Living out what all of us mortals aspire to do. What a guy
He’s not like us though. Dude actually fucks with his golf game. Lol. Not one of us. Just a brilliant personality. This dude is Uber talented, and it’s a discount to call him that lol. Man is a beast.
Greg Norman can sign him to liv
And he did it with the kind of cocky flair you’d think you’d have if you were having the heater of all heaters on the biggest stage. This guy literally lived a dream this week. I’m gonna dunk one playing with Rory and then hush up the crowd for him
This is the ONLY whole golf press conference ive ever watched. Such a cool story, and he did what he hoped to do because today im going to go practice.
He's dedicated his life to the game, and the golf gods paid him back with interest.
Only cries with golf. Deserved
never thought of them being ...just or compassionate...lol
What if Greg Norman gives him an offer to play for LIV?!?!?!
Nice comment
Watching Michael Block play was the first time I have ever clapped, cheered, screamed, and jumped for joy while watching golf. Just making it to the PGA championship is an accomplishment. Just shooting 70 in the first round was an accomplishment. Just making the cut was an accomplishment. Still being near the top of the leaderboard throughout the weekend was an accomplishment. And then he hit A HOLE IN ONE!!! And finished incredibly strong with an insane up-and-down on 18 to qualify for next years event. To deal with the pressure the whole time and never letting anything get to him… wow.
Ya we know all that , he already said all that stuff and laid out what he did for us , you don’t have to just copy and paste his accomplishments this week 😂
@@braydenboyko8525you sound pretty darn bitter Brayden. Must be super fun to hang around
@@Tanveerpatel75 😂 replying to a reply , you must be fun to be around
a lot of people don’t get it , golfers get it
@@braydenboyko8525
Better head back to class before you’re marked late pal, can smell the negativity from a mile away. 🤮
A storybook, made for the big screen, prime time, real life victory. What a guy and so cool too. The world needs more people like Michael Block.
Michael has taken care of every golfer's dream. Thank you for the great weekend.
PGA TOUR GIVE THIS MAN A 1 YEAR EXEMPTION for the PGA TOUR for what he's done for the game!!
It would be great but I can't see them do that, sorry. Higher likelihood that LIV TOUR step in and him a spot. 😃(He deserves a truckload of money, right?!)
We don’t need him going to LIV
@@nicholasduncan5842 I don't think he will but frankly, I really don't care. PGA isn't any saint either to tell you the truth.
Anyhow. It must sting for the PGA that LIV Tour players win one of their major championships.
Loved the story about Mr, Block. Don't want to stain it anymore with a discussion about LIV Tour so I just end with this;
He played extremely well under pressure and deserves a major break from the PGA.
Michael should get his own episode on full swing season 2
I'd give him the whole season 2 😂👍
Bones should have him on his, how to play show
I just watched his interview on fore play and Netflix was following him around actually so you probably will see him on season 2
What a nice guy he is, im glad hes back next year and also invit3d to next weeks event 😀
DC?
I can't get enough of Block! This guy made this tournament so special!
Literally reddit
He was unbelievable
That ace on 15 gave me goosebumps. The only other shot that did that was tiger on 16 in 2005. Where his ball posed before going in. It was just incredible.
Man. I'm a former pro golfer who gave up on my dream. Always makes you wonder if you keep giving it a go what you can accomplish. Thanks Mike.
he's one in a million
Previous to the PGA Championship Block has played in 24 PGA tour tournaments, he played in 3 this year. He's not an average club pro he has tour experience.
@@Reloadeez I mean fine. But he's still a golf instructor who just happens to be at the top of his section as a player. It's not like he's out there every week. He has to do really well in section events to be recognized for exemptions while balancing a family/club pro career.
Thanks Bob Smith.
@@bobsmith6370 I'm not knocking him, I'm happy for the guy. I'm assuming he's the highest WGR ranked full time club pro with a 550-600 ranking. As I said he's not an average club pro, excluding Tommy Bolt he probably has more tour experience than any full time club pro ever.
He’s such a good dude couldn’t happen to anyone nicer. I love how someone who time for 15th is a nice big press conference. He deserves every bit of it. I’m so happy for him.
Brooks won the the tourney. Block won the hearts. Great dude
One of the most inspiring things I've ever seen in sport, incredible. This is why golf is the best sport on earth. 👌
Reminds me of "The Rookie" with Dennis Quaid. Same kind of story and love for the game. Just awesome.
Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. Great movie btw.
It’s called Dead Solid Perfect
@@cwells5137 that’s Randy Quaid
What a legend. The people's champion, Michael Block. We love you man, you won the hearts of the fans and we shared your moment in the sun. It was a HELL of a tournament, and I'm so glad you had a good time in my hometown.
So everyone is expecting this guy to finally come back down to earth and he just goes and dunks a hole in one on Sunday with Rory effing McIlroy hugging him. What the hell. I think the PGA just became my favorite major. I’ve always wanted to see a club pro have a day in one of these, and finally it happened
That amateur at the masters (I don't remember his name)
@@4wheelliving132 I remember Bryson as an amateur making some noise at Augusta. The only other Masters am to ring a bell is/was Ken Venturi (RIP)
More views than all other interviews combined at the pga championship. He is one of us. A man of the people.
The world needs more Michael Blocks
People forget, this guy is an excellent player and has been for years. It’s awesome he had a chance to show his talent.
❤ Michael is a reminder of what’s missing not only in professional golf, be it the PGA or LIV but in every professional sport with his authenticity, love of the game and the fun factor, not only for himself but for the fans. A real breath of fresh air that we were so fortunate to witness and remind us of why we really play the game because it’s not because of the $$$. My opinion of way LIV golf will never make it and the PGA better be careful to not follow with limited fields because diamonds in the rough will never get an opportunity to shine like it did in the past 4 days ❤
"I had no idea"..."I made sure I had no idea"....LEGEND. LOVE this man!
For the love of the game. Michael is very thought out about presenting himself to the public. It’s truly not about him but about the game, where his heart is at. Interviews press him to take center stage when expressing his feelings. If he continues to meditate about his swing, following Hogan’s lead that golf is a life long experience, I think he can establish himself amongst the elite in the field.
Watched block tee off on 10 on friday and followed him for a few holes. Honored to have been a along on a small part of his journey
What a guy, love him! And a SLAM DUNK hole-in-1, I've never seen that!
Every 10 years or so, the golf gods bless us with a cool story like this.. fantastic story! Hope his play continues to be good into colonial.
I'm not a golfer (maybe a dozen rounds in my life). But i am sports fan, a lover of human stories, and a believer in being yourself. Michael's response to his performance during this tournament, is super inspiring! Inspiring not just from a sports perspective, but also from a human perspective. With the bullshit distractions dominating the headlines over the last year or two, this was very much needed. Thank you for the highlight of the year (sports and humanity)!
I think we just found Americas new fav Golfer, a regular guy who is making it happen!!
Hats off to club pros who make the game fun for the rest of us.
Not all heroes wear capes, but this guy does jar hole-in-one's right down Rory McIlroys throat on the back nine of major Sunday 🤣🤣
That guy was really honest about what he's trying to do, but, man, does it sound like a lot of work. And focus. Also, he seems like a nice person...trying to share what that moment in the sun feels like. Very kind, humble and generous in his success.
Imagine Brooks winning w out Block? Block made this event and w out Tiger is pumping fresh life back into the PGA
Can you guys please fix the volume on these? The commercials come in super loud in comparison.
I didn't think I could love golf anymore than I did, then you became a brighter light. Good Luck at Colonial. Bunch of us up here in MD rooting for you.
AWESOME!!!!! GOOD LUCK IN FORT WORTH, TX
Vicariously living through this guy. Fucking legend
Watched the PGA 4th round, saw Mike's ace, went nuts along with the crowd, watched him make the save on the last hole to get his exemption. Then watched this interview. Man, I might have to get back into golf, after 30 "linkless" years!
Love this!! Well done Michael - Story of the championship!!
It's so cool how poised this guy is. At 46, he's been through many of the joys, sorrows and challenges of life. He's got a rock solid family and group of friends at this age. He may not be an experienced touring pro but he's a very experienced human being. It shows. He appreciates the moment but he's not in awe of anyone,or anything, nor should he. He's at a sweet spot-- the older athlete who's wise to life but talented enough to hang with the best in his particular sport. All the best this week Mike!
nobody will remember brooks winning in a couple years, but they will remember Mr. block this was awesome for him and golf.
I haven’t heard a roar like that since when Tiger Woods was dominant. Tiger Woods may be done, but the way the crowd just cheered reminded me of how they used to cheer for Tiger.
It’s pretty cool to have him play like he did. He could’ve been anybody he could have been you he could have been me he could’ve been anybody that’s something that we will remember! He was a Nobody that made a name for himself into a somebody, he didn’t win he may never play in another thing ever again, but we will never forget him! It’s so cool that he was in the spotlight like this, even if he never plays again. We will remember him forever! The roar I heard, like I said, was like Tiger Woods back when he was winning he may never like I said play on the tour ever again. This may have been his last opportunity he may be done he may have faded we may not ever hear from him again after when he withdraw from the tournament this past week, he may be done. This guy will never win 82. Michael block will never win 82, but you can tell that a sense of the atmosphere of how Tiger Woods used to be was certainly there. It’s amazing that he was just even competing with some of the top players on the planet. That is just amazing! To make that hole in one was just awesome! It was cool to see a nobody just have confidence honestly, having a nobody playing in a tournament is just as cool as a goat like Tiger Woods it’s different it’s the opposite you’re not winning 82, but you are persevering to do something magical what Michael block did was magical!
He gives more to an interview than any your pro has in the past 10 years
Michale Block has found new fans and inspiration from this!
This is why LIV golf will never be important, it has no heart, no emotion
Good on ya Mike!! Keep it going :) You were the best story of this PGA hands down. You've proven that sometimes there can be nearly fairytale endings. Hoping you can finish Top 10 at the Colonial, as you've certainly made a lot of fans this week
I can't speak for everyone else but when that last putt dropped I cried too, Michael. It was a pleasure watching you this week. Listening to how you approached each round was so much different than the Tour guys and I've learned a lot from you.
What an awesome dude, I cannot believe what I’ve seen this week from this man.
Life changing 4 days for a beauty of a man. Go get em.
That's great! I'm glad he's in at Colonial.
Well done young man. Continued success. Cheers from Chattanooga!
Michael Block, getting primed for the senior tour. Off to a great start - Michael Block !
After hearing more about him, he's no slouch. This was his biggest payday, but he's cashed a few big checks in his life. If he were to get serious and practice more he may just make the senior tour
What a tournament! Well done Michael and Brooks
Just keep doing what you are doing Michael Block, living the dream, play well and good luck at Colonial .
Great vibes and great morals. Congrats mate
most interesting major i have watched in years (well most enjoyable to me). Getting to see this dude for the last 3 days has been unreal.
Also the reason i'm thinking some of these tours will be in trouble before too long. RUclips golfers are relatable and just starting to provide something, things like changing balls etc is just going to make the gap wider between these guys and the rest of us, also sims are really taking off. PGA has to somehow stay relevant or it could be an interesting few years. Stories like this saves their ass briefly.
Goes without saying this is such a great story. I watched all 4 days including the walk and talks with Michael. Today when he was on 3 tee I said to my Dad "wouldn't it be something if this guy makes a hole in one today?" Little did I know...
Super refreshing man what a ride!!
I got my 1st hole in one yesterday. Before his. I was able to get back in time to see his live
Well done!
Awesome timing! Congrats!
When he made the hole in one on 15th I couldn’t stop jumping up in air and when he made par putt on 18th hole and couldn’t stop crying and I was say,”you’ve the man and you f did it
Messiah of Golf. For Life.
Not quite .. 😂 I’m pretty sure tiger is the messiah of golf if you know what messiah means
Whoa. Take a beat. You won’t remember his name in 3 weeks.
I haven’t seen anything like this since Tim Tebows playoff run in Denver GOD BLESS.
Class act. Wish him much continued success.
What a mensch. Love how he talks about not looking at the leaderboard, just grinding to play they best he can. That's golf. Even when there are 75 other guys playing the tournament your only real competitor is the course and your self. He embodies the spirit of the game. Congratulations, Michael!
You deserve it your never to old well done made me cry hole in one I’ve had 2 🐶😻✂️🇪🇸😎
The “im going, no im filling it up” got me😂😂
What a guy! Brilliant story, stuff dreams are made of
US Open get this living legend to grace your tournament, bringing back the dreams of every person that plays weekend golf in America 🇺🇸. We need him paired with Tiger and Phill!!!
What a great guy!
Such a nice guy. Deserves the break and looking forward to seeing more golf from him next week.
Call me crazy but the up and down in the 18 was as amazing as the hole in one. I was watching it on live TV and the moment when I saw where the ball ended up with his second shot on the 18 I was like "That's it. There's no way he can make par from there". And then that third shot. I mean...that third shot was just pure perfection and I really think most of people can't see yet how difficult that third shot was for a man who is not a Pro. Because that was actually a shot from a Pro golfer. Forget the hole in one. Most of times a hole in one in just pure luck. That third shot on the 18th was pure class.
Always keep it real Block! I had tears along with you. Congrats and good luck at Colonial! We'll be pulling for you.
Such a humble man! So happy for him! As an Orange County guy myself, it’s so cool to see a local success story. Good for him and his family.
Just a real guy, great to see
It’s funny that this guy gets 6 more minutes than brooks , the guy who won the tournament and a guy who was number 1 in the world and who won two different majors back to back and who now has 5 majors which only about 20 people have done
Someone should have asked “Have LIV tour approached you yet?” 😂 love this guy. I’m gonna watch this weekend because he’s in it
Congrats on the Colonial invite 👏
A lot of good golfers out there you never get to see the PGA need to make more places available to give these players a chance to break through
Please tell me you like the Tin Cup reference to kids & dogs 😂 love it
See you at the Colonial! Good luck Michael!
This is awesome
Absolute legend
Top man ⭐ great to see a real guy doing well ( I bet Scheffler regrets having that personality bypass now )
What a class act.
hopefully it doesn't get to his head. What a week for the man
No way. This man is 46 and down to earth. He's enjoying this ride while it lasts
Legend
I love this guy. He’s just like a normal guy (albeit one who’s insanely good at golf) among these professional professionals!
What a beauty
"Cinderella story, outta no where, former greenskeeper about to become the PGA champion. Tears in his eyes"
Can't wait to see the movie!
That hole in one was mind boggling!!! God was looking after him. Hope he goes low at colonial
Michael Blocks videos are towering over Brooks for views lol
great confidence to go along with it. Could easy be on a camera talking golf
Colonial............epic. He might feast on that course too.
I like your swing hope to see you in US OPEN
There’s a role model for life. Well done.
Just "Wow"!
What a dude
love it

Man, talk about livin' the dream!
I absolutely love a good Cinderella story
