No.I If feel like they just should improve old design from here and there thats it. The 10th gen is almost perfect compact sedan. With new gen they made some aspects worse, but again some small improvements - for me however new model as a whole does not justify at this moment. But offcourse better to see it with own eyes!

Disagree. I like the new look better, looks sleeker and more upscale and polished than the outgoing model. It looks like an Acura, but for the price of a Honda. I'm digging this look, both in and out. Except for all the glossy black stuff. I'd make them all matte black.

@@ryans3795 Yeah same. Overall the 11th gen exterior is a nice refreshing change from the somewhat wild and overstyled 10th gen. But the interior is just pretentious af. 10th interior was very driver oriented which I appreciated. Now they're trying to look like a German interior and it's so cringe.

@@TheChimples I disagree. The exterior of the 2022 reminds me of a BMW or an Audi more than anything. The interior is where this gen shines. The honeycomb vents is honestly all I'd take & put back into the 10th gen civic. The no coupe option for me means that I'd most likely never own an 11th gen, but I'd drive one just for kicks though. Hopefully the Si/Type R surprise me with a coupe option otherwise I'm maxed out with the 10th gen of any civic.

While I prefer the look of the 10th gen, I like that the 11th gen exterior looks like the car is solid! One thing I complained about when I got my 17 hatch was that it took forever to detail because of the body moldings, side skirt, and small nooks. The 11th gen seems like it’ll be faster to clean. I feel the display behind the wheel looks dated compared to the 10th gen. I love the aggressive angles that made this car look unique as well as the huge C taillights. I feel weird because I really like the new civic. I have always been on the fence about the civic because to me, it has always had this teen vibe to it. I like how much more sophisticated it looks now. It's on that edge of possibly being mistaken for a luxury car that I think Mazda also does really well. Very curious to see what the hatchback is going to look like. Either way, I think this is going to be my new car.

I'm with you 100%. I would never consider the old model because in my mind it was way overstyled. In fact if I were given the old one it would have to be black to hide all the plastic trim like fake vents( well maybe that's a bit exaggerated.) Maybe this is due to me being older. I suspect that the older design might be more appealing to younger people whereas the new appeals to older people like me. One thing for sure, car companys don' t make design changes without doing their homework and potential buyers' demographics is part of that.

I always thought the 21 was way over styled. I was thrilled when I saw the show model. It’s back to the way it supposed to look in my eyes.

Yup. If they just gave the old one the new interior and got rid of the fake air scoops in the bumper, that would be fine.

I still love the 10th Civic, the style looks far ahead of its time....the new one is good and perfect but in that case, I gonna look for something else like Mazda or VW...

The two cars that have hit absolute home runs Globally....are the 2022 Nissan Z and this, the legendary nameplate of the legendary brand Honda..2021 Civic.
Such a clean design. Was not so wowed at first but as I'm seeing more of it, the more I realise how good it is. There's a reason these are professionals. They can see beyond what we see.
To all those who says it's kind of bland and old-school..go observe...go see it in person if possible. Tell you.. this car will age magnificently.
The host of this vid is doing a good job too.

The new Civic’s front looks like a Scion TC tho.
I love how the 10th gen can fit my big hydro flask in the cupholder.

Those honey cone vents are going be a SERIOUS dust magnet. The back on the new civic look more like the Sonata ( horrible manufa.. car company).

I liked the presenter you guys had in your video. He wasn't screaming facts, he was just having a casual compare and contrast between the two civics and really pointed out what to like in each. The interior on that new Civic is definitely the winner, but the exterior of the old one just looks better to my eyes.

It's a pattern. 8th gen was good, 9th gen fugly, 10th gen good, 11th gen fugly, and so on.

Well, the new Civic looks like a cross between and Accord and an Altima. I really hope they step up with the Hatchback, these things keep getting more and more vanilla every year. Great video!

Honda does a good job making a design that stands the test of time, even if initially it doesn’t seem so. Give it a bit and see.

This design is trying to cater people that just want to blend in. The kind of people that is uncomfortable attracting attention. An unoriginal design designed for the masses.

U guys forgot the Bose 12 speaker audio system in the touring model in 11th Gen. Very uncommon for Honda to use other than their own brand but I feel this
Is a HUGE upgrade and difference!

Really liked the new version. 10th gen was too aggressive for my taste. Honda did a great job toning down the shape to give it a classy and simpler look.
