That seminar was amazing man! Had a blast. I highly suggest to everyone you get him to your gyms for a seminar or come to his seminars at Neversate! Thanks for everything Brian.
yeah, Brian, so I tried your whole 'superset everything' approach and was doing high intensity heavy deadlifts with kettlebell swings in between and muscle ups. long story short, I threw up.... and was light headed the whole day. Awesome! 😁 😁 😁
Alexei Cáceres dude i've been doing Brian's superset everything method for like a year now and I STILL nearly puke at least once a week. It's killer (in a good way).
Wish you a quick recovery, Brian! I love your positivity and the way you approach your injury, still getting the work done and trying all sorts of things without a single word of complaint. This is very inspirational. You suffer beautifully! ;-)
Big shout out to Allan Thrall for his videos introducing me to your channel. Since then you have become one of my favorite youtubers! Great content and awesome advice. I do more of a bodybuilder program but have taken many this from your training. I do dragon flags 3x a week. I superset everything I can. Awesome stuff! Keep it going!
I have had 3 serious shoulder injuries, the last one been rehabbing since April. There are some great PT people on RUclips that have helped me but Dr Jo is the queen. Good luck
Did someone say ice bath? Is that a Jujimufu foreboding? Also, you really have been motivating me lately to step up my training. Especially for nationals looming. Thanks.
Brian you are legend. My favourite strongman hands down. Strong mother fooker and amazing person. That's only one channel I always visit when I have minimum time. Blessings
Keep progressing Brian. Some people think physical therapy is a fraud, but as someone from that world I can say it can help you particularly so much. Take care of yourself.
You know your a true lifter when you can listen about the SS Bar for hours. The SSB deserves its own bar rack in the gym that no other bar is allowed to sit on
Hey Brian, last year I tore my pattelar ligament and was able to rehab it without surgery. My brother worked at a dog rehab facility and they had a laser that stimulates cellular growth and blood flow. I think the laser is what saved me, so if you know of anywhere that would have a dog laser, try to bribe them to use it on you, good luck man.
This works, I had an mcl tear and used something similar at a chiros office. That plus strengthing the area helped me avoid surgery. I think surgery should be avoided at all costs, unless you can't move or pain threshold is too high. Most the time it just weakens the area even more and is subject to tear again.
good luck with that shoulder, good to hear that it actually shows signs of improvement! I always get excited when I see parts of that new building, I'm sure it's gonna be wonderful!
Love watching you train Brian. I've walked away from the weights as I'm joining the royal marines next year so I'm all about running at the moment. Still send everyone I meet to your chanel though
Figure 8 straps are going to be allowed at nationals. Tried some last Saturday for the 1st time and immediately went home and ordered some. You won't have issues with grip/straps slipping with those bad boys.
Great job on the training despite hurting the shoulder. Man, why did you have to remind me that winter is coming?! Not looking forward to going back into the bo heat, no insulation workouts. Hope you heal up quick!
Hi Brian, good to see you still getting the work done despite the injury, I'm on week 3 of the power builder program and it's already hard work, good hard work though. My suffer beautifully T shirt has arrived in London, so hopefully it will be with me soon.
Yeah Josh, up until I watch Brian's videos on conditioning I thought 5 minutes on the cross trainer was good enough. My favourite conditioning now is 10 minutes of 3 deadlifts at 90% followed by the remainder of the minute doing a plank. It's horrific but definitely works
Andrew McMahon mine is grabbing 3 plates (just about my bodybweight), crushing them to my chest, and hauling butt down the basketball court. Then i turn around and come back. I suck wind for 20 seconds and then try to beat my time for five more runs. Because Brian says carrying heavy things for speed or distance is a good one. Of course he's right. 😀
Hey Brian! Maybe you could make a video about how you dealt with your shoulders? What worked best and so on. I have had some trouble myself in the past, and it would be good to know what works.
That feeling you get when you Brian can dead lift more with one hand than you with two. lol Awesome work as always ! hope the shoulder is getting better.
Great stuff as usual! Have you tried doing any external rotations or other rotator cuff exercises? They helped when I tweaked my shoulder a few months ago. Happy healing.
hey Brian:) I have a question about the PowerBuilding program video: so you train each of the main four movements once a week and for 3 sets(+assistance)? 3 sets per week and one heavy session every 3 weeks isn't too little? isn't frequency and volume on that main lift important? Thank you for everything man you REALLY inspire me every day
Hi Brian, thanks for pumping out great content on your videos! I saw you added weighted back extensions and good mornings to your deadlift workouts. Do you do them both in the same deadlift session or did you cycle them on a weekly basis? Thanks in advance for sharing the knowledge.
What is your opinion on training the big movers less in one day and more over the week. example: Monday squat 5x5 Thursday squat 5x5. this is a very very basic example.
@brian alsruhe i recently moved away from home, and have a hard time hitting my macros, since i am on a budget... Do you have Any suggestions for cheap "super foods" to help me? Thank you so much for posting vids, They are very inspirational and educational :-)
Hey Brian I'm pretty new to the channel so I don't know you that well, but seeing how crazy your lifts are I just have to ask... are you natural? I'm just trying to adjust my expectations when I see you squatting and deadlifting 600+
I thought the point of using an axle for deadlifts was because it's harder on the grip, so if you're using straps doesn't that defeat the purpose? I've never used an axle, so maybe there's more to it than grip?
Whats a good lifting belt you recommend? Anyone can answer. I Had a lower back issue last week i think i should use one when lifting over 90% of my max.
Sam Karr my belt is crap. Velcro and a buckle. 40 bucks. But holy moly does it make a difference on heavy squats and deads. I don't go over 85% without it. Some day, i may warrant a serious belt, but this is not that day.
I have a Question about the SSB Good Morning. When I am doing the SSB Good Mornings the weight is on my neck as well as in my arms as if I'm holding the bar. Is this the way its supposed to be because In the video it looks like you also take the weight onto your neck but are you also holding the bar up? Should I move the bar lower on my back ? Hope this makes sense. Maybe it can be in a Q&A video.
ShawnRepps your arms are basically just holding the handles it's really not taking any of the weight. Your neck however is going to get built up if you keep doing theses because it really works your neck and traps as well.
I gotta warn you from musle ups on that kind of bar. I saw a fucking Olympic gold medalist shatter his arm doing musle ups on that exact same kind of bar.
yeah its pretty depressing and frustrating to stop. im doing powerbuilding program with focusing on heavy lifts and then moderate weight for hypertrophy. i will stick to light-moderate weight for bodybuilding i guess
I think jump hanging may be something u should stop... Lol just my opinion. I never felt benefits from that hanging for shoulder pain bullshit btw. Maybe it does work but for certain cases. Wrap ur shoulder in a blanket as u sleep, to keep it warm. I used to do that when I broke my collar bone and it definitely helped reduce inflammation as I woke up. Ya kno when it gets sore the next day. Also sleeping with ur hands in the coffin style, across the stomach, elbows at ur side, works for me personally.
and then," Nick the frog" was born! amazing video Brian, as usual! it's annoying...it's also good video...can you not be like every youtube fitness "model" and do rubbish video? :D(jk)
That seminar was amazing man! Had a blast. I highly suggest to everyone you get him to your gyms for a seminar or come to his seminars at Neversate! Thanks for everything Brian.
Szat Strength I only have a homegym kind of thing like a simple weight room and I'm the only one there, does that count?
Alex Buch if there's pizza then yes
Szat Strength I like the way you think
Wore my Suffer Beautifully shirt, had a great workout. Coincidence? No, science.
I had a similar effect on my overhead day today!
Don't have enough money for PES (performance enhancing shirts) atm :/
#GeryTankTopTeam
'Windshield' exercise is also very useful when ventilation in the gym is not working. :-)
yeah, Brian, so I tried your whole 'superset everything' approach and was doing high intensity heavy deadlifts with kettlebell swings in between and muscle ups. long story short, I threw up.... and was light headed the whole day. Awesome! 😁 😁 😁
Alexei Cáceres dude i've been doing Brian's superset everything method for like a year now and I STILL nearly puke at least once a week. It's killer (in a good way).
I always love watching your training videos. Nice work on the farmers deadlift!!!

another good video Brian... Take care of the shoulder...heal well ...heal soon...
After a Summer whithout training it's hard to get back on track, but your videos helped me a lot! Thanks man and keep on the good things
Hope the shoulder is ok Brian! Heal up! Come back stronger!
Getting a suffer beautifully shirt for my birthday!
Love watching you train Brian. I've walked away from the weights as I'm joining the royal marines next year so I'm all about running at the moment. Still send everyone I meet to your chanel though

6:50 For a moment there, I thought this was a very cool aerial shot.
Take care of that shoulder, Brian! Just got myself a few tshirts, hope your shoulder gets better soon
Figure 8 straps are going to be allowed at nationals. Tried some last Saturday for the 1st time and immediately went home and ordered some. You won't have issues with grip/straps slipping with those bad boys.
love your energy in this video.

Andrew McMahon same here. I have found the heavy bits not to be too bad (i'm still in wave 1), but those light sets kick my butt!
Josh Johnston it's the conditioning that kills me.
Andrew McMahon you must be doing it right.
Yeah Josh, up until I watch Brian's videos on conditioning I thought 5 minutes on the cross trainer was good enough.

I've just wrecked my bicep doing log cleans so I feel your pain man!
Food mornings?
2:16
Dunno about you but prefer them to good mornings..
SSB "Food" Mornings... Haha sorry man, had to point that out. But awesome video regardless!! Best channel on the RUclipss by far!
Shoulder injury sucks... Have a good recovery bro !
Definitely should buy a shoulderok man! It’s an awesome tool!
The contrast is high in this video :))
Great motivational! Love the inspiration! Thank you
I can't believe how strong and agile you are, Brian.
Hope that shoulder gets better soon, man!
Hope your shoulder gets better soon!
Great stuff as usual! Have you tried doing any external rotations or other rotator cuff exercises? They helped when I tweaked my shoulder a few months ago. Happy healing.
Hopefully, that shoulder heals quickly. Shoulder pain sucks.
You're the Mike Rowe of strength.
your workouts are intense and put mine to shame lol damn I want to step it up now!
Brian I feel the same after every video I see of his but then when I try I realize I’m only mortal
You just scare me in a good way :-)
Hey Brian can you make a video someday about strength workouts for martial arts and BJJ????
That thumbnail is the best Insta pic ever
Hey man take care of that shoulder!
hey Brian:) I have a question about the PowerBuilding program video:

Am I the only one who takes notes on Brian's videos?
Jackemarlee Young when the whiteboard comes out, so does my notebook, because I know it means I'm gonna get hit with the knowledge bomb.
Thought you had a frame? I've seen the 6x6 bolted together.
Bro I love the ssb so much and no one understands lol
What is your opinion on training the big movers less in one day and more over the week. example: Monday squat 5x5 Thursday squat 5x5. this is a very very basic example.

2:16 SSB FOOD MORNINGS
that's honestly my favorite exercise... wait, you don't mean eating bacon and pancakes? damn. Never gonna make it.
can someone point me to the video where he talks about using too much lower back in hip hinge movements?
Whats a good lifting belt you recommend? Anyone can answer. I Had a lower back issue last week i think i should use one when lifting over 90% of my max.
Sam Karr my belt is crap. Velcro and a buckle. 40 bucks. But holy moly does it make a difference on heavy squats and deads. I don't go over 85% without it. Some day, i may warrant a serious belt, but this is not that day.
You should collab and train with Brian Shaw
Shoulder injury can't be that bad if you do pullups, dips and overhead press afterwards
Rubish deadlift is a weighted hyper extension no?
Just want to say, my board jump sucks!!
I hope that your shoulder heals. I would love to see you compete one of these days. I wonder if you could post a schedule of your competition?
I have a Question about the SSB Good Morning. When I am doing the SSB Good Mornings the weight is on my neck as well as in my arms as if I'm holding the bar. Ok makes sense because holding it up felt odd.
I gotta warn you from musle ups on that kind of bar. I saw a fucking Olympic gold medalist shatter his arm doing musle ups on that exact same kind of bar.
Wouldn't want you to get injured
Nadav Blumenthal where did you see that?

Brian i am getting headaches in the back of my head (close to the neck) while doing my heavy lifts. what should i do?
Aris Sp You should stop for some times
yeah its pretty depressing and frustrating to stop. im doing powerbuilding program with focusing on heavy lifts and then moderate weight for hypertrophy. i will stick to light-moderate weight for bodybuilding i guess

Heal up soon. Injuries suck
@brianalsruhe @4:56 how did you end up with an Armenian flag? Represent. 👍👌✌️🤘
Don’t be an idiot 😂 I won’t be able to lift for a couple years due to torn shoulders. Don’t be me.
Why is your skin always so red?
I think jump hanging may be something u should stop... Lol just my opinion. I never felt benefits from that hanging for shoulder pain bullshit btw. Maybe it does work but for certain cases. it's annoying...it's also good video...can you not be like every youtube fitness "model" and do rubbish video? :D(jk)
I have a SSBar (based on what you said about it a while ago) and it is awesome and awful at the same time !
