Mr. Alsruhe, I know you don't get to comments that often, but man you make me a better man. Your advice, commentary, commentary, and pure positivity just make me push as hard as I can every day. Please stay awesome.
I have poor lungs and asthma. It's been extremely cold here in Michigan the last couple of days. My lungs can't tolerate the cold air and going to the gym yesterday even wearing a face mask almost put me into an attack and i couldn't breathe very well the rest of the day. I was going to skip the gym today because i couldn't risk the cold air walking the distance in the cold to get inside. You inspired me to make it work and not let my health problems stop me. I got someone to drop me off at the door so I wouldn't get floored breathing in the air. So because of you, i found a way to not get stopped due to my health problems. Thank you.
@@panda-kun7229 i was fine and glad i was able to go. I do tend to push myself too much sometimes knowing the possible consequences. USUALLY my stubbornness doesn't bite me in the rear.
Yesterday as I approached my fourth and fifth sets of deadlifts and contemplated taking some weight off, I thought about Brian shouting "MAKE A DECISION!" and I got them done. Today when I was not feeling excited about going to the gym because my back was sore, I thought about Brian busting his ass every day even thought he's got those awful stomach problems, so I got in gear and got it done. There's nothing else I can say.
I have literally spent the last week trying to soak up as much info as possible by watching as many of your videos as I can. Love all the videos so far, can’t get enough. Much love from Scotland 🏴
Rhodesian ridgeback is an awesome dog. I had one, best dog I ever had. Very loyal, very smart, I can bench more than I squat because I suck at it squats for no reason, great guard dogs and they were LION HUNTERS! Great video
Your videos are always extremely inspiring but I have to say, the part I love the most is the message of "Be nice to each other". You're the Man Brian!
Love your stuff man! Day one of training back from hernia surgery! You're not just an inspiration you're what I am chasing. Cannot wait for the lionsate classic!
Love all your content!!! Love how you always work through your nausea and not let it keep you from moving forward!!!That "earthquake bar" is wack lol!!!🤣💖
Thank you Brian for all this informational content, your channel is not only a youtube staple for strongman, but strength/weightlifting in general. You deserve more subscribers!!!
I just got an insta to follow you, Nic, Olu, Brad, etc. and I saw you doing some stuff with the wagon wheels, looks fun! Glad your mental edge is coming back stronger than ever, the body follows the mind!
Love the train to be dangerous series, especially since athleticism is not the most popular idea online compared to just looking good. Would you ever consider doing a weekly conditioning challenge? I think that could be a cool way to involve the community and expand some conditioning ideas to the people (me) that enjoy pushing through the suffering. Since I’ve been following you I’ve massively increased my power and endurance. Keep up the great work!
Leaving you behind? If I'm not mistaken, those dudes credit your coaching for helping them so much. Sounds more like you push them ahead, and they pull you along, because that's what teams do. 👍
Jesus. I have a hard time not dying just doing regular dumbell rwos without giant setting them (don't know what it is, but nothing beats me up like this exercise) . You're a beast.
Your stone tables, were they mad by your father as well? I've watched your gym tour videos and don't recall seeing you talk about them. Mind doing a close-up tour and discussion of those in the future? Thanks
Great video - very entertaining, especially your cute dog. New to your channel - are you recovering from injury or illness or something? If so, all the best with your recovery. Have just subscribed - now to watch some more of your content :)
What's your take on caffeine, Brian? Do you take in a lot of coffee or do you use pre-workout regularly? Or do you not use caffeine due to stomach issues or preference, etc.
Have an idea for future vids, since u did Mma. You played Gridiron football to any level ? What'd your workout look like? Or you have any athletes in your gym that do martial arts / contact sports that can do chip in with some info
Do you get a lot of visitors at the gym? Your gym looks like so much fun, and when I found out you're in Maryland, I might have gotten super excited. (I'm in Virginia)
Guys need a bit help, my right pec is a lot bigger than the left but not stronger, do I still need isolate the left one? (My triceps and shoulders are the same)
Do you have any advice for strength training whilst on keto / doing targeted keto? Losing weight and gaining strength and muscle is great, and mentally I feel better than I ever have, but the lack of explosive power after the 3rd rep (im still doing 5x5 atm) just feels bad
Still praying for man! Not trying to be a doctor but have you tried to take zofran it's what the Dr prescribed my wife when she was pregnant and throwing up 15-20 times a day for like 3 weeks and it fixed it.
I would recommend working their mobility before something snaps man. If 500lb 6'10 Men can get into conventional deadlift position and you cannot, then I would stop pulling until you get it figured out. Seriously, I am not being mean, that sounds like a REAL issue. From someone who has had extreme back injuries, I would take care of this man .
@@BrianAlsruheOfficialOkej I will look into that!! thank you so much man, For answering my questions so fast! I watch your video's every day and they helped me alot In my training! Keep up the good work! Great spirit and great channel you have here 👍
Just wondering, does it really make much of a difference whether you use barbells or dumbbells for the pressing exercises if the effort exerted is the same?
Can't speak for anyone else, but I do both. A lot of my strategy is from Brian's templates. So if it a "heavy" bench or ohp day, I'm doing db presses for volume. If it's a lighter/volume day for the main press, I'm going heavy for low reps with the dbs. That way, I get the rom benefits of the dbs and the bigger weights that are possible with a barbell. Here's the thing... if your metric for progress is the barbell bench press, then you can't skip it. If that number on that lift doesn't matter, then work is work and it doesn't matter.
yes man, you will always be able to press more with a barbell because of stabilization. Also, the day will come when the dumbbells will not be heavy enough. 300lbs is not an unattainable bench goal brother.
Hi Brian, I know you hate people trying to diagnose your health issue but another thing you could have is called benign positional vertigo this can cause dizziness and vomiting. Just want to offer help so you can get over this issue!
I wonder if bracing super hard, you created so much pressure some valve tore or reversed and messed up circulation or stomach acid or digestive system? RUclips medical doctor with zero medical training or knowledge
yootoober49 diaphragm is a muscle so it will get stronger. Not sure about using the belt though. Is breathing and bracing the same as valsava movement? If yes it can be dangerous
The biggest muscle in Brian’s body is his heart. I think that is why he throws up so much...no room for his stomach.
Hahah there could be some truth in this
Fellas, sometimes the heaviest weights we lift are our feelings.
Haha Brian is THE Shit

Hey Brian. Love your videos. You have educated and inspired me. Question- How do you manage Giant sets if you have a workout partner?
Your stone tables, were they mad by your father as well? I've watched your gym tour videos and don't recall seeing you talk about them. Mind doing a close-up tour and discussion of those in the future? Thanks

I'd be interested in this also. Maybe some info on the inner structure.

Not gonna get bored working out like that thats alot of different moves

Where did you get the 4x8 mats for your gym floor?
My dogs do the same thing.
Mountain cur & Border collie.
My airsoft buddies and I, could use this valuable Intel to grow stronger. That would allow us to eviscerate our enemies!
Nobody is expecting to be eviscerated during airsoft so you'd even have the element of suprise
evisceration is the key...
