  • Alex Murdaugh’s attorney Richard Harpootlian began shouting while questioning his client’s former law firm partner on Tuesday. “Are you angry at him for stealing your money?” Harpootlian asked Ronnie Crosby. “I have had anger with him, extreme anger,” Crosby said before listing off why he was angry with Murdaugh in the past.

the only way that lawyer could actually get hands on Maggie's half of Alec's assets is by actually killing her. Finding out if Moselle was in Paul's name rather than Alec's name to be the next in line for the property means if Paul was named, then Alec by default as spouse would likely inherit the property... if such was the case then yes "FRAMING ALEC" might have been an unintended consequence given the strict timeline. The property at the time was set to be sold but not yet sold. Since the assets weren't completely liquid yet there is a potential to have Alec register the capital gain if he inherits the property/asset. There may be a lot more to this than you realize. And the prosecution brought this upon their case by opening pandora's box.

Pointing out Alex is “theatrical” in court as a lawyer, that he has the ability to turn emotions on and off easily was THE WORST point he could have made after the tearful testimony the jury watched from the defendant. He only outdid himself with his second question (after getting flustered) “Well do you think he did it??”. Omg. You never ever ask that as a defense attorney. But after reaching the desired endpoint, he tragically continues on to disaster, MORE than entirely reversing the accomplishment he just achieved with his cross. After making his point, he mystifyingly continues on, like a truck without brakes who has made it to the top of a mountain, but then for reasons unknown, drives past the safety of a repair station and continues down the grade on the other side, ending up in a flaming pile of molten aluminum and smoking rubber at the bottom.

Harpootlian erred massively in tangling uselessly with a seasoned trial lawyer and friend of the murdered boy. Harp-poop-ian made a fool of himself. It just made Alex Murdaugh look even more like a monster who in turn hired another grizzled monster to defend him. Ronnie Crosby impressed me more than any other witness on the stand in this trial. A man who is secure in what he has to say because his integrity and ethics are solid. He's not there to take sides, he's there to speak the facts, regardless of whether it benefits the defendant or puts the nail in his coffin. I don't know if Alex killed his family or not, as I have reasonable doubt, but I know beyond all reasonable doubt and with 100% certainty, he caused a catastrophic financial crisis for the law firm and his law partners who were his family and dear, close, personal friends and they were all completely blindsided by the version of Alex they found out he was capable of being. It is a betrayal that would knock most people off of their core foundation and cause a lasting negative impact on their mental health. I wouldn't hesitate to say it could even cause them to suffer from P.T.S.D. by the time this is all said and done. He has to live with the shame and disgrace he has caused, but sadly, I don't think people like that ever really feel bad or sorry or regretful to anyone. The only regret they have is for getting themselves caught!
