Still love it, had it for 3 years. Great picture now that there's better streaming for 4k. I use it for gaming to, Xbox and switch. Its running constantly and hadn't had any issues. I've been curious to buy a newer one but don't feel I need to. I doubt I'd notice much of the differences.

lxl KHARMA lxl I went and saw OLEDs, QLEDS and a tonne of TVs yet the NU8000 looked the best. I had extremely high expectations of OLED but was pretty suprised that the difference really isn't that great and burn in is too much of a concern for me.

It the best TV for gaming at this price point. Plus Freesync 2. My Vizio P65-F1, only does 1080p at 120hz. So I'm just baffle at the NU8000. Such underrated TV for AMD gaming.

Mix of fast pace and the usual. I want the low lag and 1440p at 120hz. Am I doing the right thing?! I'm losing the curve and overall look... and maybe other things or no?
The NU8000 is basically the cheapest way to get some of the amazing HDMI 2.1 gaming features in 2018. Gamers (especially Xbox gamers) need to get this or a Samsung Q series. The best thing to do is wait until next year, when EVERY TV will have these features.
I don't have wide seating in my living room so I didn't care about the viewing angles and went ahead and bought the 65NU8000 but I was still curious how the viewing angle affected the picture quality based on your review. For the life of me, I cannot see the degradation in brightness or gamma shift even at a near 180 degree horizontal angle, the vertical viewing angle does affect the picture quality though.
Dude went ham on the review! Happy with mine so far. For $1700 its a great bargain and performs well with streaming device (apple tv 4k) and ps4. No need to purchase those 4k blu-rays.
This TV has motion "locked'. Always ghosting or blurring but it's a software problem. The panel is great. To unlock It and have motion score like Q7FN (I've both) follow these steps: 1) go to service menu and disable DVFS. Start the TV. 2) go again to service menu and enable DVFS. Try and you'll be surprised. No more blurring or ghosting and fast smooth motion.
My settings: Standard image settings 46-50 backlight Brightness 0 Contrast 50 Sharpness 9 Color 26 Auto motion auto Digital clean view low Contrast enhancement: high High Local attenuation Color tones: cold Bt1868 0 (st2084 +3) Native color space Movie mode disabled Eco settings: deactivated Do not touch the other settings Optimized audio mode Set audio delay from 40 to 0 Auto volume: on Audio feedback: low PCM input audio format and auto volume System management: disable auto protection duration (important change to unlock DVFS and optimize TV video fluency at the top) Leave the other default settings unchanged Final step: Settings-> Terms & Privacy: Accept all uppercase entry only (SERVICE SUPPORT MENU TERMS AND CONDITIONS ETC.). I just bought the 55" nu8000 for $699 at BJ's 3 weeks ago and I love it for gaming on the Xbox1X and for watching TV on Verizon Fios and their new TV One 4K boxes which upscale the picture in 4K HDR and looks so much better than the Fios Quantum boxes! I was looking at the Vizio 55" P series which was the same price but with the FreeSync and Samsung quality I had to pick the nu8000!

@@Jay-vl3rv Wary of Samsungs (shame due to me being a Samsung fanboy). I suggest looking into the Sony 900f with full-array, or if the budget is tight, the Sony 850. Both are solid LEDs that are bright screens and fast processors. Sucks that Rtings doesnt look at TVs over a longer period of time. It would save time & $$$
LSS, Traded in Epson home cinema 4000 at best buy for this TV. PS4 Pro was an excellent match. Destiny 2 looks an feels amazing. Debating on reselling to upgrade to HDMI 2.1/eARC but the value of this TV has held up strong. Really lucked out getting a gaming TV with no research. Excellent review. Will refer!

I remember struggling to find a good tv back in 2018. There were a lot of options and the ones I got weren't good picture/gaming wise. I saw a lot of people talking about this specific model and it was at a decent price (It was on sale for 899 at best buy) so I got it. I got the PS4 pro months later (since it was bundled with Red Dead Redemption 2) and both Red Dead and Assassin's Creed Odyssey looked phenomenal. I'd also watch movies and it was again very impressive with detail and colors. I have a better tv now, but it was a very great tv for gaming/watching movies at the time, and it still holds up 6 years later.

This TV in the 75'' is £1775 in UK right now. Do these types of TV's usually drop in price or should I just buy it now? I've seen plenty of TV's drop in price but not sure if this one will.
RPG Features it’s really good overall. Has a really clean image, no dirty screen effect.. It actually has the best panel uniformity of all LED tv’s, which I love. Is great for gaming, good for movies. Above average. But not top tier for movies, somewhere in between budget and top tier. Fald tv’s and OLED will provide a better movie experience, but it’s rated like this by Rtings for HDR movies: NU8000:7.7, Fald tv like TCL R617:8.1 X900F:8.4 Q80R:8.5 B9 Oled:9.0 but a budget TV like TCL S405 would get like a 6.7 so like I said it’s not to bad for movies but not the best. For HDR gaming NU8000:8.4 TCL R617:8.4 Q80R: 8.9 But it’s mid-top-tier for gaming
So the 49" version NU8000 doesn't have 120hz refresh rate? So it's better to go for 50" Ver of NU7470. Right? The major difference is HDR 10+, HDR Elite and 40W speakers. 7470 also has the HDR 10+, HLG. So which one do you think it's better to buy? If the 49NU8000 has 60hz refresh rate, it's waste of money. Bixby don't work on European also (only English, German and Italian wtf?) not support dts audio. For gaming is good that's why I will buy it soon, but for moves is poor.

If you add more here you can get Sony 55 xe9005 or specialy 55b7 oled both 1300€ what is best for moves with subtitle, but the price is too big. I change some options on swmsubg and for now Samsung is good for me for watching moves super for games but for tv is weak becouse I have weak sd signal 576i and only few 1080p canals so it looks ugly, my plazma is better for that. They are always giving you alternatives and how they compare to the model in review. You should make your own decision based on your budget and priorities.
I work in consumer electronics. Buying a Smart TV requires A LOT of homework and research. If you do that well, you will get the right model that suits your needs and budget.

Hi I am planning to buy a TV and I am stuck between Samsung NU7470 and sonyX7500F both are of 43" . Sony provides the android OS and I found that it is kinda slow and it sometimes get hang, on the other side tizen is very smooth. But if I compare the picture quality then I saw that" highlights in video" played on Samsung is way too much and also the space is 1GB. What is your opinion on this considering the long run, should I go with Sony just hoping that android will also work smoothly after some few updates or should I go with Samsung with just 1GB of space. Please help me out

I have been looking at this tv and The Q6FN. However i need a 49inch to fit my gaming cabinet. I will be playing on Xbox one x most online. Does anyone know how this tv does with the so-called “dirty screen effect”? I watch a lot of sports, including hockey, and I am a little concerned about that. Also, how bad really is the blooming when you watch movies in a semi-dark room? When we do family movie night, we usually have a couple of dim lamps around the room, so it’s not “movie-theater” level darkness. I don’t mind a little bit of this if it’s not too distracting.
HOW HECK CAN I GET FREESYNC AND 1440P at the same time on PC? It doesn’t work properly on this TV. I can do the 120hz 1080p with FreeSync and 4K 60hz FreeSync but it doesn’t work very well for 1440p 120hz FreeSync :/

Game mode plus on this thing is the real deal. Every other tv adds >50ms input lag, while this adds a mere ~10ms to interpolate to 120fps.

I remember struggling to find a good tv back in 2018. There were a lot of options and the ones I got weren't good picture/gaming wise. I saw a lot of people talking about this specific model and it was at a decent price (It was on sale for 899 at best buy) so I got it. I got the PS4 pro months later (since it was bundled with Red Dead Redemption 2) and both Red Dead and Assassin's Creed Odyssey looked phenomenal. I'd also watch movies and it was again very impressive with detail and colors. I have a better tv now, but it was a very great tv for gaming/watching movies at the time, and it still holds up 6 years later.

Hi i will know if in hdr content is better set movie or standard picture mode for higher peak brightness..and also..dynamic contrast ..if i will turn on i l will lose accurancy?? I have mu8000 pretty much similiar of this nu8000 i think...
This TV in the 75'' is £1775 in UK right now. Do these types of TV's usually drop in price or should I just buy it now? I've seen plenty of TV's drop in price but not sure if this one will.

RPG Features it’s really good overall. Has a really clean image, no dirty screen effect.. It actually has the best panel uniformity of all LED tv’s, which I love. Is great for gaming, good for movies. Above average. But not top tier for movies, somewhere in between budget and top tier. Fald tv’s and OLED will provide a better movie experience, but it’s rated like this by Rtings for HDR movies: NU8000:7.7, Fald tv like TCL R617:8.1 X900F:8.4 Q80R:8.5 B9 Oled:9.0 but a budget TV like TCL S405 would get like a 6.7 so like I said it’s not to bad for movies but not the best.
For HDR gaming NU8000:8.4 TCL R617:8.4 Q80R: 8.9
But it’s mid-top-tier for gaming
So the 49" version NU8000 doesn't have 120hz refresh rate? So it's better to go for 50" Ver of NU7470. Right?
The major difference is HDR 10+, HDR Elite and 40W speakers.
7470 also has the HDR 10+, HLG.
So which one do you think it's better to buy? If the 49NU8000 has 60hz refresh rate, it's waste of money. Better go to 7470.

Bixby don't work on European also (only English, German and Italian wtf?) not support dts audio. For gaming is good that's why I will buy it soon, but for moves is poor.

If you add more here you can get Sony 55 xe9005 or specialy 55b7 oled both 1300€ what is best for moves with subtitle, but the price is too big. I change some options on swmsubg and for now Samsung is good for me for watching moves super for games but for tv is weak becouse I have weak sd signal 576i and only few 1080p canals so it looks ugly, my plazma is better for that. I have no cable TV only that from air antena here.

I have a question, I recently boutht this Tv but When I running games with the option on Led Clear option activate...the screen flickering a bit but appear a shadows blue and red behind of the images (are very distracting in the dark scenes)...do you think that is this normal.?..maybe fr the interpolation?.. I Dont KNOW if is normal for the processing or maybe the tv have a problem....if you have any idea... Thanks. (its only happens on this option activate outside of this option all look great!!

They are always giving you alternatives and how they compare to the model in review. You should make your own decision based on your budget and priorities.
I work in consumer electronics. Buying a Smart TV requires A LOT of homework and research. If you do that well, you will get the right model that suits your needs and budget.

I am planning to buy a TV and I am stuck between Samsung NU7470 and sonyX7500F both are of 43" . Sony provides the android OS and I found that it is kinda slow and it sometimes get hang, on the other side tizen is very smooth. But if I compare the picture quality then I saw that" highlights in video" played on Samsung is way too much and also the space is 1GB. What is your opinion on this considering the long run, should I go with Sony just hoping that android will also work smoothly after some few updates or should I go with Samsung with just 1GB of space.

Great Tv bought the 55in with the new firmware 1260.8 seems to just run overall better and the local dimming seems to be better then when I first bought it.

Both are literally the same picture quality.. the Q6 being a tiny bit better. To be honest I dont know why Samsung bothered with the Q6FN

I’ve got this tv it’s stunning 😍 Xbox one x games never looked so good, I did have the 49” version but took back and got the 55” def the right choice, had to swap living room around to fit it in though! 😂
60hz vs 120hz panels
I have been looking at this tv and The Q6FN. However i need a 49inch to fit my gaming cabinet. I will be playing on Xbox one x most online. I would really appreciate if anyone anyone could tell me if the 49 inch will suffer massive lost due to the 60hz panel? Or if there are any better options for my needs?

Does anyone know how this tv does with the so-called “dirty screen effect”? I watch a lot of sports, including hockey, and I am a little concerned about that.
Also, how bad really is the blooming when you watch movies in a semi-dark room? When we do family movie night, we usually have a couple of dim lamps around the room, so it’s not “movie-theater” level darkness. I don’t mind a little bit of this if it’s not too distracting.
HOW HECK CAN I GET FREESYNC AND 1440P at the same time on PC? It doesn’t work properly on this TV. I can do the 120hz 1080p with FreeSync and 4K 60hz FreeSync but it doesn’t work very well for 1440p 120hz FreeSync :/

For gaming the nu8000 is better and has better game modes, check out the RUclips reviewer jolester's reviews about it.
For gaming there's no comparison. Get the NU8000. Lower input lag than the Sony, even with Game Motion Plus turned on, snd Freesync support.
