IFS officers are as important as IAS or IPS officers, maybe even more. But they dont get any respect and recognition from the normal people of India. IFS was the most elite service by the government of India since 50 years.

After listening to her interview, I am feeling that I m a replica of the mam. Each Nd every question that has been asked to her, I would also have replied the same answers.
Challenges to one are opportunities for others..woah .How beautifully she explained perspective difference and personal priorities of individuals.Diplomat quality.Its a job of 30 years and so..not a short time period.If one dont select according to preference and look for local recognition later on will regret for not doing one like.Life isn’t a trial and error footpath.Travelling learning different cultures mingling with them introducing our identity is adventures for some even packing organising starting a small world in different place coping up with that environment all sounds fun anyway
And what's wrong with that u don't question ppl who leave india who's in any other sector thay also go out cuz they think life would be better out there they would get more opportunities

I would like to answer this as I too have read a lot about ifs and want yo join the service 1. No not all the time they have to live abroad but for like 2/3 of their service they have to stay and they get posted in Delhi after 2 or 3 postings abroad. And like in Delhi they can stay posted for as much time they want and even now the ifs officers are posted in the regional offices of different states. 2. They can come india like to meet their family whenever they want. They get the holidays and even two paid flights to visit India. 3. I'm not so sure about it but i think so through RUclips or through social media they can but I'm not sure.
Has least scope of taking bribe....IFS agar riswat leta ha toh uska value minimum 100 crore Hota ha....like international criminal ko passport banake bhagne pe madat karega....
Well ma'am, IFS doesn't only and always means better countries like Aus, USA, UK etc, it also means Iraq, Iran, some underdeveloped countries,so wishing you good luck and hope you are prepared.
I think the one who preparing for UPSC have a better understanding of the services and when someone fill their DAF with preference of IFS, then he will be aware of it.
This is the actual beauty, thrill and adventure of IFS. If she wanted only developed country then she could have joined some kind of job abroad as she comes from a privileged family and has a good academic background as well. It's very important for an IFS to serve in different kinds of situation to have holistic view of the the world.
Second thing is that officers are posted in that countries for only 18 months. In that postings, they are additionally protected by our CAPF soldiers. Posted officer gets 2-3 times more salary than usual. He/ she also gets sufficient time for personal development like reading, writing and for other hobbies as well.
Ye sab feku officers hain….inka family background bohot strong hota hain isliye ye IFS leke Paris chale jate hain😂😂 Aur normal candidates ko South America ke janglo me utara jata hain…one of my friend who does not have any strong background …serving in South America 👏👏

She must have chosen French as her option for CFL that's why she got ifs and she's not staying there permanently She will be posted to another station ig in a while now as it changes after every 2 to 3 year And it doesn't have to do anything with the privilege your friend must have gotten a lesser rank therefore she must not have gotten the CFL of her choice. There's no privilege here

It's 32 for general category and above 32 for ST and SC
37 years is the upper age limit (with unlimited attempts)for SC/ST women appearing for CSE. All the best 👍🏻
