i always assumed acrylic paint wouldn’t work because i never saw anyone using it, but i’m on a budget and i only need to color resin for one project, i’m so glad i saw this video!!
I use acrylic paints all the time :D Aslong as you dont put alot it its fine! I once put too much in and it starting to cure quickly. I have used that to good effect too when doming the backs with opaque backings though
@Luxury lotus Beauty Spa I have a piece using the paint and it did look quite cloudy. I am not sure if its because i didnt mix it properly or it was old paint. It worked with the marbling i was doing. It hasnt feathered though. Unless your talking about the feather effect i havent even tried it yet Sorry i couldnt of been more help
@Luxury lotus Beauty Spa I can definetly try it out yeah :D I would have to do some research before hand and i dont have alcohol inks. But i will be getting some. Love the petri effect. But will be starting to do some small youtube videos of resin very soon.
@Luxury lotus Beauty Spa I am not the right person to ask lovey. I havent done any petri dishes so i dont know. I did see someone use white and rubbing alchohol but you would need to research on your own for that iam afraid
Thank you!!! I’ve been browsing RUclips for this exact video!!! You’re the only one I’ve seen do it this way- everyone else mixed them and did solid. Thank you so much!!!
Excellent demonstration of different ways to color resin. It saved me a lot of time that I would have spent trying to decide how to use color in my resin projects. Thank you so much for sharing your experiment with resin. :)
This video was ULTRA helpful for this noob right here. I hadn't even considered just using a couple of drops of all my alcohol inks to QUICKLY change your epoxy (base color anyway). Using powder for the sparkle is totally the way to go though. So now I have all colors of epoxy base ready to go at a moments notice. THANKS!
thank u for this comparative info!! always assumed i needed to buy special pigments made just specifically for Resin art making. also ddnt see a lot of people use paint. glad you made this video!!! saved a lot of money especially shipping fee money! hehe
I really appreciate you doing the experiment and posting it. In addition to your resin work all being so cool, the quality of your video production is great, too. And you have such a cute voice. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Can you experiment same type of pigmentd on this video but with different types of projects? I'm slowly expanding to trays cutting boards and bookmarks and the list keeps growing. Lol I am flustered with my results every time. 😢
Can any one please guide me .. Which colours used in this vedio ?? Can we use all kind of colours for resin art ... Alcohol ..arcylic.. oil paint .. poster ..food colour and all about .. please ans .
Alcohol ink isn’t safe to put in epoxy you should only add mica powders and resin tint to them when you add alcohol ink you increase the toxicity of the epoxy the same goes for acrylic paint you should not be adding acrylic paint to epoxy

Good to know and actually see.
Which would you use mixed to get a glass like effect. Looking to make stoppers for bottles.
I am looking for some colorant options for urethane resin casting, do you have any insights on that end?
thankyou sooo much for this!
does poster paint do the job in the same way too? or will it affect the resin? :))
Even in qorenteen you videos are awesome😘😍😀😊😌🐱
I meant qurrinteen
Quarrelin' teen
Thank you!
can i use coating/table top resin for making jewelry/ashtrays? xx
Yes, I believe many art resins are used for table tops too.
What about enamel powder? Its is also used to make jewellery right?
what would you think works best and is cheapest when coloring resin??? please help
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Can you experiment same type of pigmentd on this video but with different types of projects? I'm slowly expanding to trays cutting boards and bookmarks and the list keeps growing. Lol I am flustered with my results every time. 😢
I know what you mean, there are so many variables that can go wrong.
😎very usefull information for PROJECT
Resin colorant is the same as Resin Pigment Dye?
Great video, thanks ❤️❤️
What you using for letters
Please can you clarify that am I use acrylic colour in resin r not
What is resin tint then?
Is this a good brand? I’m currently using art resin but it makes so much bubbles. I’m looking for a new brand. Thank you!
For me the temperature has always been the biggest factor. Warmed resin usually means less bubbles with every brand I've tried.
Can any one please guide me ..
Which colours used in this vedio ??
Can we use all kind of colours for resin art ... Alcohol ..arcylic.. oil paint .. poster ..food colour and all about .. please ans .
Can we use acrylic color to resin art instead of resin pigment?
Yes, in small quantities because acrylic is often water based.
Where did you get those little cups?
You can get them on Let's Resin or Amazon. Search for resin cups.
12 hours to cure? Thats super fast. What kinda resin ?
I think many standard resin cures in 12 hour for demolding, but fully cures in 1-3 days.
Which should one use???
Depends on the look and style you’re going for
Is really alocohol ink take more time to cure than the reular pigments?
The ink is mixed in the resin in small quantities, so it should be the same time to cure. Alcohol ink by itself dries very fast.
Do you have another channel?
I love all of your videos 😍😍😍
Thanks! Yes I’m also at Evies Toy House 😄
do it. cn do it
:)))))
^w^
You didn't mix it well🤦♀️
