Incredibly helpful. I had been playing around with this way too much on my own since I got the TV last Thursday, and thanks to this video, and following your settings, it's now fantastic. I can finally stop the obsessive endless adjustments!
What did u adjust.??. I put warm 2 instead of 0. AND Black HDMI on auto. Anda dynamic contrast off
You seriously made my day, was looking for instructions as to switch on HDMI UHD Color settings for ages ...
Chris C Same. I spent a couple hours messing with it to no avail until I stumbled across this video.
God bless ur soul just got a free tv from friend and the brightness was skewed heavily thank you❤️
Enable uhd color on external HDMI imputs for HDR content enable HDR + mode backlight 20 brightness 0 contrast 100 color 50 sharpness +5 tint 50/50 dynamic contrast set low color space set custom select DCI p3 gamma will automatically select st.2084 gamma +3 for all SDR content HDR+ mode set to off backlight 20 brightness -2 contrast 100 sharpness +5 color 50 tint 50/50 dynamic contrast set low color space 709 ( auto ) gamma +2 please not make sure all new setting are applied for external imputs for Blu Ray players etc. Hope this helps customers that own samsung mu 6 series models I use it for my own and TV looks amazing I've used other online settings and thought they were too dark these seem to work took months to finally tweak off and on just right .
Tried these settings ......the best ive seen
I learn a lot from you guys. Thanks!
Great work guys, really helpful!
Dude amazing video thanks for the detail and explanation.
Well done Gentlemen... Well done.
Nice job. Touched all the bases.
Thank you very much for this
can you make a video of the pc mode on different TVs where HDR color is showing properly or not?
Thank looks dam good on my tv but for hdr does contrast enhenser also need to be off?
WonderfulVery helpful
For all those that own Samsung mu 6 series models please.try these setting make sure external uhd color is on for all HDMI imputs HDR+ mode on backlight 20 brightness 0 color 50 contrast 100
How do you turn on all HDMI inputs? I can only select HDMI 1. "This function isn't available" on HDMI 2 and 3.
@@StormTrooperFN2187 probably not supported on those devices.
I have a question: i'd like to connect S-Video from old consoles like the N64 to this TV. What would be the best or easiest solution?
I thought you guys wrote "warm 1" was best on a 6290, and warm 2 was best on an 6300. Yet, this video says Warm 2 for both.
For HDR contets, we should use dci-p3 or rec 2020 color space?
Can i use this on Gamemode ? and if i want play HDR Games, witch settings can a use. ?
Will the settings work for the MU6445? Thanks
Would you recommend PC mode for Xbox one x, thanks neil
So if I have a signal input 4K60 Hz 3940 :2160 Are the settings the same thank you I love your videos
What’s the best setting to watch sports?
im gonna buy the 49MU6300, just saw on the video that you dont put as available the 49'' size on that model, why's that ? the MU6300 that i'm seeing n 49'' here in latam is the same as the one u talk on the video ?
The UHD color seems to create color screen flasing for a split second once in a while, any reasons why?
Noise 😎👍
TV on the left has richer color than right or I missed up something?
So there MU series are essentially the same as the N series just different year?
Hello! Who has ghosting effect in FIFA or another games? How to solve it? Just noticed today...
Can you guys do one for the mu7100? I have this tv and can't find the picture settings online
In my 2015 Samsung TV, the settings are worse in YCbCr 4:4:4 using a Radeon video card. Sharpness must be 50 in order to look good on Lagon.nl.
Can you review the Samsung MU7350? Whats the difference between the MU7000 and MU7350?
Do you recommend movie mode over game mode (in this case 20 point white balance grey out for example) if you prefer better picture quality for gaming?
@@vojtaseknate My question still refers to the quality and not the input lag...
Thanks anyway
Ok so the problem i have is the whiteness seems too bright. Things like the sun or if im inside and looking out a window in red dead the brightness seems crazy. I have contrast on 45 and contrast enhancer on high because if i don’t have them both quite high then the screen seems really dim? I have been told the brightness issue could be my contrast but i need it high because otherwise the screen is just really dark?!
I noticed that when I watch HDR content through Amazon Prime and RUclips, my 6290 automatically increases backlight to max.
I know the 6290 doesn't have wide color gamut or enough brightness for true HDR, but I guess fake HDR is better than no HDR right?
Can it use on my MU 6179 whitout this Settings ?
Which one is better mu 6100 or mu 6300
Can we use this TV in India 🇮🇳 bro?? We use a voltage rated for 120v - 240v& 50Hz in India.please reply me .Thanks :)
Can you do this video for the LG uj6300 please
• Nakos • the blacks are so bad I returned it however I did like a lot of things better than the samsung i exchanged for
myjy lol I'm switching in 1 month from this one to the best TV out there, the Sony AF8 in 55' ^^ Switching the worst TV to the best litterally LOL
What's the difference between this And the silver one
What should ST.2084 be set to? (HDR content) Default is 0.
hello, I have a mu6400 tv, please tell me how to solve the problem with hdr.
when a movie with hdr is turned on, the brightness drops terribly and everything is dark.
maybe there is a setting in the service menu to solve this problem
how to adjust input lag for a PC connected to the MU6300, after selecting PC and enabling HDMI UHD color not able to use "gaming mode" so how can I improve input lag for PC connection ? I have tried various default Picture modes standard, dynamic etc, disable and enabled the HDMI UHD. but no way to turn on gaming mode, unless I disconnect the PC from Samsung TV, then I able to select gaming mode. The video does appear to address this concern.
Why not use the Dynamic Picture mode which look good?
is this good too mu6275
Hi! Does anyone know what settings we might potentially change if we are buying an Xbox Series X or Playstation 5?
No. It's still a 60hz and low quality HDR TV. Doesn't matter because next gen will simply look better when displayed on this older TV. I play Xbox One X on my 2008 Samsung 32" 720p from time to time when my family is on this TV. Doom Eternal looks amazing and you would never mistake it for an older gen game on this 12 year old TV. Supposedly has only 6ms lag and 10,000:1 contrast! I have no idea why newer TVs have higher lag even though the technology is better.
So for watching any 4k Blu Ray with HDR, always max out the Backlight setting?
Chris B yep
Would you choose this tv or a q6f? Thanks a lot
Mauricio Mda q6f 1000000% or try for a q7
0 sharpness is ridiculous. It looks blurry. I set mine to 25 although I've never had a problem with the default of 50.
can I ask about color differences when playing mkv on PC and TV?
I played MKV files on pc use MPC Classic and looks good with color...
but when playing MKV files in PC use USB/ Harddisk the color looks washed out/ not saturated
Idk, is that because of tv apps codecs isn't good as PC apps?
or I can tweak in somewhere to get the same result?
I use Samsung 43"NU7100 btw
How do I get better picture for cable samsung 55" class 4k ultra hd (2160p) hdr smart tv
how to connect bluetooth speaker on samsung version 04/unu7100
These options for samsung mu6675 are ok?
So what's a better low end tv .this one or a lg 6300
Definitely this one
Cameron McBride low end LG tv’s don’t have full 4K so always go with another brand for low end. Samsung makes good low end TV’s. LG makes great high end TV’s though like their OLED
Does it still have the CE Dimming? Any steps to disable the CE Dimming? I am planning to buy new TV but this CE Dimming in Samsung TVs kinda bug me.
Irvan Fardani CE dimming is off in PC mode or not as bad in movie mode.
How do I get Picture in picture on this model of tv?
It Is necesary to do the settings manually? Like white settings or color mode?. I just set up like u show on the video. This worns for a nice quality image ? :)
Is there a reason you guys don't review panasonic tv's? I know panasonic have been known to produce some of the best tv but I wasn't sure if they have been lacking recent years making them non worthy for reviews....
xWar_ 88x yea they don’t make anything noteworthy anymore. It’s mostly LG, Samsung, and Sony making the best TV’s currently
Gewdvibes ah okay, i wouldn’t say Lg is any better with there lower/mid ranged fake 4k tvs only displaying 2.8k due to the the white rgb decreasing the resolution!
xWar_ 88x yea that’s true, LG makes very good high end TV’s but garbage low end TV’s. Samsung probably has the best low end TV’s
yeah I was recently shopping for a decent 4k in my price point and come across the lg UJ651v which I bought and when I set it up it just looked utter garbage, texts were blurred and it was no where near as sharp as my old ju6400 samsung so I got refunded and went for the sony xe70 series. Not disappointed with sony at all, great picture, I went for the 55 inch model since it's a VA panel, can't stand ips but overall amazing tv. I was really wanting to go for the x80 since it has triluminos colour but from what I read the x80 are all ips panels no matter the size, it's the x850 upwards 55 inch that have VA panels again.
I did not get a Standard remote on my 6400 ....
I just got this TV and an Xbox One X. The X1X says my TV is not compatible with HDR. Can you help me with what settings should I adjust to get the TV to display HDR content? Thanks!
Andrewje85 did u ever figure it out?
Same question as BigMacAttacks!
did you watch the video at 2:10? go to general->external device-> uhd color and turn on for whatever input the Xbox is connected to.
Spaceshipper2 For see my comment if you haven't figured it out.
also make sure you're not using a really old hdmi cable. the one that came with your Xbox will work.
Correct gamma 2.2 or bt.1886? My TV Samsung RU7400
2.2
can i use the smart remote from the mu6300 on the mu6290?
jason rebelo no, you can't
okay thanx for the info
What should I do to tone down the reds? I just purchased a Samsung 6290 and people’s faces, especially when watching the news are incredibly red.
legacy4487 what are your current settings? The flesh tones look great on mine
I use standard color tone not warm.
plzzzzzzzzz help best picture setting Samsung UE49MU6202 !:(
Anyone know why is my game mode lock? Please help
when I connect it to Mac it only shows resolution as 1080 not 4K, any idea on it?
How did you solve it?
Hdmi 2.1???
Will this work on the mu6100?
Shreebardhan Tripathy I think so, bro :)
I did use it (with some minor adjustments like I used Warm 1 color tone) on my MU 6179 and I am quite satisfied! ^-^
Can you write your settings?
Christian Simon Thanks! Let me try the same
Why are nearly all settings greyed for me? I can't even choose the movie picture mode, I only have standard and dynamic.
You are probably in the special PC mode. Try changing the icon of the input to something else, like 'Blu-ray player'.
What about dynamic mode?
More reviews, less settings videos please! You are the only site of your kind and having a fuller database of scores is far more important!
Looking forward to the new TV reviews! You guys do good work.
We are currently improving our test bench in preparation of the new 2018 TVs. Stay tuned!
More settings videos please! :) It's very interesting.
This or sony x75e?
If you select PC mode you don't get any settings. In expert settings you get backlight, brightness, contrast, sharpness, and color tone. In picture mode you only get standard and dynamic. Almost all options are removed. Colors look awful and washed out. What settings are you supposed to use to get the best performance and color on a PC? My 2010 1080p Sony TV has far better color in a side by side comparison and i would really like this TV to get looking good.
How to setting ps4 pro without game mode??
If game mode off Fps like, drop, stuttering, lag, please help
anyone whose planning on getting these TVs expect light bleed, or consider yourself lucky if you don't have any
What size do you have, because the 43 inches version uses an IPS panel with lower contrast than VAs and probably more light bleed.
I can’t put on game mode for some reason
To have the best input lag while playing games via a video game console or PC, you can keep the general settings mentioned above and turn on 'Game Mode' from the 'External Device Manager'.
If you continue to have issues though, you’d have to reach out to Samsung for technical support. Sorry about that!
I can’t get a good picture on this tv. Is it the tv or me? Im about to get rid of this thing
Settings for nu 6900?
It's the same settings.
Just go to Rtings.com and find the correct setting there. Hope that helps.
Anyone else with this tv who plays on a game console have bad judder problems? With auto motion plus on, the juddering decreases but a bizarre flickering of objects on the screen occurs. With auto motion plus off, the weird flickering goes away, but then the judder is just overwhelmingly obvious. I got a Samsung tech to come and replace my tv's motherboard, as he noticed something was off. However, that didn't seem to do much. The juddering is just terrible, and he pretended like it wasn't. Im at my wits end and im about to return the damn tv. I spent money on a PS4 Pro so I could do 4K gaming the right way. This is not right, it is wrong. I think I'm done with Samsung. Hopefully someone on here has another idea? Cause im out of them.
Based off what I read on their review, it looks like there isn't a way to get rid of it. I would recommend getting a different tv to be honest =[
Ugh, yea it's just pretty unfortunate. I'm definitely not getting another samsung tv after this.
resisthk3 it's not so much that you can't get another Samsung TV. I would suggest that if rting has a review up for it, then look in the judder free section and see if it's judder free or not. That way you don't expect that :(
The PS4 Pro cant actually do 4K gaming. Well, technically there a re a handful of titles that are bu the vast majority are dynamic '4K'. Think, 2K re-resolution upscaled to 4K. If you want native 4K gaming on console you should have gone with the XBO X, and even then not all games are native 4K.
U fucked up ps4 pro is garbage.

All 6290's must not be the same. This guy's recommended settings look terrible on my set. My cheap Sanyo color looks better than this thing. I have owned the set for over 2 months and cannot get a satisfactory look. Get it right for one channel and the next looks like crap. No more Samsungs for me.
I take it back. I found another guy's recommendation(Quantum Apotheosis) on the settings and he nailed it. The color and picture is great. Not sure why Samsung sells a tv with such poor defaults. Took a lot of tweaking but finally got it.
Marty W My 40" MU6300 is just wonderful. Great picture, colors look really nice too.I'm satisfied.
Marty W do you have a link for those settings?
Marty W hey do you have a link to that video? I went to Quantam s channel and couldn't find it.
hchavez29 still trying to get mine right 😂 have had it for about 2 years
For best settings pretty much just use default..
Alright..
There's no way sharpness 0 looks good. Using for a Xbox One. Sharpness 50 or everything is blurry.
For 4k stuff... Basically if u don't play native 4k it will do that...
This tv series sucks. I got it today. The luminance is very low. I don't consider this tv hdr
hellsburn oner I know right turning mine back in for a ks8000
Choas X um you can’t compare a $1500 TV to this 400$ tv. That’s like comparing a civic to a Ferrari
Same here im going to get the q8 2017 not happy with this tv barley had it for 6months
Ive been having a distortion flash issue, gets pixelated, flashes green, red, blue or white. Really annoying, convenient that it started outside the warranty. Shoulda went LG.
Where the fuck is Cedrick?
