  • *A Day of Adventure and Magic in Alaska 🇺🇸🗻*
We started our day with a delightful room service Continental breakfast, setting the tone for another exciting day on our Alaskan adventure.
🌿 *Exploring the Mendenhall Glacier and Tongass National Forest* 🌿
After breakfast, we headed to Azure to meet for our port adventure. Today’s excursion took us to the breathtaking Mendenhall Glacier and the lush Tongass National Forest. The Mendenhall Glacier, located just 12 miles from downtown Juneau, is an awe-inspiring river of ice stretching 13 miles from the Juneau Icefield to Mendenhall Lake. The surrounding Tongass National Forest, the largest national forest in the United States, is a verdant expanse of old-growth temperate rainforest, home to diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes.
    🌊 *Discovering Nugget Falls* 🌊
Our adventure led us to the magnificent Nugget Falls, a 377-foot waterfall located near the Mendenhall Glacier. The falls cascade down in two tiers, creating a spectacular sight as they rush into Mendenhall Lake. The walking trail from the car park to Nugget Falls is a scenic route that offers breathtaking views of the glacier and the surrounding wilderness. Check out our video for a closer look at this beautiful hike!
    🚌 *Exploring Juneau* 🛍️
We then hopped on the free Disney shuttle bus and ventured into Juneau. We indulged in some shopping at the cut-priced T-shirt shops, which are definitely worth a visit for unique souvenirs and Alaskan memorabilia.
    🍽️ *Lunch and a Quick Snack* 🍽️
We had planned to dine at Tracy's Crab Shack, famed for its delicious seafood, but the long queue made us reconsider. Instead, we enjoyed a scrumptious lunch at Tiana’s Place, savouring a delicious combination of steak and burger. Later in the afternoon, I sampled the shawarma from the pool deck. It was incredibly tasty, especially with the chilli mayonnaise, which packed more heat than I expected!
🎉 *Meeting Mickey and Minnie* 🎉
Next on the agenda was a meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie. Despite the nearly hour-long wait, it was worth every minute, as meeting both characters together is a rare treat.
    🎭 *Frozen: A Musical Spectacular* 🎭
We then headed to the Walt Disney Theatre for the "Frozen: A Musical Spectacular" performance. This show is a true masterpiece, featuring dazzling effects, stunning costumes, and incredible performances. It’s a highlight of the Disney Wonder’s entertainment lineup and rivals any Broadway production.
    🍴 *Dinner at Animator's Palate* 🍴
Our evening meal was at Animator's Palate, where we enjoyed a variety of dishes, including beef Wellington, salmon, and chicken schnitzel. However, the chicken schnitzel didn’t quite meet the usual Disney standards, and several tables, including ours, sent it back. Reflecting on it now, I might have reconsidered dining there that night. More details will be revealed in our next vlog.
    🛏️ *Perfect Turndown Service* 🛏️
We returned to our room to find yet another perfect turndown service, complete with a towel-made swan waiting on our bed. It’s these little touches that make the Disney cruise experience so special.
🌌 *Hoping for the Northern Lights* 🌌
We ended the night on the comfy seats outside of Cove Café, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Previous nights had been lucky, but unfortunately, tonight wasn’t our night. Nonetheless, the day was filled with unforgettable moments and magical experiences.
Stay tuned for more adventures and insights in our next vlog! ✨🚢

Really enjoying your videos. We did this cruise 10 years ago and we are doing it again in August. I was comparing our pictures to your video of Mendenhal Glacier. It's amazing how far the glaciers have receded in the past 10 years. During our glacier day, the ship was able to move right in to the bay where the glacier is, we got to watch it calve... there was no option to take a smaller boat into the bay. Looking forward to your next video. Cheers!
