What's a good speaker to use for live vocals? I'm on a budget, so can't be more than $300. Would prefer cheaper than that.

I have them both! Both do different things great! But if I had to choose one, it’s the e835 for me!

To get the sm58 to sound great, increase mid to about 3/4 low to 1/2 and high to 2/3.

AKG D5 is cheaper and sounds better then both of them. Out of those 2 Sennheiser is a clear winner.

DON'T WASTE YER MONEY ON THIS MIC. ECONOMY MICS FROM BIG NAME COMPANIES USUALLY SUCK. MY 25YR OLD EV MIC SOUNDS BETTER.

Hey guys, so for a house music singer, mids, highs and that euphoric sound. I'm a male voice with high tenor qualities and predominantly sing from alto up. My minds going straight to the Senhieser?
    Any thoughts welcomed ❤

Sennheiser would not touch Shure… Sinatra and bone swore by them both in the recording studio and live… I used both and find Shure beta 58 is crisp in comparison

Great video, no fluff and a quick run-down of the tech specs: perfect! The Senn looks the better pick for my usage.

I think the equivalent to 58s from shure, both SM and BETA are the e900 series not the e800. Kinda unfair to the Sennheisers I believe. Don't get me wrong, I work with all of them and a bit more with the shure microphones but that's my opinion even if the e900s are a bit more expensive that's how the sound in my ears. Btw I love all of them! ;)

Good video ! I have both and switch them out for solo acoustic gigs .. here's my 2 cents for what it's worth .. I feel like the 835 is way more sensitive to plosives and and any imperfections you have especially while singing in a quiet room.. for me I have to set the gain level much lower on the 835 because of that sensitivity .. I actually had the 935 also and hated it because I couldn't get it dialed in right .. I'm far from a pro and I'm sure I don't have the best mic technique but i do notice that every mic has a sweet spot where the gain and volume are set perfectly and it makes a huge difference when your singing .. so for the 835 if I'm using that I generally set lower gain , higher volume .. as for the SM58 I find that it's just a bit better for me and my vocals .. it's not as boomy as the 835 and not as sensitive to the pops and plosives .. for me the 58 takes higher gain and lower volume so kinda the opposite of the 835... Both solid mics for the price ..

Same here. Whenever making recordings the s835 always picks up more background noise. Sticking with the Sm58

Got Both and been using for a decade, for Versatility of Voice irrespective of the Persons vocal range or Instrument SM58 is easily Tweak-able but when it comes to Bass Heavy & Pure vocals folks The e835 cuts through the mix … cant go wrong either though
