if you can't clear this exam within first 3 attempts, Immediately quit look for some other opportunity. After three attempts your probability of clearing this exam statistically decreases. You will get into the trap of upsc preparation like how abhimanyu got into chakravyuh. Time will pass so fast you will get old. Same people who motivated you at 23 will start laugh at you when you turn 27 or 28. So always have a pre decided exit door if things don't work in your favour.
In Kerala we have Cannanore cantonment. An IDES officer will be the Chief Executive Officer in charge of that cantonment area, who will be dealing with similar charges as a district collector in a district. He will handle cases dealing with cantonments make executive orders. Above that IDES officer a President of the cantonment who is appointed by the Indian army and is of the rank of a Colonel. In the near future mostly by 2025 the cantonment boards will stop functioning due to orders from Ministry of Defence on abolition of Cantonment boards.

@dictator989 exactly, there is nothing wrong with writing government exams. But that should be done and the person should have a government job within the age of 27 or 28. A job is the basic thing of building money. But people are overaddicted and still writing government exams even after the age of 32. That's like everybodys becoming entrepreneur after the age of 60 which is impossible. I know some People who are mainly trying for government jobs to show relatives.

ഞാൻ കോട്ടയിലും ഡൽഹിയിലും posted ആയിരുന്ന സമയത്ത് UPSC preparation ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരുപാട് കുട്ടികളെ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.. ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ കുട്ടികൾ UP Bihar state ൽ നിന്നാണ്.. 80% വരും.. നോർത്തിൽ 8ാം ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ മുതൽ കുട്ടികൾ UPSC ക്ക് തയ്യാറെടുക്കുന്നു.. കേരളത്തിൽ UPSC ക്ക് ആരും ഒരു പരിഗണയും കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല 🤔.. എല്ലാവരും മാക്സിമം PSC എഴുതി സയൂജ്യം അടയുന്നു.. കാരണം നമ്മുടെ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് നോർത്തിലെ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു ഉയർന്ന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ഉണ്ട്.. Bt lack of confidence ഉം lack of awareness ഉം risk elements കുറഞ്ഞ job seeking ഉം കഷ്ട്ടപെടാനുള്ള മനസ്സ് ഇല്ലാത്തതും കൊണ്ടായിരിക്കും ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കുന്നത് 🤔
Guys dont get overhyped and addicted to government jobs .You will become the rat in a treamill. So please be careful 🙏

@dictator989 exactly, there is nothing wrong with writing government exams. But that should be done and the person should have a government job within the age of 27 or 28. A job is the basic thing of building money. But people are overaddicted and still writing government exams even after the age of 32. That's like everybodys becoming entrepreneur after the age of 60 which is impossible. I know some People who are mainly trying for government jobs to show relatives.
