2nd lieutenant rank is abolished. Now, officers are directly Commissioned into Lieutenant rank. Havildar Major was used for the seniormost NCO. Now they don't use it except artillery and air defence. Jemadar is also now abolished. Sepoy rank is different in different regiments like, Paratrooper in Parachute Regiment, Signalman in Signals, Sowar in Armoured corps.

To be an engineer there is an entry called SSC Tech Woman entry, where there is no exam, shortlisting is based on the marks or percentage in engineering graduation. For SSC Tech entry, the age limit is 26 when appearing for interview. After shortlisting for SSC Tech or clearing UPSC CDS you will be called for a 5 day SSB interview. Physical ayit prethyekich onnum illa, pakshe ee 5 day interview il or 10 obstacle course ind, so you need to be fit inorder to clear the obstacle course. Allathe, 5.30 minutes il 1.6km ottam or 10 pushup athonnum ssb interview il illa.

There is one officer called Chief of Defence staff (CDS) four star officer, probabaly these officers are retired military personnel from active military service , from 2019 india created this post ,the first CDS is General Bipin rawat unfortunately he died on helicpoter crash , he also appointed as CDS after retirment as Chief of Army staff , then present CDS Anil chauhan a three star officer during the service last position he held in active military service is commanding officer in Easter command this position belongs to a three star office Lt general on 2021 he retired from service then 2022 govt recalled him back to service as CDS a four star office .CDS is head of three Armed forces staff ,moreover he is the ex officio secretary of Department of millitary affairs in Minstry of defence . We can see meron patch in shoulder in that National emblem and insignia of tri service(Eagle,Anchor,National blem) under that oak wreath that is CDS insignia
