    Thanks for the extra information on how to use a CNC. Even your simple step by step gets me more interested in what I could do with such a machine. Thanks again.

      I got the CNC to work, it works very well once you get thorugh the setup. Now I need to to find the courage to setup the laser.

    Good setup vid, thank you! I wrestled with the tutorials on youtube and such, had two scares with the control screen and then figured it out :) I bought the laser module also but haven't had the courage to attempt that. The install video for the laser firmware is as cryptic as the others, not sure I want to give myself another 4-6 hours of thumbwrestling with it ....

    I should do a trial run on the TTC450 CNC machine, the text that should be engraved. However, I have a problem when I let the machine do the process. It does not actually touch the bottom of the tree on which it is supposed to work, although I went to the Z test several times to adjust the height, however, the machine does not work correctly for me, it works non-stop in the air and non-stop returns up instead of down. How can I regulate so that this does not happen to me, so that it starts working normally. I don't know if it's not a problem in the Candle settings. I use machine dimensions 460x460.

      This is an odd report. I'm thinking maybe someone else has run into this issue.

    Hi! Great video! I have a question for you, does the X/Y Home and Z Home Button work for you in Sculpture mode? Because on mine I load up a file into the sd card, go to sculpture mode zero in the spindle by pressing X/Y and Z clear buttons and if I move on any axis and press x/y or z home buttons it doesn't go back to zero. It works in control mode tho. I have contacted Two Trees and they either don't want to acknowledge the problem or for some reason don't understand even tho I have sent them a video showing the issue.

      I feed mine from the laptop. When I get a chance however, I'll have to check on that. I gave them a list of upgrades that I felt were needed and all I got was "thanks, we're looking into it"

    • @xample222
      @xample222 Год назад

      @@SirTools Yes I would like to know because if it works on yours then either mine is defective or its using an old firmware or something.
      The communication with them so far isn't giving me great confidence if something major happens with the machine, but at least they reply fast so far (within a day) and I was lucky to grab it for only $650 and free shipping.

    • @xample222

      Also I found out that when I turn the machine off and turn it back on the position where the spindle was when I turned it off becomes the new mechanical zero coordinate. So no matter how many times you clear the x/y and z positions it wont update the mechanical coordinate and if you run a file directly from the machine it will go off to the mechanical zero then back to the working zero coordinate that you set by the clear and then go to the cut position. Which it can cause a lot of trouble specially if you are using fixtures instead of double sided tape because the spindle can crash into the fixture or even the stock material by doing that.

      @@xample222 OUCH, I have almost hit the clamps once so far, but I noticed you need to reset up each time. I have 3 more CNC machines coming so, we'll have to see what they do.

      Try pressing the POSITION button where you want the machine offset to be (same as G92) . After setting, jog the machine away then hit the "X,Y home button" on the controller. it should send the machine back to where you set it. Clearing X,Y on the controller clears this position. More than likely your program (not the machine) is sending the machine to an absolute machine X,Y position (G90) when you hit send. Like @sirTools says feeding it from a laptop using UGS makes this a lot easier.
