  • Embarkation Day on Disney Wonder's First Seasonal Sailing to Alaska! 🚢❄️
    ‪@Disney‬ ‪@disneycruiseline‬
Today is embarkation day, and we’re beyond excited to kick off Disney Wonder’s first seasonal sailing to Alaska! 🌟
We began our morning with a breathtaking view of the Disney Wonder arriving at the port of Vancouver, all from the comfort of our room at the Pan Pacific Hotel. We also took in the sight from the pool deck, and it was nothing short of magical. 🌆✨
After soaking in the arrival, we went through the bag drop-off and check-in process with ease, eagerly anticipating what lay ahead.
Upon boarding, we received a warm welcome from a fellow Brit, Molly, through a tannoy announcement. It felt like a special homecoming! 🇬🇧🎉
Our first stop was Tiana’s Place for lunch, where we indulged in a fantastic three-course meal. We savored delicious empanadas, a perfectly cooked steak, a hearty muffuletta sandwich, and rounded off with a scrumptious sundae and cheesecake for dessert. 🍽️🍰
Next, we toured our inside stateroom, room 6133. While we questioned our choice of an inside room for such a scenic adventure, we couldn’t wait to see what lay ahead.
We decorated our door with amazing magnets, mostly from the talented Indigo Dinosaur UK on Etsy! They even gifted us a stunningly large UP house magnet, as seen in our video. 🏠🎨
Our afternoon was spent delivering pixie dust, candy exchange items, and fish extender gifts to fellow travelers’ staterooms. It’s always wonderful to spread some Disney magic! 🧚‍♀️🍬
We set sail, gliding gracefully under the Lions Gate Bridge with a charming toot from the ship's horn, marking the beginning of our journey. As we entered the Inside Passage, the narrow gap between land offered stunning scenery on either side, so close it felt like we could touch it. 🏞️🌲
The Sail-A-Wave party was next on our agenda, where we enjoyed a high-energy performance with the Fab 5 Disney characters and the entertainment team, led by the enthusiastic Diego. 🕺🎶
For dinner, we were treated to a delightful meal at Animator’s Palate. The restaurant's theming is a true celebration of Disney animation, with drawings and sketches adorning the walls, and screens that bring the characters to life. We enjoyed black truffle pasta, steak with wasabi mash, and a decadent cookies and cream sundae. 🍝🍨
We met our servers, Brendan and Charlie, who instantly became our favorites with their impeccable service and friendly demeanor. To top off the night, Sorcerer Mickey made a magical appearance, bringing the restaurant to life with his charm. ✨👨‍🍳
Before retreating for the night, we hit the shops to grab some merch, including a Fisherman Mickey plush, which will be part of our channel giveaway. 🎁🧸
Finally, we returned to our stateroom to find it perfectly turned down by our wonderful room host, Wisma. It was the perfect end to a magical day. 🛏️🌙
Check out our vlog for this incredible day of our trip!
Stay tuned for more adventures as we sail through Alaska! 🚢❄️🌲

Leaving June 10th to Alaska! Thanks for the content. Any packing tips? How was the weather?

Oh my you’re going to have so much fun!
We packed for winter and got summer, I got sunburned on our Icy Strait point day.
We had a friend who did a back to back cruise however and she got typical Alaskan weather, cool and raining. We were very lucky.
Packing wise it has to be layers. You’ll leave the ship in hat, coat and gloves and by the time you get back you’ve got just your lightest layer on.
I tended to go for T-shirt, jumper then waterproof to start off with. I did mainly end up in spirit jerseys and shorts most days.

    what is your facebook group?

    • @jsadventures682
      @jsadventures682  2 месяца назад

We are J&S Adventures, but the pages we talk about in the group are specific for each individual cruise, search your ships name and the dates you sail and it should come up! For example our group was called Disney Wonder May 13 - May 20 2024 from Vancouver.
      I hope that helps 😀
