Again, ground I really didn't need to lose. Just finished my first run of dark horse. Well, my weight is up. I haven't been 151 in almost 2 years. AND MY LIFTS ARE BACK, BABY. I ain't shit and my numbers ain't shit, but they're mine. To lose ground when I'm so behind anyway was NOT GOOD for my self image. Big thanks, man. Don't let your setbacks get you down, cuz you're a bad mofo and all your athletes know it.

I have boxer briefs that have essentially turned into a jock strap. I only wear them for deadlifts. Those muscle ups were beautiful...just because they happened. I am also gonna make 4 days in a week for the first time in a long time.

Great video as always. I'm still not fit enough to do half of what you do and your dog could kick my dogs butt so I'm jealous. My cycling bib shorts have rubber on the inside and pulls my hair out too! Before anyone accuses me of being weak I'm in the gym almost every day all year, and in the summer i ALSO cycle a lot.

Brian Alsruhe no doubt about the athleticism! Mark bell was a separate thought i just think it’d be funny. In wrestling we had weight classes. if strongman had weightclasses i honestly believe you would be tough for anyone in the world to beat! i look at hafthor and brian shaw and i feel like they need like a giant class.
@@jefferylord3068 strongman does have weightclasses, thor and shaw just happen to be in the heaviest open class which is what worlds strongest man showcases. The lighter classes tend not to be showcased as much cause the weights just aren't as ridiculous

Hey Brian, I'm really enjoying your videos... I'm trying to get involved into strongman and have some implements already. However, since you are talking about the axle and I know it is very cheap to get ahold of. But to buy or find weights seems very expensive. I have fat grips I use but they aren't the same. What would you recommend for training with axle as I'm on a very cheap budget. Bringing an axle bar with me to the gym just seems a little crazy lol.

Man, right now I don't care too much about records as I do just putting the time in. I know if I do it for 6 months, I will be in a good place. If I chase records, I get discouraged. I'm better off as a workhorse man. That is what I have always done.
Hey Brian how do you deal with stinky knee/elbow sleeves? Do you wash them often or just put them in a dark, sheltered corner away from the world when not using them?
I wash mine once a week because I toss them in with darks or underwear. One of those will get washed each week. I do take a paper towel and wipe the inside before I put them away after a session to get any excess sweat off. My knee sleeves get worn twice a week. I wear them on my squat day and my deadlift days because front squats are a part of that.
Bro, you can't just toss them in a corner. It only makes it worse. Stick em on something that keeps them open, preferably with some good airflow to dry them fast. The longer they stay wet, the worse it is! Like if I immediately hang my gym shirt on a hangar in the laundry room, I can wear it for days. If I toss it over the back of my chair, boom. One way ticket to stink city.
Nah man. This Christmas, I told my lady to get me high end socks and drawers, and she delivered in spades. All new, high quality socks and drawers. And I STILL have those crappy socks!

You might get it but you wont get as much as if you rested. Definitely split those up man.

Pullups are hard for big guys I can only do a few just keep working on them and dont be ashamed to do some band assisted ones til you get better
