I always love it when heritage railways use old rails as fence posts. The museum I volunteer at does that with our 16in gauge rails! Lovely job as always!
Several heritage lines maintain the proud tradition of rail built signal posts. Down in Devon, there's still a fair amount of BG 'bridge rail' in use for this and that, some of SUCH light cross section, you have to wonder whether it's second life uses were the final fruit of Mr.Brunel's "Atmospheric Caper", rather than dating from the end of the broad gauge.
I love that too! I've seen old, old, and very light rail used as sign posts and gas pipeline markers nearby, all from the old interurban we used to have
there is an old bridge near me that used to go over the railway before it closed in 1962, however there is still a bit of rail being used as a fence post
Hubby and I enjoyed the Talyllyn today...felt rather cold for us Aussies. Lovely journey out to Nant Gwernol and back. Road in No.9 pulled by No. 1 looking beautiful in the new livery. It was interesting to see Nant Gwernol in person. I am enjoying this series.
Colin is Welsh born, but had to find work OS after finishing university (way back in the 80's)....South Africa first, then Australia where we met :) He is very much acclimatised to Queensland weather these days
Loving this so creation so far and certainly given me ideas. Talking about the cold feel have you considered hiding underneath the layout a small computer desk Air Conditioner. Just to give people a shiver as they watch the layout at shows?
Informative and entertaining as always, thanks George. Rw: Dremel melting styrene .... if the beastie is 12vDC, could you power it via a variable power supply? Old H&M transformer or whatever (Scalextric trigger gun?)? Just a thought ...

Yes I’m sure it would feel chilly for you guys! But it’s a beautiful place, and good that you can now picture my layouts build as you follow it!

The autumn platform looks great. All the little orange and yellow leaves make it look so nice, great job.
Cheers, they really do add to the scene, don’t they
@@GWilliamsonModels Yeah, the colour is so nice!
Great attention to detail, looking really good. Can't wait for the next step.
Good to hear, I hope it continues to impress
I really liked this video George! Great as always.
Cheers!

Not a bad idea! And maybe I could keep a box of dead leaves behind the layout and chuck them at punters as they pass by
nice 👌
Cheers!
😊

Maybe, I wonder if it’s just heat from the friction. I could slow it down, but I don’t have the time to wait for it 😅
It's wales. Cold windy grey...and especially RAIN need to be included copiously
That’s what I was thinking, no point pretending we have nice weather 😂
Very fab! Autum is one of my favirote times! Ive also been wondering if you were going to do ang Awdry diorama. Fingers crossed for Peter Sam.
Yes it’s slowly coming together slowly, but really does feel like it’s heading in the right direction
Nice! Very nice!
Cheers
Hey George, can you do a more thorough tutorial on how to do black wash weathering?
