Every Gen X kid who's ever been in a garage band since 1982 is grinning their damn face off right now. ❤ Of COURSE you guys nailed it - you always do - but it's always such a treat seeing you tackle unexpected audio touchstones like this.
@@caleshtcincredibles when you were in high school I was probably 10 years out, rockin' in a top 40s band in the '80s with other boomers playing this tune all the time.
Fabulous rendition of the iconic song which caused people all over the country with 867-5309 to change their numbers due to the avalanche of calls they were getting for Jenny. Now that's rock'n'roll!
certain songs just pull me right back into the 80's, and I can picture all my friends, school, and everything I was going through at the time. This is one of those songs. Thanks guys for the time trip!
Wow - makes me feel like I'm in High School again! You guys were spot on in your rendition - and the popped collar and dark shades on the drummer was the cherry on top of the sundae on this one!

The great thing about an iconic song is it's ability to take you back to a time and remember that year, that car, that girl, etc. Hearing 5309 done brilliantly by LLB did just that for me. Thank you.
Jenny would say, LLB call me!!, I'll be yours!!! Now that's FREAKING ROCK AND ROLL right there!!!PEACE FROM SHELBYVILLE TENNESSEE!!! MAN THAT WAS GOOD!!!
I cannot find a single thing to bitch about. You fellas have really dialed in the production value. Drums coming through! Mixed very well. Guitar tones spot on. Great job
When this was released, my home phone number growing up was just a few digits off this in the 213 area code (Los Angeles). So Jenny must have lived near me. Great memories.
Another great one from my youth. Please, please do She’s a Beauty by the Tubes. Also, I have always loved guitars but props to Randy Refalo for laying down the bass and making it look easy. He’s in quite a few of these and always great.

There were boomer bands playing this rocker I can assure you

For me 1974 in that band.

the Lexington Lab Band and I know its going to be good.

except how many people really had that specific number LOL. Good Iconic story though for sure
@@gregsretromusicchannel7000 I always use that number when trolling the crypto scammers.
I still call that number and ask for Jenny if someone answers.
I've yet to find her.
Some did have that number. Ma bell had to add it the “do not issue” list.
LOL. I get the 80s throwback Polo with popped up collar. Nice. LOL.
You know we need some Goodbye to You by Scandal! Just Saying!
Did you guys know that within a year of this song coming out, 867-5309 was removed from service in the entire country
TY ..
I really like the bottom end of the mix, Randy and especially Ryan's snare. it drives the song.
Randy, I totally agree. Getting a good drum mix is half the battle with these things. The drums are consistently brilliant and well-recorded.
The drummer is TIGHT ! Not a beat out of place . The group did this song proud .
Let’s go!!!!!! Yeah
Last song, People 🎸😁
Now you guys MUST do Radar Love!
Oh yeah!
First time I've made this comment regarding your work: BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL!
Go to the Heart playlist...there's a spectacular young lady that definitively can hold her own, even though Ann Wilson's shoes are hard to fill!
Tommy Heath's voice is much better.
as always.... nice!
Exellent.
Incredibly competent cover. Or "ICC" as I like to call it.
Nailed it. Again.
Props to Austin Vitucci. You're fantastic on the keys, and now you're showing how good you are on guitar, as well.
Drums!
That was FUN!
Out of the park as usual.
Vandy, your mixes are wonderful. Every instrument is heard and stands on its own. Nothing is buried and so refreshing. Great job, band.
