Luke, thanks for the great information. I’ve been detailing for about 20 years now and I have learned quite a bit from you. In the kindest way possible I’d like to give you a tip since I’ve gotten so many from you. Don’t forget to take the license plate off the back of the car, the paint behind the plate needs love too. Thanks again for all the valuable info, I’ll continue to watch AND like your videos...keep them coming.
I've busted two members of my competition for the license plate thing. I remove the plate every time, without fail. If I have to break the screws to get the plates off I don't care...I replace them. I'm set up for that sort of thing.
Great video! You’re motivating me to grow my business. Love seeing the products you use and strategies you use to get vehicles done quickly.
this man is ledgend, this video was probably sooo hard to make, its such a long vid yet the quality was a 10 the whole time. getting right angles for us, switching batteries, so much, thanks g
Your content has literally grown with me. I've learned how to be more efficient when I needed it and now how to be more profitable thanks to the new format.
So great! Love that it is working for you man!
Absolutely best car detailing channel for beginners and experts! Your the ONLY one that puts there price out there with no secrets. Love u bro, you have helped me price my first 2 step correction.
Thanks for the awesome video.. appreciate you taking time to share your knowledge! God bless
Absolutely, thanks for watching man!
Awesome video my friend. I want to thank you for all the incredibly helpful information. I'm a 20 year automotive refinishing technician and I'm just starting my detailing business. That being said, your videos have helped so much and I just can't thank you enough...Great work!!
incredible! Thank you for watching man! Really glad to hear that
First time I seen someone detail the exact color and Audi SUV I own 🥰♥️ We haven't had ceramic coating on it yet, but my paint looks like when we left the showroom 🤩 My SUV sits in the sun as well, but we wash it weekly and use a spray wax every wash and or polish it once a month or so. My interior still smell new and its a 2018. When I take it in to maintenance, the service writer says my car is in brand new condition. I have 3 sons and they make sure their shoes are dusted off before entering my car and we don't eat in our car either, only water or non staining drinks lol 😆 👌 Nice work 👏
Dude!!!! I been watching you for years.. you always deliver. Happy New Year and God bless you Bro.
Top-notch Job my friend. well done. Thanks for sharing your passion at this level.
Thanks for all of the info! I love the details of your descriptions :)
Thanks! Glad that they are helpful
Young man this is refreshingly awesome video 💪🏽👍🏽❤️☀️
항상 잘 보고 있습니다~좋은 영상 감사합니다~^^
the videos lately have been great! Really helping me think about my business and decide how to move forward
Really glad Isaiah!
As a 43yo detailer whose been detailing for over a decade, please do me a favor... Please get yourself a couple IK sprayers for your brake buster and APC. Not only will it save you time on every detail, but it'll save your fingers all dang day. Great video man, loving this informative content.
Haha I've got some pump sprayers I love using and yes you're right, it definitely saves a lot of time, but I believe they were full of something else when I was getting this done
I really like that you show people how to make money thanks for all your time sharing love it
Nice Video my Friend! Congratulations!!! Good Job! I love! ;) 🙌
👍 Good Job. All renegade products are the best in the market by far.
Eye candy detail man. Killer body. You're a good detailer too!!
Awesome.
You Have Added Life To This Vehicle's Genuine Paint, Windshield, Headlights And Aluminium Alloys.
You And Your Customer Knows The Value And You Knows The Process of Ceramic Coating.
Two Thumbs Up.
Great Job Manl
"Keep Working Hard" Is The Key Guys!!
Thanks man!
Well done brotha!!! I enjoy watching your videos. I detail on the side. So I enjoy watching and learning i dont have much like you got but eventually I will. I live in Michigan. One day I'll be like u lol god bless bro
Keep working at it man! Over time it is more than possible!
Great job!!! Exactly thats what that type of job cost, minimum $1000 bucks. I used to do same job youre doing for $11 dollar per hour, except ceramic coating. Wash 80 cars in 10 to 12 hours. And not only that .many, many more things, and With out the right to drink water.
Thanks from Brazil.
Absolutely!
Wow amazing job!
Thanks Don!
Looks like a mirror. Great vid!
Sweet Audi.... Scotty Kilmer would like to say something.... 😆
Very nice. Big fan.
your great dude if no one believes it you do for sure
Nice work 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice work, and info bro! I’m going to try that one out.
Awesome! Let me know how it goes!
@@wilsonautodetailing do you use any ceramics from chemical guys ? If so which one would you recommend
Great video... Excellent points about avoiding the auto detail mob's criticism
Definitely! Thanks man!
Bro you are a work horse! Hope your body can keep up with the demands your profession puts on it! Keep up the great work that Audi looks amazing! Not a fan of the shiny tires though lol.
Thanks for the video. Question: What is a "spider pad", and can you post a link on where to buy them? Also, for that LHR 21 would I need 6" or 7" pads? Thanks!
Good job
Very nice. Do you put a topper to protect the ceramic during its cure time. As an example reload with car pro Cquartz.
Amazing vid! When doing this vehicle did you do the interior as well or just the outside?
I never heard of that ceramic coating you suggested.
Did you ever try Servfaces Suave or Ultima, Nanolex Si3d HD or Si3d Max or Gtechniq Crystal Serum light or Crystal serum ultra?
I highly recommend testing them :)
hey Luke, I like your videos a lot! Great content. I'm thinking about starting ym own detailing business
Do you have any content showing the reason behind so many different products and so many processes?
In your video, after the first 15 min, the car looks the same after you use more products.
I believe they all have their properties and do different stuff to the car, but can you describe that in a video?
Thanks a lot!
Subbing been following for a while might get back into detail I stopped before the foam cannon came out lol
Awesome video.
Thanks man!
Have you ever used the Avalon king ceramic coating? And if so how did you find the quality, application and cost ratio? Would you use or recommend?
Scott from Dallas paint correction says its better to use the iron remove before even rinsing/foaming since the water will dilute the product. Any thoughts on that?
Good channel. Subbed
You've quickly become my favourite Car detailing RUclipsr, you're content is so educational rather than just being aesthetically pleasing to watch. Im launching my business as we speak, starting out doing valeting but I want to be a professional detailer! Had my first customer on the weekend and he was very happy with the results!
Incredible! Thanks for the feedback man! I am definitely a lot more passionate about teaching than necessarily making cool videos so that is going to attract some and not others. I think for guys like you who are actually in the business it is probably going to be helpful! Thanks again Dom
@@wilsonautodetailing Keep pumping them out I'm learning so much from you! You're an inspiration :)
Luke would you say that a clay mat is equally affective as to a traditional clay bar?
What are those 2 soaps you used on the foam cannon and why did u use 2 different ones does it help and or work better or differently
Is the 272 just as easy as the zr53 for beginners on ceramic. Which would you prefer for mobile detailing using a garage at a customers house or our personal garage
Also, with the ceramic coating, does it fill in Clear coat scratches, or would you have to sand it down first??
How do like this one compared to Avalon King? Getting ready to pull the trigger, help me out. My first coating will be the last coat black ice and the this one or avalon king
Do you use a brand new microfiber wash mit for every client?
Hey man
Does nano ceramic prevent swirl marks
Great detailer
For every one of your maintenance jobs or just regular jobs where you detailing the outside do you also do the inside or is that a separate job you charge extra for?
So you do Compounding and then polishing?
Hi Luke, I don't know how to contact you other than to just comment, Have you ever used or reviewed Armor Shield IX Nano Ceramic Coating? I am in Arizona with extreme heat conditions 100-119 degrees just about daily. You literally only have 30 seconds to remove it or to buff off. P.S. I love your channel and usually glance at it everyday for new videos. I have really upped my game this year I want to thank your channel for that . I must say I can't keep up with all of the chemicals.lol I use basic but have been doing this work for many years. Thanks Luke!
What is your dilution ratio for the brake buster?
What Swirl Finder Light are you using?
ive watched dozens of your videos and you've helped me so much! I do want to ask, how would you paint correct a vehicle that has been previously waxed, or had the chemical guys hyper wax applied to it? i tried to remove swirls from my car about a week after applying that product from chemical guys and I couldn't get the swirls out. i know it takes practice but i pressed lightly and softly. is it possible that i sealed the swirls in?
Wash the car with a ; stripping wash or Dawn dish soap works as well. It will remove the old wax so you can buff
I have never ceramic i bought a bottle but i really dont no what direct to go to apply it. Was gone buy a junk yard hood in a good condition and try it half way. What you think i should do?
Mr Wilson is this your still your ceramic coating you use for all your details or do you use a different one. I seen a more recent video you were using a different product what’s your best one?
Hey What’s your opinion on Crystal Syrum light With Exo 4?
So what kind of spider pads do you prefer? Maxshine, Skys the limit?
Do you also do the paint inside the doors
Hi Luke, chalk up another 'sweet' lesson; this being on prep staging prior to ceramic coating followed by the actual ceramic coat. Now I know you did the entire detail in 10 hours, what is the cure time on the ceramic coating? Most are either 24-48 hours. Do you advise the owner to garage the car when they pick it up? Great job, as always!!!
Bill B Same question as well.
Yes absolutely! Keep it in the garage for 48 hours! That's my RULE, and I'm not one to compromise on rules like this
Yes perfect to cure in the garage ✊I have a few customers who want me to go through all the work and they want to Keep it outside 🤷🏼♂️I warn them about the consequences of not letting it stay garaged. The best place for it and the products are backed by doing it and curing it the proper way 💎🇺🇸
my detailer returned me the car after the cure was done inside his shop, not before. Understand he is not a mobile one, of course. And his advise was, put it outside your garage in direct sunlight to make it shine more during the first week. The cure stage it's important.
Luke some detailers say if it doesn't come in a glass bottle it's not a true ceramic. Thoughts?
If you use Ceramic coatings do you need to use Wax too?
If no, Can you use Wax with it or would it damage the ceramic coating?
I had never heard of ceramic coatings before so this is a first for me and I am trying to start a detail business so I am curious to know how exactly and ceramic work together or interact with each other.
Hi Wilson, everything ok?
I have one think in my mind, to try in my vehicle the CERAMIC aplication and after, do the WAX coating.
It is the best of the best creation or it doesnt make any diference after the Ceramic?
hey wilson great video, was wandering if you included the price of the ceramic in to the 1000$ price point.
Lots of good information. It looked like during the ceramic process, you were careful not to apply the coating to the silver window trim. Why? Did the sunroof glass panels, rear hatch and side windows get cleaned only?
Good question, I am following up with this car and putting a ceramic on all the glass, so that is when the chrome and pillars will be done, I avoided it in this case because of the prep Ill do with the glass in the future before application
Wilson Auto Detailing So a follow up question is; when coating glass, the rubber seals get coated as well? I guess it isn’t an issue along the top part of the seal on the side windows, the coating between the rubber and the glass (of where the movement is when you bring the window up/down).
How long are you letting the ceramic sit before whipping off
does the temperature of my garage for ceramic coating matter?
Hey Luke, I have just recently started a mobile detailing business. I’m getting started in ceramics and I have carpros ceramic coating and paint correction. I was wondering if you had any tips on polished, like a good polisher and combination of pads and products to use. There are so many different products to use. I’m wondering if you wouldn’t mind giving me some advice on it! Thank you!
Hopefully it’s not too late but here’s what I’ve had good luck with. A nice polisher you could always get a starter polisher on amazon for $125 it comes with basic pads that will get you going. Then upgrade later on. I really like optimums spray polish. They have a compound, a hyper polish, and a few others. All work well
Menzerna 2500, Meguiars 110, Lake country orange foam pad, Lake country microfiber cutting pad. You can get a lot done with just those products. Also I really like CarPro Essence as a final polish, CarPro Eraser before applying coating.
this was a 3k job i forgot what detail shop in chicago charges 3k saw it on YT. you gave her a very good price for 1k bro
Chicago auto pros? Lol
Not sure what you pay for nasiol zr53 but retail it's 119$. Isn't it more cost effective from cost perspective to use gtechniq crystal serum light at 66$ a pop(super easy to use as well and also durable)?
I spend three days applying a coating on my personal vehicles. Day 1 wash and Decon, day 2 paint correction, day 3 coating application. To do this all in one day is so tiring and easy to lose focus.
Definitely tiring, but losing focus is a matter of personal bandwidth I think
Have you ever cleaned a headliner and if so could you make a video on it one day.
How are you doing this out in the sun without getting bad water spots?
thanks for the amazing video, the link for the pad is it not opening.
Just fixed it!!
great vid! one quick question did you wash that wash mitt before using it?
This was right out of the package. There is kind of a falsehood in the detailing world that goes around sometimes where people say that all towels and wash mitts need to be washed before you use them, don't use them right out of the package. Without going into too much detail.. that is simply not true
Wilson Auto Detailing ok that makes sense also i just got a “ gauntlet “ drying towel from the rag company do you think that needs to be washed?
Quick question for you sir. I noticed you using a pressure washer and regular water hoes. Are you not using your own supply of water and electricity? Is it like this with all your clients? Please let me know.
What’s your opinion of some of the new spray on wipe off ceramic coatings?
Those aren't the same. They last a couple of months at best. Chicago auto pros did a testing on those if you go to their channel. I've used some in my detailing as a quick coating but it's not the same as applying a ceramic coat or graphine coating.
I live in west TN and there is no way I could get anyone to pay 1k for a ceramic job. I know the Nashville area has people that make more money than west TN but honestly I couldn’t see charging that much personally. I’ve been detailing for 20 years and to each their own I just couldn’t charge that much.
hi mate, so 1000 dollars it's just for the washing and paint correction of the outside right ? here in france i'm asking 950€ for outside and inside. I wonder if my price is not to low...
What’s your take on the modern day spray type DIY ceramic products?
Spray on is a nice topper but you need a base to get some longevity out of them. If using as a stand alone they offer some decent protection. I use the Megs spray after a wash and then rinse right away, good product
What does your maintenance wash consist of. Only exterior or both interior and exterior
A maintenance wash by definition would not include the interior
Is there enough of this product to apply it to a few cars with 1 bottle?
what was the orange stuff you mixed with the foam cannon soap?
Optimum Power Clean
Hey Luke. My 10 year old shop vac blb350 is starting to make an electrical grinding sound. I’m definitely sold on Ridgid. I’m looking at the HD1600. I suck up a lot of water so I want the 16 gallon tank. Would you recommend that?
Definitely! If that is what you are looking to do with it, sounds like it makes sense for your situation
Wilson Auto Detailing ok, thanks
When doing these details like this are you doing interiors also just curious? I’m slowly trying to get into all this detailing world?
Nope, this is strictly the exterior
Thanks for the reply bk man
Why so much pressure with the polisher? Was there a reason to polish?
have you ever had issues with your neighbors because of the noise you make ??? especially in a quiet neighborhood ... i have done my car once in my garage with the door open and it took almost 6 loud hours and i think is not the best place to do it as a business. i wouldnt feel confortable doing it on a daily basis. what do you think ??
A tip for your wash mit put the white part of it put it in the mit.
I don't actually like to wear the mitts, I'd rather just use it as if it doesn't have that in the first place
I can’t add ceramic coating for my services, because I have no idea what or how much to charge?
Ok my question is when you talk about price for ceramics does that include interior detailing or when you do coatings you don’t treat it as a full detail as in cleaning the interior?
Nope, this is JUST the coating, outside of detailing the door jambs this has nothing to do with the interior
Hey I noticed your pressure washer and I happen to have the exact same one.. but mines isn’t pumping water and idk how to fix it.. any ideas?
Your pump is clogged or broken. I replaced a new pump for a friend some time ago. They are not expensive. His was $30 with shipping.
@Wilson, do you throw away the microfiber towels that you use for ceramic coating?
Definitely!
@@wilsonautodetailing Thanks for the response!! Which microfiber towels do you use for the coatings? Ideally, I'd like to find a quality towel that's cheap.
My local dealership def doesn't give a crap if it is ceramic coated on a trade in. Im pretty sure they would laugh in your face for asking. You get the KBB rough value on a like new car and they say "thats the market".
Wilson been on that profitability
Hahaha yes
About 16:50… what is that spray
How often do switch out the applicator pad to a new one
About every 4 applications
