lena-mask. It's a good one for high pressure (designed for use with ventilators etc). All the best buddy and thanks for the info. Stranger Nicko 😜
@@CPAPReviews I am scheduled to receive a new CPAP in January. Currently, only ResMed 10 and 11 are available in the USA. I’d much rather have an F&P, but apparently they are no longer available in the US. What gives? If they will be in the near future, I’d prefer to wait for that new machine.
How does this mask go with pressure sores against the nose? I've got the F&P Solo and even when worn loosely, I still wake up with red marks in front of my nostrils which are sore. Not sure if the pressure is set too high or if it's just my big nose?
I've just had mine for a couple of days so I'm waiting a bit longer to give a review. I now have Full House - Micro, Solo, and P10 so I could prepare my own personal product comparison :D.
I use a P1o, and purchased the F&P micro, Head-strap is perfect ,needs fiddling around to get a good fit on your nose. The biggest drawback. The smaller number of exhaust holes and the placement of them, the air always blows on your arm on a very concentrated point. Where-us the 10 has a much more balanced air blew out. I had very big hopes for the F&P micro, so for now the P 10 will be my favorite mask. I have used it for many years, but it is easier to work with her less perfect strap, than ear blowing on your arm all night.
Hi, im new to using a cpap machine. The resmed p10 came with the resmed mini. Very comfortable and easy to get used to. Unfortunately, the resmed mini was just way to noisy for me, so I exchanged it for the AirSense 10. I was given the FP micro to try. Very comfortable at first. Im a side sleeper, so found that as it doesn't have elastic side head gear, every time i moved my head it became unlodged. And therefore uncomfortable, waking me to readjust the mask. The P10 has longer nasel pillows which i belive allow for small amount of movement without dislodgement, also the side arms are elastic and also stretch before dislodging the nasel pillows. The FP micro is more sensitive to moving around. Both seal well when sleeping on my back, but the micro still felt a bit harsh on the nostrils and the weight of the hose could still dislodge the mask. Went back to the P10 and cant be happier. Hope this helps some. PS, i have a beard so found the bigger pillows of the P10 seated better as the bulk of the mask is not as close to the top lip, so less annoying. Cheers
lol. I don’t have an MBA but when I couldn’t get the Solo nasal pillows in the US, I just ordered from an Australian company. It shipped with not problem and received the two I ordered within 10 days. One of them was even broken in the shipping and they sent a new one free of charge. Easy peasy. (The pillow wasn’t cheap, however but I use it each night)
The timing of this video is amazing. I am due for a replacement CPAP and the issue with the ResMed 11 (Climateline) I need to check into. Regards the mask, All I have known is the Philips Respironics DreamWisp Nasal mask but within 10 minutes my new provider gave me a ResMed AirFit N30i and I have only had it for 2 nights and what a difference. It is simple, lighter and way more comfortable and the leakage rate has all but stopped. The only thing that is the same is the number of times I wake up (3-6) because of dry mouth. I have read other comments on the ResMed N30 which the owner said he would never use again... I would like to know why? Cheers from Canada!
Thanks for the video! I am a new papper, less then 1 year, and I have really liked the P10 and have had almost no issues. I bought the Solo based on your videos but could not use the cushions and I am awaiting the pillows to try it again.
Cheers bro, yeah it's a bit hit and miss that nasal version. I feel the pillow Solo is the best option and you should be able to just buy the actual pillow and connect it to the frame when it's available. Cheers
@CPAPReviews I'm just over a week into my CPAP Journey. I didn't want to start out with a full face mask and thought that pillows might be a bit irritating to my nostrils so I decided to start with cushions. I'm currently using the N30i. I like it but now I'm wondering if I should consider trying pillows as a way of eliminating leaks. I haven't tried taping yet because I have a beard and mustache. The N30i is comfortable and it's a huge improvement of my sleep quality from before I got my diagnosis. Do you think I'd get less leaking from pillows than the cushion? My AHI from my Sleep Study was 68.6. I'm now getting 1.7 - 7.5. I'm pretty sure it'll improve after getting the right pressure dialed in and eliminating leaks. Thank you in advance for your assistance and thanks for all you do. 🍺🥃
Hey bro, congrats on a great start to your journey. What you could do is pick up a P30i cushion on ebay or amazon etc and it will fit into your N30i frame. Might be an easy and affordable way to check if you enjoy the pillow feel. Cheers
Seeing you stuffing that in your mouth was the funniest thing I have seen today. Thanks for the laugh. New here, just waiting on results from my at-home sleep test to finally get a diagnosis after 20 years of trying. Fingers crossed I end up on a cpap soon. Liking the look of the micro mask.
I bought the nova micro today. Will see how it goes. I have the p10 currently. But I need to replace the pillow and strap. Which would cost almost as much. Will keep it as spare, though. Still works, just the pillow and strap has gone out of shape.
I have a minor deviated septum, and am a mouth breather. Hence I went path of the face masks to start with. I have since switched to Solo pillow mask and haven't looked back. Love the design, love the pillow. Noise isnt a problem for me or wife. My mouth stays shut all night. I dont get leaks and AHI has gone from 1-3 average to less than 1 average consistently over last 3 months. I am using with Lowenstein prisma on apap setting (average pressure 15 nightly).
@@CPAPReviews Uncle Nicko it was ! Your Solo vid and another vid on nasal masks. I even bought some of the mouth tape you recommended just in case. I am also breathing more through my nose during the day, it’s awesome. Thanks brother !

Solo Pillows are now shipping in the US. I should say at least the fit pack is available. Mine came today, can't wait to try it out. F&P is going to break me, now I want the Micro as well! LOL
When I was a lad, I remember showing off to a dinner date how I could fit my hand in my mouth. It was a last date when I accidentally touched the back of my throat and the dinner came shooting out around my hand and out my nose. Found other ways to show off since.
Brilliant showing of the new mask and yeah guess the other half is spot on.Thanks as usual for keeping us,me up to date.Always guaranteed a laugh Uncle Nico.
I just went back to the ResMed P10 Nasal Pillow mask after trying out the F40. I wanted the F40 to work for me but it's still too big and I would break the seal side sleeping. So I went back to the P10 as I prefer a smaller mask and headgear, which is why the P10 is perfect for me. Also, why can't CPAP machine companies make the water chamber with less angled edges and less grooves? Why not make a chamber that is mostly smooth? These things are pain to clean!
I'd love to try different masks but my (NZ) health insurance doesn't cover sleep apnoea & I find the equipment far too expensive to buy just to 'try'. Why is it so expensive? Manufacturers must be making a substantial profit!
Most pillow style masks are pretty good buddy. The wedge in the nose so if you have enough tension on the straps they should stay in place pretty well. Can also invest in a hose clip to take the weight of the cpap hose off the mask or a hose lift system which does the same thing. Cheers
I've been speaking with Fisher and Paykel US since the summer of when the micro would be in the US and they're not sure. However, I just received an email about the pillows being available for the Solo in US. "I’m sorry, but we still do not know when the Nova Micro will be coming out in the USA. We have definitely asked as we are all excited and awaiting the arrival of this new product, but I believe that because medical devices must go through many rules and regulations, especially here in the United States, the upper management does not exactly know the release date as well. I’m sorry for this inconvenience, but please be on the lookout in the coming months. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not know when that exact release date will be."
Unrelated question. What if my AHI is under 1 everyday but still feel tired. Pressure settings are 7-10 . It pretty much stays at 7 in my Oscar settings. Just confused. Worked like a charm for 6 months but feel like I’m not getting good sleep anymore
I've always had a problem with nasal mask (n20) and pillows (p10, f&p brevida) resting on my upper lip and irritating the area. Does this mask have the same problem?
Howdy Nick, I’m still a little bit confused, I love the Hans Solo Nasal Cradle Mask, got it on your recommendation. But should my ASV machine be set to Pillows? Not Nasal, Correct?
I went to the VA sleep center just a few weeks ago and the guy was asking if I was happy with the Mirage FX (which I have been using since 2012), and I said yes, but not really liking the marks it leaves on my face and I mentioned something about the P30i from ResMed and dude comes back with an F&P Solo (cushion)(medium); I've tried for quite a few nights to get this thing to work with me, but it seems like either the cushion is too small (we did a fitting in the office beforehand), or I am not fitting it correctly because it's either too loud and leaky or I suffocate because I feel as if I am not getting enough air; and yes, this is one really long run-on sentence.
It's a bit hit and miss the nasal solo version and it's a fair bit noisier than the pillow version of the mask which i feel also has a better seal. Cheers
Dang Uncle Nick- you put all that into your mouth? lol! I got the joke about your wife having a small one too lol! I just got the F&P Solo. It's a good mask- just noisy in my opinion. This one looks pretty good. I really like the pillow style masks, I get a good seal and don't have to keep my pressures higher than 10- which is good. Pillow masks are much quieter too. I had a Bovida nasal pillow and they have a diffuser on the vent as well which was awesome. I had a tough time keeping it on my face properly for a good seal though. My conclusion is there's no perfect mask. They all have up and down sides to them. Good to see F&P step up on innovation.
Please compare them to the ResMed Swift FX? I'm concerned that it will be cancelled soon & if Nova Micro can replace it, I can "sleep easier." LOL Thanks
Hi I’m new and in u.s.. looking for a mask that easy exhale and doesn’t blow air onto pillow back into my face and quiet. Would like a full face and a nasal. So far I’ve tried the p10 which I keep going back to but headgear constantly slipping, when it’s tight enough nose hurts. Tried the f30i and feel suffocated on exhale and when pressure goes up it farts , also hate that it blows air all back in face. Tried the f40 and when tight enough can’t breathe through nose because it’s crush closed and also feel suffocated from exhale. Lastly, tried the Philips Respironics Nuance Gel Nasal Pillow mask, again very fast airflow out the vent. All are too noisy except the p10 and f40 . Please somebody advise. Going crazy. Thank you
Design looks like a knock off of my old stand-by, the ResMed Swift FX. I just recently tried the P10 and have not decided if I should completely replace my FX. FX is easier to breathe through and P10 is quieter. Will collect data and take notes on how I feel upon wake up to see which is the win for me.
I think if you've found a mask you can sleep okay with then you stick with it unless there's a reason to change. I know there's always a temptation that perhaps there's something better but if it aint broke....don't try and fix it
2 issues...as a female with long hair, the idea of rubber and hair doesn't sound very comfortable. The other is having my nostrils shoved up towards my forehead for 8 hours. I don't exactly love the Airfit F20 but I do like the foam around the mask, as my mouth falls open.
@@CPAPReviews Probably my misunderstanding, but have always been told to remove capo when not playing to get any additional pressure off the neck. You most likely know more than I do. Hey - I like the guitar playing in some of your videos. Plus thanks for the great content you create. It has really helped me on the cpap journey. Cheers.
Looks the same shape as the shape and soft silicone as the Brevida and the solo. Those invert too often for quite a few people. Not a good experience. Resmed pillows don’t do that. I think it’s due to that rounded wider shape at the base and the double layer silicone providing support.
Glad to hear it bro. I'm a big kid at heart and often have to try and keep a lid on it because of the elderly audience but occasionally i let my inner child off the chain
G'day buddy, i haven't done a full comparison between these masks however i know the Nova Micro is a fair dB quieter even with the Brevida diffuser. Once again i think it comes down to the deadspace. Cheers

Hey bro, yeah that's an interesting phenomenon that happens a bit with the Solo. The literature says this new auto-adjusting system prevents over-tightening but people do report the mask 'getting tighter' through the night.
@CPAPReviews Had 3 nights with solo I got from Edensleep here in nz. It was a great success. I will be getting one as I really liked it. Had to do a lot of f**ing around with settings, though, epr from 3 to 1 ,lower pressure 13 to 11, and up humidity. And a little Alowvera gel. Leak down and very comfortable.
New F&P mask not very good. It pushes mask too firmly into your nose with no give. Couldn't even use it for 1 hour before taking it off. Am now using my resmed P30i pillow mask.

What website?
@@jasonlipschultz7073 Air Voel in Canada. With the discount and shipping, I paid $100. This mask is great!
Brevida is a win! Well played. Cheers
Nice one, please report back and share your feedback with the community. Good luck! I think you'll enjoy it. Cheers
@@CPower-kc8gu and….. how is it?
I used the Micro on Friday night and I think I put it upside down, because the prongs were touching my nasal membranes and were pretty uncomfortable. I gave it another chance last night and ensured a correct position. I was pleasantly surprised to realize I fell asleep almost immediately and did not feel the mask most of the night. It does creep up the back of the head, but the nose piece remained on and didn't come off. I mostly sleep on my side and on early morning I flip on my stomach. It was nice not to feel a bulky strap against my face. My partner even said that the Micro looks "cute". 😊
ResMed bipap, heated tubing, no tank. Pressures 7-13
@@Doublereeder2Hi, I wrote a brief review. Check it out!
@@CPower-kc8gu great, thanks!
My solution to the "pop off" is that I switched from the A11 to dreammachine2 (recall replacement). Problem solved!
Is the climateline issue the reason I had to send my several month old airsense11 in for like 2 months to fix?
How does this mask go with pressure sores against the nose? I've got the F&P Solo and even when worn loosely, I still wake up with red marks in front of my nostrils which are sore. Not sure if the pressure is set too high or if it's just my big nose?
I've just had mine for a couple of days so I'm waiting a bit longer to give a review. I now have Full House - Micro, Solo, and P10 so I could prepare my own personal product comparison :D.
I look forward to reading your feedback. Thank you for your channel membership. Cheers
I wish we were getting the Nova Micro this year in the USA.
It wouldn't surprise me if you do!
Or Europe...
I love my P10 but I’m also excited to try the F&P micro when it gets to the US.
Absolutely! I look forward to your feedback. Cheers
The P10 travel masks exhalation ports are down the near where the humidity goes. I’d love to see it’s stays in comparison. It is my go too.
I live in the USA and get my CPAP supplies from the VA. I have had a Solo for about 3 months.
Glad to hear it bro. How do you find it? Cheers
@@CPAPReviewsyes, we need resources
Yes,please share as I'm in the US as well. Thanks
Taylor, NICE guitar. I own a 910 - bought it new in 1997. Still plays and sounds beautiful.
Cheers
I switched from the N30i to the P30i because of leaks. It did, in fact, help. I really like the P30i.
Glad to hear it Kat, good luck with your results 😊
Awesome to hear! Curious to know if it was one of my vids that made you give it a go?
@@CPAPReviews Uncle Nicko it was ! Your Solo vid and another vid on nasal masks. I even bought some of the mouth tape you recommended just in case. I am also breathing more through my nose during the day, it’s awesome. Thanks brother !

Solo Pillows are now shipping in the US. I should say at least the fit pack is available. Mine came today, can't wait to try it out. F&P is going to break me, now I want the Micro as well! LOL
Which one do you prefer to use more, this one or Solo?Thank you very much.❤
When I was a lad, I remember showing off to a dinner date how I could fit my hand in my mouth. It was a last date when I accidentally touched the back of my throat and the dinner came shooting out around my hand and out my nose. Found other ways to show off since.
Hahaha, i can just imagine! Unfortunately for everyone watching i'm still 'a lad'.....at least at heart. Cheers
Im literally watching this in my red med mask as im trying to fall asleep
I hate the res med p10 because it’s not adjustable. Yes it comes with a clip to shorten it, but it’s pretty useless when the headgear is too tight!
I'd love to try different masks but my (NZ) health insurance doesn't cover sleep apnoea & I find the equipment far too expensive to buy just to 'try'. Why is it so expensive? Manufacturers must be making a substantial profit!
How well does it stay in place when on the side cheek in pillow?
I love my Solo mostly because of the headgear. I would totally switch to Micro if it had the same headgear as the solo.
I tried the P10. I didn't like that it only had one strap going to the back of the head...switched back to my Swift FX.
i imagine that's probably the 2nd best selling mask of all time. Cheers
Great comment bro! It was the sacrifice i made when i married her
Please compare them to the ResMed Swift FX?
Thank you
I want to love a nose piece instead of the full F20 which I really don't like, but it works.
I used the F20 for a while , but didn't like it. I switched to the AirFit N30, and I love it! No leaks and fits great. It's also very minimal.
I love the look of that mask but I don't know how anyone can cope with the hose off the nose?
They wanted to give me the p10 today but I wouldn't leave until I got the p30i. About to try my first night on cpap
I like both those masks mate The top-of-the-head style masks are very popular these days. Cheers
That's my first ever mask and I keep coming back to it. The elephant trunk hose in front eventually becomes impossible to sleep with.
@@CPower-kc8gu took me 2 days to get used to backpressure breathing with it. I swear I have gained 40 IQ points back with this cpap
I tend to mouth breath sometimes. Does this thing handle that? Really will appreciate a reply.
I got this. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a nice mask. Disagree with the title though. I didn't like it better than my P10
That P10 is a tough one to beat!
Would you swap p30i for the micro?
I think if you've found a mask you can sleep okay with then you stick with it unless there's a reason to change. I know there's always a temptation that perhaps there's something better but if it aint broke....don't try and fix it
2 issues...as a female with long hair, the idea of rubber and hair doesn't sound very comfortable. The other is having my nostrils shoved up towards my forehead for 8 hours. I don't exactly love the Airfit F20 but I do like the foam around the mask, as my mouth falls open.
Uncle Nicko, you should remove the capo when finished playing.
tell me more mate?
@@CPAPReviews Probably my misunderstanding, but have always been told to remove capo when not playing to get any additional pressure off the neck. You most likely know more than I do. Wife:Did you have a pizza pie on the way home?
Don’t know what you’re talking about.
Looks the same shape as the shape and soft silicone as the Brevida and the solo. Those invert too often for quite a few people. Not a good experience. Resmed pillows don’t do that. I think it’s due to that rounded wider shape at the base and the double layer silicone providing support.
Cheers for the comment. Because this pillow is so much smaller it's more difficult for it to invert but i get what you mean bro
