I am catching up on this series and, to say the least, I'm loving every humour and skill filled minute. Not only is the resultant layout destined to be a stunner the mixture of modelling and wit is a joy.
Woodland so nice, he makes it twice! Definitely a fan of the extra shots of the engine running at the end- super cool to watch the layout "grow in" over time
Thanks 😅 yes me too, I think when the layout is complete, I’ll do a video with just shots of the trains running past from different angles, might be nice to sit and watch after all of the work going into it!
What can I say George? I’ve followed this build from the start and have been more and more amazed at the effect created. These trees are particularly effective. Excellent!
Love to hear that you’ve watched it from the start, it’s been a bit learning curve as I’ve never filmed..or edited before. Hopefully you’ll continue to watch the videos as I complete Corris, and start the next project!
@@GWilliamsonModels I am planing on giving this 009 guage ago as it seems a lot more appealing to me over a standard model railway although it might not be to everyone’s taste as a lot of people seem to model a real life place or existing railway but I want to do somthing more fictional like a public attraction if you would like cut into a cliff face so nice and tight what advice would you give ?
Beautiful modelling George. I agree that the The Woodlands Scenics scenic cement sprayer is fierce and I think it wastes more than is needed.. I sourced an alternative sprayer.
Thanks, yes I think I’ll do the same, the spray bottle that deluxeMaterials use for the scenic spray glue that I previously used was amazing, it came out as a fine mist. I think going forward I’ll put this stuff in a new bottle, and move back over to deluxeMaterials when I get through this glue
Excellent set of videos. I think your layout is superb, and the way you have broken down the build has been very helpful. Given me inspiration to start building a layout. Could you confirm what spray booth you have as it looks very good.
Thankyou for your kind comment, I’m glad the videos are translating to the viewer well. The spray booth is by Violamart, the important part is the ducting out of the back that takes the fumes out of the window, the modelling room hardly notices the smell of the paints whilst it’s being used
Good spot, I pulled some skin off and didn’t fancy the idea of thinners and the like hitting the open wound! If you like that, keep and eye on next Fridays video, I’ve got a better injury than that 😂
The only thing better than your ‘dad joke’ sense of humour lol is your amazing layout. So so impressed…. Makes me want to convert from on30 to 009 😂😂… what am I saying 🤦♂️
I would hate to ask but do you use tri-ang track because I have a new obsession with model trains and I have some tri-ang track and it looks very similar to that. Good video anyways.
Hi, no I don’t use tri-ang, assuming you mean the old stuff? I’m sure you could try it out, if your stock runs no problem, then I think there’s no problem using it
Oh, and I don’t know what the stabby tool is, I got it about 20 years ago in a knife set, I’ve even taken it to Chester model centre and they had never seen one.. possibly something to do with engraving?
Incredible caftsmanship ... - I'd never muster the patience, though I'd rather grow a forest of real trees than attempt to cobble a single one together in that meticulous manner ...
Well this is a brand new bottle, which is why it was confusing me, but if you’re having that issue with a used bottle, it could well be glue drying up the nozzle. If you get a cup of water, unscrew the bottle top and pop the intake into the clean water and spray a load through, it should help it minimise the amount of glue in the sprayer
Beautiful and very believable modeling. Thank you for the video.
Thankyou so much, I’m thrilled that you like the model
You're welcome.
That's BRILLIANT THANK YOU and your sense of humour👍👍😂
My pleasure 😅
I'm not a railway modeller, but I appreciate enthusiasm in any topic. Thank you for a most informative and entertaining video!
My pleasure! I’m glad my enjoyment comes across in the videos, I love making trains 😅

Glad to hear that you’re enjoying it, thanks for watching!
Took me by surprise when he said "Children, you have sanctuary here." Quite prescient. Excellent modeling and video.
Sometimes I surprise myself with what I say.. thanks again!
Wow that is stunning scenery..show skill and patience....
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the fence.
Thankyou, a bit fiddly but it’s worked
lovely work, thanks for sharing
Thankyou for watching, and taking the time to comment
I am blown away by the life like appearance you have achieved. This is craftsmanship at a very high level.
That’s very kind of you to say, thankyou!
Absolutely beautiful.
Thankyou ❤️
Fantastic layout 👌 👏 Love the humour too, best thing on TV 📺
I’ve made it to TV, I better put a suit on..not that you’ll see it 😂
Meant to ask, what size (diameter/length) are the skewers that you use please?
@@bazw8975 I’m away at the moment Baz, so I’ll check when I get home and let you know

I have no where else to go... Lovely video, great atmospheric shots at the end. And the balance of sound and music is perfect now.
That’s great to hear, but if you do think of any suggestions, so let me know :)
very nice
Thanks! I hope you continue to tune in to see it completed!
Sat and binged watched all the videos today such a great channel and have loved watching the layout evolve great work 👏👏
Brilliant to know, and bravo for listening to that much of my voice in one go!

Great as always. The sarcasm is not as subtle this week. 7/10 for that.
Thanks for tuning in!
Excellent, like said, very Corris! 😁👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice work. 👍
Thanks Paul, I hope you continue to enjoy the videos!
Very cool. Listen to Ozric Tentacles. They have some pretty neat music that you could use for your background music. Get some disposable gloves too😊
I’ll look them up! Yeah I keep running out of gloves, need to buy them in bigger quantities!

Well played again Sir 👏🏻
Thankyou very much, glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful scenery.....How come you got a Band-Aid on your finger....LOL
Good spot, I pulled some skin off and didn’t fancy the idea of thinners and the like hitting the open wound!

I've done that...OUCH
Magic
Thankyou 🖤

Glad you’re enjoying the channel!
Use barbecue sticks for telegraph poles and even matchsticks for fences.....
Yes, classic techniques!
This may sound silly but could you use and grow live fauna such as bonsai and cress
Very interesting idea, I’ll keep it in mind, could make an interesting series

Great work, subscibed. (Just found channel).
Good to have you board, partner!
Superb realistic scenics, but I presume that you cleaned the rail heads? 15:54
All railheads are squeaky clean when the trains are running ;)
😊
😊
I think the WS guns have two spray modes - have you tried the other one? Great result - layout looking super. Also, what’s the stabby tool?
I’ve just tried it, the other setting is even strong, more of a fine jet. The glue itself is great, but the spray bottle is too much
Oh, and I don’t know what the stabby tool is, I got it about 20 years ago in a knife set, I’ve even taken it to Chester model centre and they had never seen one.. possibly something to do with engraving?

I make trees in as little time as I can, I really give credit to those who spend literal days on a single tree!
Why is it everytime I reuse a spray bottle it turns into a pathetic blob bottle like yours 😂
