So glad to finally see the Alf project uploaded and truthfully it didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to see Alf running around the layout when it is all complete.
thank you very much for a very relaxing video they are so laid back and well made all your videos are very therapeutic with some really subtle humour keep it up please
Amazing work George! Will you make little Awdry Extravaganza faces for the TR engines? In all seriousness though I’m jealous of your talent, once again amazing work as always!
I need to buy so many things from westcliff lol. I have an alf body from shapeways, but its an old design that lacks a lot of detail, so i made it Fred from the Railway Series. Lovely job as always!
WOO HOO .... IT'S ALF! 🙆👏👏👍 Top job as always George. What is it about the prototype which has gained it such a loyal following over the years? Perhaps it's just down to it being a completely unpretentious little workhorse which gets any job done .... eventually!
I really enjoy seeing these projects come together. I hope to build a narrow gauge Skarloey layout someday, maybe Crovan's Gate or something. Speaking of Skarloey, are you gonna take part in this year's Awdry Diorama Challenge?
@@GWilliamsonModelsAah ... but the most important question. What colour will No.1 appear in. I was pleasantly surprised how well the latest "Stratford Ultramarine" goes with a rake of pristine red carriages (and tbh, I'm a fan of the very smart standard bronze green).
@@GWilliamsonModels amazing . Tho I was kinda sad I didn’t get to see Douglas or Edward Thomas at the extravaganza this year . Kinda anoying but oh well
Alf doesn't need to move, all he does is spin the planet so his destination reaches him!
What a guy!

Glad you liked it!
Thats a very clever re-jigging of the chassis!
Not my invention, so I thought the same as you when I saw it!

@@GWilliamsonModels Immensely
So cute 😊
@@ye20990 thanks! ❤️
Alf is running well, of course!
Always! Well..not always, it failed a few weeks ago at the TR, I believe it was diesel day aswell 😅

Thankyou so much. Yes I’m looking into faces at the moment!
@@GWilliamsonModels that’s awesome

Get an order in, the best thing is the models aren’t that expensive compared to others
Your narration is always so clever.
Cheers

I’m not too sure, I like it just because it’s so different to the typical diesel shape, and being a solid block, it pulls like a horse
Cheers !
That’s my line 😉
@@GWilliamsonModels We're all emulating your every move . . . It's the price of fame ! That was the bit I can do - so far . . .

Speaking of Skarloey, are you gonna take part in this year's Awdry Diorama Challenge?
Yes that would be a fun one. I am indeed, hoping to start my diorama this week infact
When do you reckon you’ll make Talyllyn now she is back running?
I’m just waiting on westcliff works to finish their body for no1. More likely that no4 will be next 😉
@@GWilliamsonModelsAah ... but the most important question. What colour will No.1 appear in.

@@TheHoveHeretic as I’m modelling present day, no1 will be in its current blue livery, and 4 will be grey
Do you use car primer for metal or plastic? I wondered if the metal version has more acid and will ruin the resin.
No I use it for pretty much everything, as long as the body has been properly cleaned, I haven’t had an issue with resin
Interesting question, will you be making nant as it is now or one of the proposed designs?
Present day, I wanted this build to have the ability to mimic the railway itself, down to timetables and stock formations
@@GWilliamsonModels good idea, have you seen the proposed plans for nant in the museum?
@@heritage0001 I have indeed, very ‘out there’
OMG ALF ALERT
It’s Alf!
@@GWilliamsonModels ikr
where can i find the shell of alf?
It’s a westcliff works model, email westcliffworks3d@gmail.com
@@GWilliamsonModels ok so all i have to do is email them & ask for a Alf body or something like that? just curious never done this before
@@thomasformerswars101 that’s correct. They’re working on a website, but this is a side project so takes time for replies etc
@@GWilliamsonModels understood thank you
Alf is the second best diesel the railway has . Midlander is better if ya don’t agree then your wrong
I think I agree with you there mate
