I got the Nova Micro from your store and have to say, it's extremely comfy, pillows feel much better than the P10. It's easy to exhale and it's for me, a far better experience than the P10 was (and it was good). Thanks for the awesome review. Love your videos
Love the ResMed P10! Both my husband and I have the ResMed CPAP machines. And we love our P10 nose pillows. No problems with it at all. I am a side sleeper and my husband is both back and side. The only reason we would try the F&P would be to see if the nose pillows are more comfortable. We have been using the ResMed masks for seven years and are very happy with them.
I’m in the US but ordered one from CA. It is as comfortable as the P10 and I’ll definitely put it in my mask rotation. I can’t wait until it’s available here so it won’t be so expensive. EDIT: I LOVE this mask and have already ordered a new one (so when the elastic finally stretches out) I’ll have one ready, also got a few extra cushions. Thank you to the Canadian companies that ship to the USA!
I'm looking forward to trying the Micro. I currently use the F&P Brevida mask which I like but has one flaw (at least for me). The point where the tube swivels is also where the exhaust diffuser is located. Oftentimes it swivels and points at my lips/face and bothers the heck out of me. I like the P10 a lot except for the fact that the headgear is not adjustable. I have a large head and wearing the mask more than four days in a row leads to a sore nose. I don't understand why ResMed doesn't offer a larger strap.
I finally was able to order the nova micro pillow from Canada to ship to US... I'll let you know how it's like... been using respironics nuance for years...
I do like the P10 however I found the exhale valve tends to clog up making it hard to exhale and eventually clogs up completely after a few months. I am hoping the micro will last just a little longer.
Yeah I think they changed the design of the vent gauze. I have used P10s for the last 8 years. The last two masks have been clogged after a month or two of use or when rain out occurs. Am hoping this new mask helps solve the issue.
I love my P10. I think the adjustable sides on the Fisher would be very uncomfortable on my head and face it's too bulky. I also like the P10 nasal pillows because they help to prevent my nostrils from collapsing.
I find the different experiences that users have using the same mask fascinating. I have only ever used a P10 because it was suggested as the best first attempt mask and it has been perfect for me ever since. I have no problem exhalation pressure, no condensation, no fit, leak, or comfort issues and no problem moving about as much as I want. I use it with a ResMed AirSense 11 and I don't even use the water tank. The rotating connections at either end of the hose with this mask did intrigue me a little because the P10 does not have even one rotating end. I think the reason it would be necessary with this Nova Micro is because the elephant hose is so short on this mask. It looks to be about half the length of the hose on the P10. I expect that the significantly longer hose on the P10 allows for far more torsional freedom, eliminating the need for the rotating connections. I think I would probably have issues with the shorter length of the Nova Micro elephant hose because the additional length in the P10 hose creates the freedom I have in turning from side - to - side and is probably largely responsible for the fit and comfort experience I have.

I had similar thoughts but just got my micro and it is much better than the P10 in my view. The pillows are more comfortable. It does exhale better. I am a side sleeper and turn from side to side and have no difficulties with the elephant hose.
The adjustment is a pro. I've had this mask for five days now. Day one, I ended up going back to my N20 part way through the night as the medium size mask was pushing on my nasal septum, and at first, it didn't seem to be a problem, but mid-way through the night it was very painful. For night 2, I loosed the straps, but again, I switched back. I put the large pillow on and I was able to keep them on over night. With both pillows, I find the noise at the mask is very obtrusive, especially when exhaling. The N20 makes practically no noise at all, aside from the constant stream of air coming out of the exhaust ports, which only makes noise if it something to blow against nearby. After five days, I've gone back to the n20 because I find that I am waking up too often through the night while wearing the nova. I'm not sure why, it might be the noise. One thing that I thought this mask would help with was dry eyes. I thought the n20 was leaking at the top of my cheek and blowing on my eye, but the nova dries my eyes out as well, and I'm not sure how.
I was curious about the noise. I’m such a light sleeper! I started with the P10, then N30, then the N20, and finally the Bleep Eclipse. I really like the Bleep but after a couple months I had to go to the N20 for a week to allow my nose to not hurt. The P10 also hurt my nose. Overall the Eclipse has been the best mask for me. I’ll just have to take breaks whenever my nose gets sore and put up with the N20/30.
How about leaking on both masks? Do they both have problems with high leakage especially at higher pressures eg max 15 or, is one mask better than the other with little to no problem with air leakage?
I've searched hi/lo and tried all masks to find a backup option for respironics nuance (I think they've already dc'd it...); my airmini uses P10... is nova micro available for US customers?
So I’m new to cpap therapy and I started with the micro but maybe it’s cause I’m new but I find exhaling is not easy with the Micro and I find the bottom portion of the mask presses against my gums (I don’t put it tight at all) and it’s super uncomfortable cause I feel it in my teeth.
I found the n10 caused a scab on the inside of the nostril from (i think) the acute angles of those nose prongs which disappointed me because it was otherwise an excellent mask. I settled on the n30, but I wonder, do you think the Nova Micro with its tapered nose prong things would be a good alternative?
The most important detail not included to me is the noise level of the diffuser data between the two. I use a F&P SleepStyle so the exhale is not important and the machine stops blowing on exhale.
How does people manage mouth leaks with nasal mask? I used to use P10 but mouth leak forced me to use full face mask which I still haven’t found a good fit.
I use paper skin tape sold at any pharmacy and it works well. When you remove it go to the sink and keep dabbing the tape with warm water and it will loosen up within about a minute. No lip soreness. I hope this helps.
@@michaelgreene7403 thanks for the advice, I just tried it and the tape was easily removed, however, the sticky glue was not. Any advice on how to remove the glue?
I think resmed has changed the diffuser design on the p10. Clogs more easily making it harder to exhale. Have used this mask for years at high pressure of 17 to 18cm H2O with no issue, cleaning weekly. Its become unusable and have tried 2 separate replacements of the p10. Am hoping switching to the new FP mask will solve this.
P10 is quieter and has way less airflow. On my measurements, P10 exhale air speed is 1.6m/s and Micro is 2.62m/s. This measurement is done at 15cm pressure.
Too bad it's not in the US, and doesn't come in XS, just like the brevida, which only comes in small/xs which is really just small and not small enough. I hate they couldn't make a smaller version.

When will these available in the USA? Your website only shows Canada
According to our F&P reps, the USA will only receive the Solo until further notice. So we do not know as we only operate in Canada.
@@thecpapstoreis that weird that they are only doing it in Canada? I can't imagine why.

Question. Do you exhale thru the nose or mouth?
Out the nose with the P10, I guess it would be similar to the Micro, which I haven't received yet.
I been on P10 for a few years and i am changing to another mask because i started getting irritation in my nostril and around my mouth

Can the cushion on the micro be used on the P10?
No because the p10 is resmed and this is f&p
Didn’t they just come out with the noisy solo?
perhaps? I am unable to get my hands on a solo in Canada right now. Hopefully I will get them by fall, and can do a review.
