  • In this video I show you how I make my walls using the little Wills slate sheet packs. This includes cutting and gluing them in place, painting, weathering, and all the other little bits to make them look ultra realistic.
    Cheers

    My fav acrylic grey is Humbrol engineering grey, as it has that bit of warmth to it.

    I've sat through corris, now this I don't know how much longer I can keep from building a layout.

    George have you tried the scalescene slate wall printed sheets they are A4 and you buy one print lots and look pretty realistic (no connection)

    • @GWilliamsonModels
      @GWilliamsonModels  5 месяцев назад +1

      You say that, and I now realised that I actually bought that, but never printed it off, I won’t use it on this layout now, but I’ll definitely have a play with it in the future.

    I thought that I might use your technique for platform construction on my layout howver my platform faces the viewer. How do you finish/ paint your foamboard below the copers? I've never used foamboard so can the ends be carved to represent stone?

      @GWilliamsonModels  2 месяца назад +1

      If it faces the viewer, I tend to cut a slither of embossed plastikard and glue it to the side, which can then be painted up, though if you’re doing a narrow gauge platform thats basically rail height, you could just paint it black/dark grey and weather it up
