Thanks for taking the time to put this video and recording together. Acts as a resourceful source of guidance when planning the station area of any layout, and will be bookmarked for future reference when building my own layouts platforms. 👊🏻 M
I like the Peco plastic platform edges. Available in brick or concrete. Freestanding ready to be glued to baseboard and easily bent for curved platforms.
Justin Noble, what about the island platforms? has I've been talking to Iian about rebuilding my old platforms and looking at this kit but need to go aleast 80mm
Lovely video again Justin....but I1m struggling to work out how the passengers get out of the coaches without disappearing down the dark black chasm......Lol....MIND THE GAP..
That's a feature of all curved platforms, unfortunately... it's impossible to get the platforms closer to the coaches on curves... it's the mathematics of the situation. You'll have the same with ours, Metcalfe's, Superquick, Scalescenes... you just can't shrink the gap due to how far the corners & sides of the coaches stick out.
I thought this kit was a jig so you could make a number of curved platform pieces with it. But it isnt and just makes one relatively small section of curved platform. It would work out incredibly expensive if you needed to build curved platforms as opposed to a small curved section..

Yes you can use it for island platforms. Just use the marking tool provided with the kit to mark out what you need.
Excellent kit thankyou
Glad you like it. They're a tricky build, but they offer lots of scope I think.

good morning
Hey Ron. Hope you're well :)

It could by all means be used as a jig. There’s no reason why it can’t be used that way to build layered, curved card platform walls.
It’s not cheap I agree, but very high quality 🧡
