And none of the story lines go anywhere.
It's as if the show was called lost, not because they are on an island, but becaue the story is completely lost.
Nothing was explained. You just named like a quarter of the main characters and then started saying random shit.
YEAH. Like LOST. There you go.
D. Falco, I think you need to watch this again. Then go to station 4 and watch that video. Once you do that, send me a message using the message chute so that I know you go it.

The island was the source of life on Earth, with the powers to heal and move around time, among others. It traditionally has a guardian to protect it that has powers of their own, but a few hundred years ago the task was given to two brothers, who ended up fighting and killing one another, with one of them becoming a smoke monster who just wanted to leave the island but couldn't.
Over the centuries many groups found the island, including ancient egyptians, who built a lot of cool stuff on there because that's what the Egyptians did. Most important to the story however, In the 70's a group of scientists discovered it and began trying to exploit its resources and did a bunch of crazy scientist things, like importing polar bears and building bases and psychological tests, and things went south when a bomb was tossed into a major system that disrupted the balance of the island's power. This led to, among other things, a need to vent the island hourly to avoid a power overload, and a 100% mortality rate for babies conceived on the island.
The island, seeking to correct its imbalance, pulled in an airline that had the child Walt on it, who the island knew could be its next and good protector and restore it to it's proper power.
In the process the other survivors of the crash,(including Walt's terrible father) leftover scientists, the two previous guardians of the island (one of them a smoke monster) and a few others that had discovered the island's location, tried to kill each other because the secret of life is a great thing to have. There was a timeloop/fate paradox involved along the way. Some of them died violently and lived short lives, some got off the island and lived long full lives. (All of them had the interesting parts of their lives till then shown in flashback.)
Eventually the old (smoke monster) protectors of the island were dealt with, Walt became the new protector of the island, and as reward to all of them for their hardships and suffering, granted them a new afterlife where they lived better lives overall and were reunited with the most important people in their lives.
Some of these details were told out of sequence or in flashback for dramatic effect, which causes some confusion, most notably the series epilogue was the side story of the entire final season. They were *not* dead all along. Also, there was a dvd extra in the final season that explicitly addressed and cleared up a few minor details.
Who could what?
Yea! The island knew could? .... Could what?
YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT

This show gets a bad rep for a series that is actually philosophically profound.
Your comment is a breath of fresh air in this section.
Exactly. They weren’t lost in a literal sense. They were morally broken individuals who had lost their way through various reasons. They needed one another to find their way. They were all “Lost” in their own personal hells
@@orianacristinagonzalezzapa971 Explain?
@@greencoffee5510 it was a soap designed for binge watching. you could tell they made up the story as they went along.
@@greencoffee5510 that's not a personal opinion. imbecile. That's LITERALLY how the story was made. They didn't even know what to do with the monster. They first wanted it to be a big foot type of character but the cgi was terrible. Most of the characters don't even have a moral dilemma. Their past revolved around having no control over their lives. Then the two brothers plot was introduced and it became a convoluted mess of good vs bad that made absolutely zero sense and added nothing but unanswered questions to a terrible show.
Lost from the dog's perspective. Mind blown. TV is good again
There are 22k dislikes for a reason
The problem Lost had is that it was only supposed to be a couple of seasons. So that's how it was written. Then the first season was so popular they extended it massively so now the writers had to fill up whole seasons with filler that wasn't originally part of the story. I wonder what the show would have been like if it was done how it was originally wrote.
Far better and stood the test of time as one of the best ever like firefly
This video is proof that these guys didn't actually watch or understand the show. GG.
1:21 both the others and the smoke monster 100% have motivation. I’m sure the others don’t need an explanation, but the smoke monster is explained in S6.
This was horrible, all I got from this was a summary of the first season. (which i watched and then stopped watching LOST). What else happens in the other seasons!?
me too this suck
+The757packerfan well there was this blue tree and...
was the blue tree even real or a lie
+The757packerfan Don't bother. The writers did not have a story, they just kind of made crap up as they went. So all those mysteries they bring up... get thrown away or given crappy ends so they can throw in some other half baked idea. You don't want to watch any more. Trust me... keep that romantic idea that the writers were not completely incompetent or you'll feel cheated for having watched as much as you have.
lots of amazing shit if you pay attention
What try hard bad jokes about LOST. He really must of been LOST about LOST. lol
OMFG!!! I've always said I wanted a Vincent spin-off!! Just the entire show from the dog's perspective, and it would be so good because we could learn secrets that of course he doesn't understand, but we do!
Been saying this for years, and no one's ever agreed with me. No one's ever even mentioned it 😂
I would have also loved a spin off where we got to see the characters having fun and enjoying the perks that come with island life, that would have been such a good watch
this is the sort of explanation you get from someone who didnt understand a damn thing from the show.
I am sorry to be mean, but I actually wanted to know the end. Like real information!!!! You made me waste my time. No cool!
At the end they all, at their own moment, die. Just like you will do and I’ll do, some will do it earlier and some later but we’ll all die. They get to meet at the purgatory where time doesn’t match our reality, there’s no past or future, there’s no now. Then, they all transcend to the after life.
It’s a really good and emotional end. Don’t let you convince by people who say that it was just made up along the way, it was thought from the beginning and the mixture of sci-fi and magic (religious stuff) is a good example of how we don’t know anything about existence. Hope it was helpful

Two guys who think they're funny, but really waste everyone's time. Well done.
Lost was and is one of the best shows ever. I love when I read comments from people that clearly didn't understand it at all. You have to watch this on DVD not TV. You can't watch a show like this over years and years and expect to connect all the dots. Nothing pisses me off more than when people tell me they were mad when they found out they were dead the entire time. OMFG THEY WERE NOT DEAD THE ENTIRE TIME! JACK'S DAD EXPLAINS THIS IN THE CHURCH AT THE END. HE LITERALLY SAYS TO JACK. " YES YOU'RE REAL ALL OF THEM ARE REAL AND EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED IS REAL. THIS A PLACE, FYI PURGATORY, THAT YOU WENT TO WHEN YOU DIED TO MOVE ON TOGETHER." Jack even asked if it was real how are they all here and his dad explains its purgatory there is no time here. Some died before you and some not till long after you.

While I'm sure this video has entertainment value for someone, it serves absolutely no purpose for the 99.9% of people that clicked on this video based on its description.
Lost is about people who have lost their integrity overcoming their own personal BS to become more than what they were through realizing their need for reliance on other people, as is the nature of real life.
Seriously? People disliked the video because it didn't explained lost in 4 min? Lost didn't explain lost in 6 seasons!
This is video is literally a joke! And people took it seriously.
Every single person who loves this show has watched every episode. On the other hand, no one who hasn't watched every episode of it would say they love the show. This is not something you can say about most shows and therefore speaks volumes about the show itself but also about the kind of people who form and propagate certain opinions about it.
@@orianacristinagonzalezzapa971 You calm down.
i’ll give you a break because this was 6 years ago and you were prolly 7 years old at the time but… bro literally what were you talking about lmaoo. you can say that about every single show.
if people love a show, they’ll watch all of it. yea? this is obvious. no one’s ever said they “LOVE” a show and then been like “ah yea but i didn’t wanna watch all of it.” this is true for every show.
if someone hasn’t seen every episode of a show, they probably don’t love it and probably wouldn’t claim to. because if they did love it, they would watch every episode. because they love it so much. this is true for every show.
your statement literally makes no sense and says nothing about the show or the people who watched it or who “propagate certain opinions about it” lol 💀💀💀
@paradocks , no, bro, you can't say that about every single show. That's exactly my point.
How many people love game shows, competitions, makeover show, reality tv in general and love it enough to say they love it, but haven't watched every single episode of the shows they love? Exclude all those, you say? Because they're not scripted, you say?
Your call. How many people say they love Family Guy, but don't watch every week? Oh, but that doesn't count because it's an animated show, right?
Ok, how many people loved The Big Bang Theory, but haven't watched every episode? Oh, I can't take that one and ones like it into consideration too? Why not? Because it's a sitcom?
Fine, how many people say they love their CSIs or NCISs or L&Os but haven't watched every single episode? Oh, these ones are out, too? Because they're not heavily serialized, you say?
Alright, how many people say that they love 24 but haven't watched every season? You don't get much more serialized than 24. You see how this is going? How most tv shows are actually shows that people can love and say they do, without watching every single episode?
So, yeah, with Lost, you can't love it or enjoy it fully, let alone understand it, if you don't go through the absolute full experience. And this is something you can't say about most shows. So I stand by my initial remark.
Which brings me to the second part of it. The show is touching, dramatic, it takes the viewer on a journey about some profound themes about community, about faith, about the human existence, but it's not hard to understand. It's obviously mysterious and plays around with some secrets (characters and mythology) for quite some time, but it's not hard to understand. This is something that only someone who has watched the whole show knows: that it isn't hard to understand. But I mean really watched, actually watched, not fell asleep and skipped some episodes, not watched while scrolling on Instagram, not saw some unbelievably stupid videos like this one and felt entitled to an opinion.
Sadly, most people who have a bad opinion about the show, who propagate lies about the ending, who insist on false ideas about questions not being answered, mysteries not being resolved or plot holes not being filled with proper explanations are people who haven't watched it all. It's that simple.
Most shows comunicate enough of themselves each episode or each season, for people to have informed opinions about it, even without having watched it all, and that includes loving it, hating it and everything in between. But Lost? Lost belongs to a small portion of TV shows that is different in that regard. With shows like Lost, unless you have watched it all, you don't have a right to an opinion about it and yet here we are, commenting on a video based on worthless opinions from people who didn't actually watch the whole show, but somehow felt the need to propagate lies about something they don't know enough of and, sadly, influence other people to stay away from something whose greatness they couldn't understand. How could they understand it, if they haven't watched it all?
I personally think Lost is nothing more and nothing less than the best television show of all time, but that's not my point, because I don't expect everyone to feel the same way I do about the show. I just don't enjoy displays of "entitled ignorance" of which this video and many comments here are examples of.

This makes no sense, Lost was planned start to finish before the show was even filmed. The writing of the episodes weren't but the basic storyline stayed the same
Not even close, unfortunately. The LOST writers guide from early 2004 will paint a picture that's very much unlike the murky and convoluted scifi that the show became. Lots of early interviews. Truth is, J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof had a wonderful idea to start a show, and...then it got popular. And the rest is well documented history!

TL;DW they like to make fun of movies/series while pseudo explaining what happened
I feel the whole series consists of 3 different massive room escape games.
Can someone explain to me how a group of trained Hollywood writers can actually get a show on the air with ZERO plan for how or where to take said show? And essentially just make stuff up as they go? Like really? This blows my mind!
+EdotW They didn't have zero plan for where to take the show. They had an entire plan that they gave to ABC before they were picked up. They only wholly made stuff up as they went along for the first few episodes (as they threw out a lot of the plan they gave ABC). Halfway through Season 1 they began planning things out in advance (and they always had an answer in mind whenever they introduced a new question into the show so that they wouldn't just be throwing random stuff out there when it came time to end the show).
i admit the 4th season is kind of bland. but everything else about the show is worth the watch.
