I was disappointed when my brother-in-law gave me your album until I slapped it on my direct drive turntable and cranked it up and I still love this song to this day keep rocking on brothers
I had a great time playing this song live: back in the 80's! Everyone in the Bar would get up and dance to it!

Tommy is a stand up guy! I met him after a performance at an 80's night gig he did with Missing Persons and another 80's band that doesn't come to mind right now, back in 2008. He was just standing at the bar and I recognized him and went up to him and shook his hand. Chatted for a minute with him. Cool guy and glad he and his band are still going strong! I love the acoustic version!

It's funny because he's not listed as one of the songwriters on this song. The lead guitarist(Jim Keller) and a dude named Alex Call wrote the song. Tommy Heath isn't listed as one of the songwriters anywhere. But since it was their only hit I am sure he likes to take credit for it.

He's still gold, and what did you expect? He performed this song over 28 years ago, and many good old school 80's performers that are still around today can still pull it off in redoing their iconic hits. A lesson to the so-called "in- crowd" Pop/Rap stars nowadays in who has the most staying power in a hit that will last a lifetime...

It’s funny because he didn’t write the song. Alex call did and he met with the tommy tutone guitarist and he made up the bathroom part and Alex wrote the rest so tommy didn’t write it.

This story is wrong. He later said the truth was that he made it up about the song. No jenny and no number was real. He wrote it under a plum tree. Wiki it and see

WTF, he's lying. He didn't write that song. The guitarist got that song from an industry song writer. The real song writer came up with the song out of the blue. Whatever, he's probably joking around about it to make himself seem more legit.
That host is annoying and made the intro and ending unbearable. Still, it wasn't enough to ruin Tommy's beautiful mellowed-out rendition of a classic '80s tune.
