Very entertaining and inspirational video! 1:04:00 X-ray techs are called x-ray technologists, rather than techinicians. Also known as radiographers. Radiologists, on the other hand, are doctors who interprate the images taken by radiographers, and also often perform interventional radiology. :) Greetings from a Norwegian radiographer!
A professor from Vassar College made a detailed point cloud capture of Notre Dame. It would be interesting to see you use that data to make a detailed SketchUp model. Obviously most of the work would be fixing gaps, edge detection, alignment, reducing the number of surfaces, etc.
Do you know if that point cloud is available for public use anywhere?

It may be difficult to imagine but, I think you can see from this model that, Gothic architecture was the most futuristic thing that anyone could see in the medieval period. Gothic cathedrals were "High Tech" in their day.

How to make curve window on curve surface
So hmmm about the picture at 14:30, this in NOT Notre Dames de Paris, but Notre Dames de Chartres, another cathedral, located in Chartres (the city where my highschool was), it's written on the plan too, but from passing in front of it everyday, i know how it look pretty well. It's Still a Gothic Cathedral like Notre Dame de Paris, just not the correct one :)
main difference is the Beautiful green cooper roof, and the fact that it's still standing...
On the right , there is mouse. But.. What is that he uses on the left ?

the side view you tried to use is from another cathedral, the one in chartres
Or it could be prior to Violet Le Duc renovations in the 1860, when he added the spire.
@@IBPROPN15 talking about 24:23 in the video. It is written at the bottom of the image... "Chartres : Kathedrale". and they wonder why it is different.
